I've been using Duolingo for 1800 days now, and the enshittification has just become too much to bear.Is there a way to get it for free, or a similar app that's free? They made it so even if you join a classroom, you no longer have infinite hearts, so I'm out of tricks, and after they removed practicing to regain hearts, I don't have the patience to wait hours and hours between tries when I get tripped up on really trivial shit.
>>1511863Pick up a textbook for learners, and a very thorough grammar book written in thy NL, fuck off with duolingo and fucking STUDY, you fucking child.
>>1511930Piss off, I don't have the time or energy to study full out while also working full-time.
>>1511933>timeYes, you do actually. I've done so for a year by now. You have six hours to yourself every weekday, and we're no longer in highschool where we had to do homework. And that's not even counting the mornings. Or the weekends.>energyMaybe you work for the fucking marine corps or some hard, tiring ass job, maybe. But if you can spare one hour for real study, then that would blow a week of duolingo out of the fucking ocean. How could it blow a week of duolingo out of the ocean? Because duolingo sucks. 1448 days, you say? Those who've studied Japanese with books for that long could probably match a native. What can ''you'' match?
>>1511949>inb4 muh heckin' reddit spacing>inb4 you go back to jerking off with the illusion that you're working
>>1511863>1800 days (6 years)You have a decent understanding of the language now, yes? Just include using the language in your life (change your phone/computer's locale, visit forums, read books, ...)... if it's not the case... um... try anki, I guess?
>>1511863anki does the same thing basicallyyou have to make your own cards, not shitty pre-made ones
>>1511985>>1511930>>1511959Holy fucking shit, why are you niggers so old fashioned? Books and fucking flashcards? I asked for an alternitave to Duolingo, what can't you bricks understand?
>>1512124https://ankiweb.net/shared/decksPeople usually use Duolingo for basics and move on to Anki when they have a basic grasp of the language. Just try it out for a bit bruv, the premade decks can be a lot of fun.
