The British made Burma. When the British left, Burma entered a civil war. Everything before is not one unified Burma, but divided among the ethnic groups.

The civil war has no sign of ending thanks to China sponsoring all sides in order to help them make the most money out of the situation. In the end, they will be the only winners.
