Is there a way to find an image/thread from an image number? For example, when I saved an image on /a/ it was saved as '1756827478206078.png'. Is there a way to reverse search back into this thread?
It's a unix timestamp. On archived.moe /a/ direct search is disabled. You can try searching by hash if you have the image (drag it). Searching the filename 1756827478206078 had no results so it may or may not be related to the disabled direct search. You also might've saved it like a retard without preserving the original filenames. This is why you should save the original filenames especially if you want to post any of them later. It will help you and other anons to find where it came from quicker(sometimes it's pretty much impossible without the original filename). Dunno if there are any other /a/ archives.
>>1548985Yes, OP should just hash search it. But I hope you don't mind me butting in with some extra info.>Dunno if there are any other /a/ archives. There's desuarchive. Here's a list of archives:https://archive.4plebs.org/_/articles/credits/#archives>Searching the filename 1756827478206078That works sometimes, but there's this "full_image" feature that archives have. It looks like this:https://desuarchive.org/a/full_image/1756827478206078.pngNow, you'll notice that link above says "Error! The image was never in our databases." That's because 4chan changed filenames from 13 digits long to 16 digits long a few years ago. Some archives still only support the old 13 digit filenames, so they just drop the last three digits. So do this instead:https://desuarchive.org/a/full_image/1756827478206.pngAnd there's the image. Now it can be hash searched as you suggested.Note that some archives updated to support 16 digits, so whether you need to chop off the last three digits depends on the archive.
