I've been using Picard to try to obtain metadata (tags) for my unsorted/badly-sorted mp3 collection, and I've whittled it down so only 500 files still lack the proper metadata... although I haven't checked every new folder yet. I guess, I'm having trouble figuring out next steps. Picard advises that my situation is tricky: "When files are not grouped and have little or no existing metadataļThis is perhaps the worst case scenario, because it provides the greatest chance of tagging your music files with an incorrect match from the MusicBrainz database. In this situation, you will need to feed batches of files to Picard to process. In order to minimize the performance impact, it is recommended to keep the batches relatively small (i.e.: approximately 200 files at most in a single batch). Picard will try to group them into clusters based on their AcoustID fingerprints."Again, about 500 files are unable to be identified at all this way, even though I've tried manually adding in tags from filenames where I'm able using TagScanner

>>1522563Honestly, I've considered that. Would have saved me the 12 hours I spent on this asinine project
