Is there any EN vtubers around that can actually manage to keep up kayfabe, i.e., stay in character? English vtubers seem allergic to separating their personal lives from their streams. No, I do not want to know that "funny" incident that happened to you at school or whatever the fuck you want to go on about.

When I watch streamers, that shit is tolerable. But when I watch vtubers, I ain't looking at whoever the hell you are legally. As far as I am concerned, you are an IRL anime girl made to entertain me, the viewer, and talk about your funny fictional anime girl stuff.

I thought the whole point of vtubing for these bitches was the separation of their IRL lives from their streaming careers. That's the whole point of the character names and introduction. But you can't have a good thing without the lowest denominator trying to cash in on it with their low effort slop, I guess.

So anons, any good EN vtubers around that can manage to keep up the kayfabe? Corporate or indie are both fine. Personality and everything else are secondary, I don't mind any GFE content, or if they're not interested in it. As a matter of fact, if either of those better matches their kayfabe, I'm good with it. Same with whether or not they’re parasocial. All I'm concerned about is them staying in character. Nothing's perfect, but anywhere close to that will do.

Avoid twitch in its entirety.

Not even JPs do that

The kayfabe is only for the first year. Then it always breaks apart.
>>
Wilhelmina and Malice maintain kayfabe pretty well

Unfortunately true

Pillowdear is great for it. She talks a lot about the “dream world” and its lore that she lives in, and her streams are just your own dreams. She also never leaves the house really so that helps

if you want the "anime girl" experience, learn japanese

go on, anon.

Are shut ins the answer to good kayfabe?
>>
>>107945028
As if the Japanese do it better, ok sure.
>>
>>107945100
Possibly. She doesn’t go to college and never has, and she lives alone with her female roommate that also has lore in her world. Every time she talks about something that happened to her, she says “before I died”, and then will talk about stuff in her dream world. Like she was explaining the other day how there are massive guardians in the dream world that keep nightmares at bay. She really leans into her character and avoid acting like she’s “a real girl”

Is this really all the "kayfabe" people want? Talk about your real life but put a little hat on it?
I guess it tracks with all the people who are able to ignore the obvious fact that almost all women have relationships with men but the moment a male shows up on stream they lose their shit.
>>
>>107945217
The difference with pillow is that while she does enjoy playing with the kayfabe, she is also quite forthcoming and honest about her personal life too. The reason she is able to behave that way though is because she doesn't actually have anything problematic that happened in her life that she might inadvertently mention. She was a depressed shut-in social reject femcel who was the prime bullying target for her entire school life, and went into ASMR when in high school and never bothered with college or anything like that.
So with her, you get the benefits of her engaging with her lore a bit, combined with the benefits of a super open person who comes clean about her personal life while having nothing to hide, which is simply naturally going to ease any potential anxiety people have.
In a way, even though she plays with her lore, she is extremely serious about and committed to her fans. It's a major reason it feels so safe to invest in her emotionally.
Ultimately, trustworthy seeming people are easier to trust. This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. If you want people to believe in you, be somebody that people can believe in.

I feel like for majority of EN vtubers, if I'm being generous, like 90% is their real self and the rest is character.
Realistically it's 70% themselves with like 10% character and the remaining 20 just fabricated truths to not reveal big details about themselves
>>
>>107945308
What is good kayfabe then, anon?
>>
>>107945217
is she fucking her roommate? If so can we watch?

Does she do cunny content or no?

I feel like NOBODY on /vt/ actually watches JP vtubers, because they seemingly love the concept of them as opposed to what they actually are in reality, cuz 9 times out of 10 you'll turn on a JP tuber and she'll say some shit like
>"Kyo wa tomodachi to yushoku tabemashita desu"
Because just like EN tubers, most of them fall-off doing character kayfabe within their first year. The concept in of itself is sorta dead and has been dead since livestreaming superseded videos because doing 2017-Kizuna Ai style character while streaming for 7 hours is just cumbersome
Unless you count like >>107945308 says "Talk about your real life but put a little hat on it" but imo that's such a low-barrier that it applies to far too many vtubers imo
>>
>>107950923
No, when it got brought up one time she said "Ew". She also said that she only has eyes for us.
>>
GFE won
>>
>>107950947
What even is cunny content? I'm gonna say no if you mean specifically underage roleplay or porn games or something like that.
>>
>>107955092
Aww.
>>
>>107953785
Based.
>>
>>107954977
can we have GFE and kayfabe?
>>
>>107955752
I mean she loves cunny and is pretty shameless about it so you'd still like her, but probably not something you could jerk off to
>>
>>107951264
>I feel like NOBODY on /vt/ actually watches JP vtubers,
Including you apparently. JP collabs literally feel like anime episodes.
