The most based thing Vedal has ever done was not making a guide on how to make your own AI vtubers and not releasing his own source code and software.
Imagine the sheer volume of shitty copycats and bandwagoners that would've followed had he done that. I have so much respect for him.

I'm considering making something similar to an AI vtuber after messing around with local LLMs a bunch, and the general architecture isn't as complicated as I initially thought after trying to break down how exactly Neuro works. The specifics is what is going to be tricky, especially relating to Live2D and audio piping for how I could possibly make the mouth move. I can see why Vedal won't use Linux with Neuro since Linux is notoriously a pain when it comes to audio shit. I don't want to say too much though, to protect the trade secrets. But I still need to do drawing and rigging reps for the model before I can even begin.

Before, in the past, I would've absolutely supported Vedal turning Neuro into a public project, but now I changed my mind.
Because in the past, I believed that Vedal and the project itself wasn't at all high-profile, and it wouldn't affect the streaming or content creating sphere all that much if he went public.
But now, I just don't think it'd be good for anyone involved due to how high-profile the project is now. And with normies going around spouting about how Neuro is 'unique' and 'ethical', if Vedal released the project publicly, and every lazy slopper there is used it, then that normie sentiment instantly goes down the drain.

Even in retrospect, it kind of surprises me that no one else emerged from the wild west era of AI vtubers as a genuine alternative to Neuro, they all pretty much crashed and burned for various reasons or limp onwards with a tiny audience.

Doing it now is even harder, since Neuro is that much more capable and so dominant that it would be impossible to launch a new AI vtuber without being directly compared to her. I just don't see anyone having the resources to launch a real competitor unless they're a capable or possibly some genius level autist, and even then, they'd probably fail.

Lots of great gaming streams in the last few months of this year
-Outfits, the Anny situation was a mess, and the Cyber Princess outfit is only OK, but it's good that we're actually able to discuss and hope for new outfits again without an avalanche of "How fucking dare you want new outfits why can't you understand the pain Anny is going through etc etc" I will not mess that era
