Given Riku's majority position, it's not hugely likely that a) is the motive, so that means the motives are likely to be squarely financial, and as far as I am aware Anycolor does not yet issue dividends. That could mean that Anycolor thinks its stock is currently undervalued and is doing a buyback while the price is low, and then potentially looking to issue some shares later on in the expectation that the price will go back up in future. Alternatively, they are looking to use the buybacks as a way to drive up the price now and boost the image of their financial health. This works by a) reducing the quantity of shares on the market and thus increasing their value by making them worth more of the company, and b) demonstrating that the company is making enough money that it (implicitly) has more than it can reasonably directly invest into expansion, and can thus afford to spend it on shoring up its more purely financial elements.
