I mean the only reason they can do this is because
A.) legal definition of slander is very weak and easy to meet. You can be sued for stating true factual things if the other party is butthurt enough aka thinks it's damaging. Like saying "this car wash fucking sucks they scratched the paint on my car don't go here" technically could be slander in Japan if the car wash owner thinks this damaged his business (how would you even prove that). So apply this, to vtubers, and now imagine the many countless shitposts there are about nijis - many of them actually quite justifiable.

B.) Some sites in Japan unironically attach public IPs to your posts. Anycolor does not have to do major ground detective work if someone is posting from a static IP, they have not already and can cite it for any post they get butthurt about.

Is this retarded? To us, yes basically. But that is how it works there and why Anycolor can have this campaign going.
