I am running fossapup 9.5 off of a usb on an old ass laptop where window died (never had this issue there) and I have this very perssstent issue of the internet breaking after about half an hour to an hour of my computer being turned on, often triggered by downloading or otherwise using a lot of internet (usually breaks immediately, it's not like it's fatigue). Restarting always fixes it and it almost never comes up again the same day after said restart regardless of how long it is on for that day. It's not my internet cutting out, the icon remains as it is and doesn't show a loss of connection, nor does waiting ever fix it (maybe it has once or twice but that was like waiting half an hour by coincidence), and this is a wireless connection but again it's not a connection issue nor is wired a convenient alternative if that would even help. There have been periods where resrating immediaely pre-emptively has helped and times where it hasn't. This has been happening the entire two years I've been running this.
Hopefully that's all the relevant information, I'd love to fix this but I'd also be more than fine with a way to fix it without restarting.

Mind sharing the specs? Also if it's not too much trouble, what's stopping you from installing a distro onto the existing hard drive (if there is one installed).

I figured I'd see if I could find the network adapter too and I did, there's more shit under PCI devices where I found that too.

No desire to, I mean this was half meant to be a stopgap anyway but it's frankly enough for me so I haven't sorted anything else out.

It's a driver thing?
