>>113033655There are levels to this shit I can talk online to groups of people just fine on discord or here on 4chan or whatever. I play games with new groups of people online thats fine. If I have been friends with someone for years I can talk to them just like normal. But if I am meeting new people for the first time IRL I will say next to nothing. I can't go into a barber shop and get a haircut without having an anxiety attack or being intoxicated. If a cashier tries to make small talk I freeze up. If I am asked to talk in front of group people IRL I will almost certainly have an anxiety attack if I can't get out of it somehow. For a "normally" functioning person all of that should be fine, they might get a bit nervous about speaking in front of the group IRL but that's it really. Some people who claim to be socially awkward to some degree have it far worse obviously and some people are better it's not really a black or white thing, it's more of spectrum of experiences and you can definitely work on it to improve yourself. I have been doing it for years and am far more comfortable than I used to be now after repeatedly exposing myself to situations I am uncomfortable in on purpose.
