Wondering if there is a definitive movie torrent site similar to nyaa for anime where there is a community that is active in making/finding the best releases for movies and archiving more obscure films like things from the silent era that are hard to find. I know of 1337, but are there any other movie-oriented torrent sites with an active community?

>>1522582I figured there would be some invite only sites. Is there anything similar available to plebs?

>>1522580>Wondering if there is a definitive movie site where there is a community that is active in making/finding the best releases for moviesBy definition you want access to a "hoarder" site where the people are a seriously helpful community. They do exist and even have alternate audio tracks where the director/staff make running comments on the movie.>invite only sitesYou know why. There's too many people out there that want stuff and then just for kicks, report a site because they feel good knowing that people will squirm and curse as the mpaa goes after them. If you can prevent people from doing this, then they will return to serving plebs. Many hoarders are genuine movie fans and want others to see and hear things like running commentaries.https://torrentfreak.com/
>>1522589Maybe im dumb but how do you sign up for rutracker? Either I cant figure out their registration page or its closed atm. Also that seems like a useful list but which ones are good for movies?>>1522606Yea I get it. Do you have any suggestions?
>>1522633>Yea I get it. Do you have any suggestions?Install Jackett as >>1522589 mentioned. It works with qbittorrent to provide search options. After installation, look in the menu tray of litle icons (bottom right of windows) for the Jackett icon. Right click on it and pick "Open Web UI". Eventually it will open up on the browser the Jackett UI (it has to do some online checks first) so if you have slow internet, it takes its time handshaking. Click the "+ Add Indexer" option to add various torrent search locations to your Jackett. If you add a lot, it will take some time because it has to go out and verify with each site and then wait for responses before timing out.You will see a lot of torrent sites not shown to you at TORRENTFREAK and of course hoarder sites aren't listed because if they get listed, they give feedback to get unlisted again. Some of those torrent sites listed have "secret" subsidiary sites for the more questionable items, and Jackett doesn't show any of them (which is a good thing). Publicity kills some of the best sites. There are a lot of resentful assholes out there that demand pure socialism, and any site that restricts them makes them LIVID with self-righteous liberal anger. They then try to get those sites closed down. Is that self-defeating? Maybe or maybe not because serving their ideology is more important to them.Anyways, get Jackett going. It's a solid next step in finding things without fumbling around searching sites one at a time.
