Alexander will act like he fought Radahn with you and progress his quest as if he was there even if you beat him 1v1, and he doesn't have two minutes of monologue within the fight. Same goes for every other NPC quest. I'd say summoning for the final NPC battle is 100% justified but for both Mesmer and Bayle it breaks the fight. I dodged like shit with Mesmer this time around but ultimately I did him in 1 try because Hornsent tanked like 50% of his attacks and I could get so many free hits in. And I saw Bayle waste multiple of his big attacks like giant beams of death on Igon who seems to have near-infinite HP, and the biggest reason I could not do him in one try is because first three tries Bayle chewed me for some time while I was looking for Igon's sign among many player messages on the floor.

This is actually surprisingly easy with the right gear, you can parry Radahn very easily and the big meteorite is actually easier to dodge than his OG fight meteorite since that one actually tracks you. Communicating this to any Holo would be quite troublesome though.
