There's been a lot of controversy about the Stanford Prison Experiment over the years and a lot of talking heads have praised it or damned it or both, but I don't care about any of them. I saw a youtube video years ago that talked about how the experiment was a sham and in that video, there were cuts to a 70's talk show where the subjects of the experiment explained why it was a sham. The subjects were all actors. Not in the sense that the experiment was rigged, but they were actors as a hobby/passion/wannabe profession. On top of that, they were members of an improv acting club on campus. They said Zimbardo offered them payment to partake in his psychology experiment of simulating a prison scenario. So they did what improv actors do: they acted out the scenario. But you don't need to believe whatever some asshole on 4chan is saying. There was some kind of talk show that hosted these guys where they explain it in detail. Can anyone help me find that talk show interview?
