hay anons im encoding some wrestling in480p what would be a good bitrate and codec to get 500 megs per hour

For bitrate, my napkin math comes out to about 1mbps. For video codec, h.265 (hevc) and av1 will be what you want to pick. For audio, aac is good and will pair well with h.265, but I'd recommend opus (especially for av1) and to set the bitrate to about 80~kbps.
