You wake up and remember that the new creation is officially here. And you know it’s here. The moment you open your eyes, it feels like you’ve always been here, yet there’s the knowledge that just ‘yesterday’ the world was finally judged for the final time, and all evil now completely destroyed. Perfect harmony now. Paradise.

>Indeed, this ability requires a wonderful dignification in men. For that intellect which is in us, the highest mind of the soul is the only operator of wonders. When it is overwhelmed by the commerce of excessive flesh and occupied by the sensible soul of the body, it does not merit the command of divine substances. Thus, many who pursue this art are frustrated.

For example, his world history and his ideas about the 7 congregations. He is one of Denmark's keen writers, I don't even know if there is a number on all the stuff he wrote. People these days would give him a yard long list of diagnoses. Most Danes only know Grundtvig through "Den danske folkehøjskole" and then Reich.
He is really hard to read for a 21st' century Dane.

>>37720763
Yes. They all always have a lot of conspiracies about Emperor Constantine creating all of this too. Not realizing he was an Arian and friend of Arius himself. He was hoping the Council wouldn't have been as one sided, if anything. But he didn't act up too much over it. His son was Arian too and he tried to undo it all.
I respect Orthodox despite calling him a saint (Catholics don't), but his mother was the true saint.

I'm not so sure. Maybe he did find it in himself towards the end of his life, but in his writings, he stood in awe of the Knight but didn't see himself as one (yet).

I have a question anons, appreciate your input.

I have recently left New Age shit behind to return Christ. I have noticed considerable more peace and good fortunes coming my way. I know the way is Jesus.

I went to a Jesuit silent retreat and had a great experience, felt closer to God after I returned.Thing is I have found online and after watching some Christian Orthodox videos that Jesuits have more sinister intentions and the way of christians is actually suffering and to reject all the easy ways of the world. I can get what he means by that but its becoming clear that there are way more roads within the Christian umbrella as I knew. Are there some demonic in nature? What is the simplest way to know you are in the right path without adding more complexities?
>>
>>37726326
Read the bible first before you listen to random internet opinions. Fortune is fickle, faith is beyond knowledge.
>>
>>37726326
Jesuit conspiracies were created by Protestants because the Jesuits (formed by St. Ignatius) dismantled their arguments and slowed the Reformation. If not Jesuits, then also those who were educated among the Jesuits. And there are many of those too. It's a big reason why France remained Catholic, in particular.
They were also highly productive missionaries, but one of their strategies was to find the common ground and relate it to the Gospel. Just as St. Paul himself did in the Bible:
>I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.-1 Cor 9:22
He wasn't interested in bringing people to any "culture" but to Christ himself. So Jesuits tried to do the same, but over time, got accused of being too flexible. There's an argument to made for that, but they meant well. They didn't think it necessary to transform Indians or Asians into Europeans per se.
Pope Francis is a Jesuit himself, and speaks like one sometimes. I think he's spot on, personally. Christ brings out the best in everyone. People don't have to change their entire culture:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3nvzWzFDeN8

Orthodox are cool, but they are not as successful with missions as Catholics like they were in the earlier centuries of the Church. And each of their regional churches are so nationalistic that it's very intertwined with religious practice.

You could point to any individual, but Catholics as a whole have staved off Freemasons more than any group in the world. It is Catholic nuns and priests who suffered and died in droves in the first Masonic revolutionary movements like in France. It is Catholics who don't give this wide berth to Israel like Evangelicals do, and is put on full display currently right now. It is Catholics who have codified into Canon Law that you are excommunicated if you join a Masonic lodge. As in, you lose all grace unless you repent. No other churches have the authority to even try this, while Catholics will crack down on it. And even if they had the capability, none of the major Protestant sects ever speak strongly against it: Episcopal, Methodist, etc.. Pointing to some guy's supposed hand signs while blatantly ignoring huge patterns in history and canon law is ridiculous.

Libido is just another tool that your body uses to keep us going. Like any other tool, it can be abused or misused and cause us suffering. When you live with a purpose in your heart, lustful cravings stop being the stumbling block that they could be.

>If any of you has a dispute with another, how can you seek judgment before those who are unrighteous instead of before the saints? Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, how can you consider yourselves as incompetent to deal with smaller cases? Do you not realize that we are to judge angels? Why then should we not deal with matters of this life? -1 Cor 6:1-3
And this apostolic authority that Paul expected the church of Corinth to exercise ultimately comes from Jesus.

Start with the Gospel of John, maybe read Acts after that, then you can start from the beginning but I also recommend you have commentaries at hand to resolve issues you see (legit ones, not whatever you can on blogs or whatever)

The reading plan from the "Great Adventure" series (a Catholic bible study, but it's only bible related if you're not Catholic) has a good overview of the narratives. Then you can fill the gaps later. Although I might recommend reading Luke+Acts first. Then start here with Genesis.
You can also mix it up with reading some Psalms inbetween all of these.

It's best to drop the New Age Astrology and see it through a Paracelsian lense, as our body is the Microcosm to the Macrocosm of the world, Astrology is simply a map of our inner world

I recently began reading the Ginza (Mandean holy book) and find it rather enlightening, like an extension of the old testament that is believable and not just a dry copy offshoot like Joseph Smith's fabrications. Still they deem Jesus a sorcerer and arrogant pretender and only accept John the Baptist as the final prophet. What I appreciate is their veneration and focus on Adam and their creation story and narrative is fascinating too. I also find their weekly baptism rituals very good, water rituals were very relevant in many ancient religions and also Judaism and at least ancient Christianity.

The irony (I'm the original anon who pointed out the historical enmity with Catholics and Masons) is that I like Luther in many ways. Puritans and many Anglos not so much. They opened the gates to rabbis and Anglicans joined lodges in droves.
Sidenote: all of those Masonic bibles have Anglican and Episcopal roots too. To this day, Oxford still prints them for the lodges. Along with the "Scofield" bible, which is for the shabbos goy and roped in the non-Anglican Evangelicals. A lot of Americans especially. While full blown Masonry is for the WASPs. And Oxford caters to both.
One should question why even in the 21st century, and it's higher learning and liberal tendencies, that Oxford will hold tight to pushing the Scofield bible.

Tak, as we say her in Denmark or thanks like the anglos say it.
Denmark is completely devoid of Saints, even Mary with the baby Jesus is only something we see in larger pictures at Christmas and bears no resemblance to icons or places where you can send her a silent prayer. And after 1948's female priests and 60's feminisme, Our Lady is almost hated by the progressive part of the priests because of the view of women they they see in her. Most "priests" in Denmark are women now.
So no Theotokos for us.
Saints became a total no no after the 1536 Reformation.
But I love the Saints!
Pic is a post 68' danish "church". I think it's from 1978.

I'm very much in the minority here, but I don't quite dislike that architecture. It could be better, but I'm not going to hate. It's not exclusive to Protestants either. A lot of Catholic churches built in the 20th century are like that in America too. What I don't appreciate is something completely plain or resembling a warehouse. At least that still vaguely seems like a church.

I love our old churches, but even Danish churches built in the 1900s can be incredibly charming - in the last /cge/ I showed pictures from a church built in Copenhagen around 1890-1900 which I like very much.
Here is a picture from inside the modern church built in 1978 where I have a hard time feeling like I'm in a church. I know the congregation down there cares a lot about the church and that is the most important thing not my taste. They are both churches built by the Danish state church, as 90% of the churches here in Denmark are.

What are your thoughts on Hell here? Any Universalists, Purgatorialists? Infernalism is the one element of Christianity that really gives me pause, I love the Christian life, but I really struggle to reconcile Eternal Hell with Infinite Love. All attempts to seem like sophistry or cope to me (hope that doesn't sound too arrogant) .
I actually feel MORE compelled to live a Christian life and spread the good news when I engaged under hopeful universalism.

I've only become more Orthodox over time. The last heretical belief I entertained was the preexistence of souls, which I no longer have any confidence in. With that said, your struggle with God on this issue is, like all of them, incredibly petty and stupid. The damned suffer perdition and it is eternal, but obviously that doesn't extend to an infinite amount of time since eternity is the opposite of time. Moreover, since Hell is the evil in a heart arising from the absence of God, the "infinite measure of time" view of Hell implies that there is evil that God will not defeat, despite desiring to do so. It's hard to label that notion anything short of blasphemy. It's absolutely retarded, and you should have been able to figure this out without being spoonfed. Now stop asking questions and trust God to reveal everything to you in the future.
>>
>>37749915
I do need to study the Bible more, which I why I only try to say what I know. David Bentley Hart seems to think it is just obvious that the New Testament supports either Annihilationism or Universalism, but many think he's a 'Heretic' so I don't know. I'll just continue to love God and my neighbour and keep studying.

Maybe I'm retarded because I just don't understand this.
>>
>>37749943
Hart is a bit too sure of his position, but I do respect him for a lot of other reasons.
That said, that scripture I just quoted is Jesus saying there is a way out of prison, but there is still punishment nonetheless and it's most definitely something to be avoid.
Catholics reconcile teachings on damnation with this passage using purgatory. "New Thought" types and Gnostics would earth itself is the prison and we are reborn until we learn the lessons we need. Orthodox and Protestants don't teach much on the passage afaik.
I would tell you my own personal thoughts and experience, but I've said before that I don't want to make anyone stumble. I would say the more important thing is to avoid this punishment at all costs. Strive to be a saint. It's the only way to win.

I'm beginning to understand that the Son is the true "personal aspect" of God even if the Spirit and the Father are also presented as personal in their own way. He was always the divine face of the Godhead as the "Angel of God," and later became its human face as well. It's hardly any surprise He is the most beloved; I myself find myself turning to Him before the Father or the Spirit.

The easiest way to rationalize it is this:
God loves himself, subject, verb object
The subject is God, the Father
The verb is loves, the Holy Spirit
The object is himself, the Son
The same way God is One Essence and Three Persons, so 'God loves himself' od three separate words which refer to the same thing
(On the case of loves, we believe that God is simple and is the same as his acts)
>>37755827
He is an angel of the abyss, not of God, so he is a more negative entity than you'd think, generally we consider him to be a demon

For us most definitely. Being both God and Man makes Jesus the image and bridge that brings us closer to God and reconciles the Father to humanity, in turn. And by being incorporated to the Body of Christ and sharing in the Spirit of God, humans are graced as children of God.
Those who think we are all children of God by default are sadly mistaken. We are born as children of Death. Even some highly respected teachers forget this sometimes. Especially interfaith proponents. They mean well and I understand they speak in love, but interfaith efforts should only be an invitation to become a child of God. You can't invite people to the family without Christ. And it is not a power they can give anyhow:
>But to all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God; who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. -John 1:11-13
>>
>>37756523
On a somewhat related note, but very loosely, here's another thing that blew my mind about Eucharistic miracles which I didn't pay as much attention to until recently.
All of the blood types of these miracles have an AB blood type, which is the Universal Recipient type.
Jesus absorbs us, if we come to him. We become part of his Body, just as it is said. And he mystically absorbed all of those who accepted him on the cross, to take the pain and punished we deserved. That was US.

When you realize that "through him all things were made" in the Creed refers to Christ you begin to see this much clearer
>>
>>37759148
How Christian is it really?
>>
>>37760110
Depends on the author
Gemistos Plethon and Giordano Bruno aren't Christians
Ficino, Pico, Trithemius and Agrippa were, but their work can be put on a spectrum between orthodox and suspect, the image i posted is a general diagram of Renaissance Natural Magic, Planetary influences were accepted during those days even though the fate inherent in Astrology wasn't, the Imaginative Faculty also was accepted and Important
The 'four channels' of mahic also were in their A. form as seen in the diagram, the B. forms are explicitly magical, Talismans are suspect, same with some incantations but names of God in Hebrew and the name of Jesus are fine, the B. Of Vis Musices is only theory applied to Music, and things having Occult Qualities was also accpeted (Alchemy)
Now on their effects, Psychological Subjective ones were alright, not on others unless it was about something like healing (Pico) or Initiation (Lazzareli), Psychological and Psychosomatic effects are both good as seen in the effects of Christian Mysticism, Physical ones ar emore suspect as it's connected to Idols and Talismans
The biggest problem was the use of spirits, if you don't have spirits, be they demons or angels, you're fine for the most part

God gives you infinite love, if you just stop worrying about things and focus on the present you'll see that the default state of feelings is love. Once you realize that you then can tap into it and redirect it to where you want, even back to God. You never run out of love and you feel you an love even the people you never thought you could. And it's not something you need to meditate years to achieve, but it's rather simple. Just stop overthinking. Thing of love like a electromagnetic wave, god sends ot to all including you, and then you can also send is wherever you want. It's something you can tap on it at will.

>The ancient rites have lost their effectiveness since Christianity appeared in the world. The Christian and Catholic religion, in fact, is the legitimate daughter of Jesus, King of the Mages. A simple scapular worn by a truly Christian person is a more invincible talisman than the ring and pentacle of Solomon. The Mass is the most prodigious of evocations. Necromancers evoke the dead, the sorcerer evokes the devil and he shakes, but the Catholic priest does not tremble in evoking the living God. Catholics alone have priests because they alone have the altar and the offering, i.e the whole of religion. To practice high Magic is to compete with the Catholic priesthood; it is to be a dissident priest. Rome is the great Thebes of the new initiation…

The mysterious round churches on Bornholm. The island of Bornholm in the Baltic Sea is probably only known to most people because of the explosion of the Nordstream 2 gas pipeline in connection with the conflict between the West and Russia few kilometers from the island. Bornholm hides many historical mysteries, among other things, many believe that the Burgundians originated from the island originally. But where is Bornholm? Just a refresher.
>>
>memed by memiurge
>>
>>37772681
Those were the round churches we came from. Many explanations have been given as to why they are built in a style that is largely not seen elsewhere in the Nordics or most of Europe. They appear around 1140 and especially since the Knights Templar were the big thing in popular history a few years back, a lot was written about the churches and Templars. There is certainly a connection between the two things, but how much is hard to know because of all the hype and attempts to get tourists to the island. But if there are some who want to poke their nose into some real mysteries, then Bornholm is the obvious place to look.
And remember the Burgundians too!

How Tertullian and Origen are treated in the Church reminds me of what happens to Jesus in Dostoevsky's Grand Inquisitor 'story', where the Inquisitor arrests but then later releases him, the same way we consider Tertullian and Origen heretics, but also accept most of their teachings at the same time

Discussion of hellside with demons. Talk with me about Christianity lore please or ignore away.
Talking about underworld drama with "demons". Smart people get it. Dumb ppl make fun pf themselves in a mirror and disappear into sleep.

Montanists as a whole too. The Church has taken some of their brave saints and made them their own, because they're undeniably compelling. But Tertullian was unfortunately the loudest voice and made a scapegoat.

Most of us have German at school and those who grow up in the southern part of Jutland also grew up with a little German TV (it was more in the past) so most Danes understand German but speak it very badly. We are much better at English, which we all almost all understand and speak almost albeit with a heavy accent. A lot of mostly older people in east Denmark understand Swedish because we grew up with Swedish TV. We had one Danish TV channel and then two Swedish channels that East Denmark could see and then some Germans one that southern Jutland could see.

Astrology is about as "sinful" as weather forecasting. It simply reports the archetypal dynamics at play in the collective unconscious. God wouldn't have given us this information if he didn't want us to use it.

NTA but the problem is overpersonalizing it. We are not the main characters.
I've said it already before in other threads, but I maybe I should say it here: Theo-Drama. Not Ego-Drama. And only by attaching ourselves to God and finding our place in his drama do we have life and meaning.
Which brings me to another point about Mary. The same anon (I presume) is annoyed with me for pointing out the wrongness of some of Marian depictions. Mary is never a "black Madonna" or anything associated with darkness. She is symbolic of the moon, who reflects her Son, and has herself become a light in the darkness.
And like Revelation says, the moon is under her feet, but she shines in the heavens by being clothed with the sun.
This whole passage in itself is astrotheology (not astrology per se) and there is more to it. God will most definitely use these symbols in more ways than one.

I agree. But, on a temporal level, we are all articulations of archetype. How we choose to articulate that archetype is up to us, to a large extent. But we must comply to the text literally, metaphorically, or in some nominal sense at least. The higher vibration we are, the more degrees of freedom we are afforded in interpreting the text that God has given us. That's what this transitional period is about.

I think Black Madonna is a traditional Catholic depiction.

It's one thing to have old aged icons and woods turn dark, but not deliberate designs.
But to be kind, pale white Madonnas aren't always good either.

Gloria Vanderbilt.. yeah, creepy lady from old money. Elite of the elites. CNN host Anderson Cooper's mother too (he's one of the kids, but the brother died).
There's some hint that these screwed up paintings of Tony Podesta's featuring tortured children tied to some kind of tiled wall actually happened.... and the place was the Vanderbilt mansion pool.

If all you're doing is sharing good information then you don't have anything to apologize for. I just wasn't expecting the Podesta stuff and all that. Just don't ignore God's gift of free will either, but that's up to you too.

>Just don't ignore God's gift of free will either, but that's up to you too.
I like the idea of freedom, but it just paralyzes me. It's how I became a hermit in the first place. I can't make huge decisions without God's guidance. I don't know how others just go about their way deciding their careers or who to marry or much of anything. So I just sat and waited.

Any advice on overcoming spiritual dryness when doing prayers? I used to be able to get so into it when praying an Our Father or a Glory Be, but despite trying really hard to say these, its hard to do it in a sincere and convincing way. Been in this funk for a few weeks now.

Sounds like how Finns get to learn Swedish
Speaking of Swedish, i had a Swedish friend who told me of how he grew up with a few German channels
This seems to be pretty common in the North Sea, you all learn each others tongues, from English to Swedish, they're all Germanic ones so that helps as well

The sentimentality involved in prayer isn't important, what is important is the result of prayer, just think of this as a test, if you go on and continue as usual and don't get overcome by sloth, you will be rewarded

Pizzagate is real. And the Black Madonna is the antidote to all that Satanic shit.
>>
>>37781173
It's less about pizzagate specifically being real and more about most of 'higher society' (rich people, their artist friends, etc...) being a bunch of pederasts, that isn't even something you have to try to prove, it's right there
>>
>>37781820
Yes. And the Black Madonna is the antidote to that.

Only see Nikolaj play at a little theater here in Denmark in the 90'
We made some good movies and had some good actors 20-30 years ago and all det dogme movie stuff came out of Denmark.
Not really seen any movies the last 15 years but this Dane i know became famous out in the big World.
>>
>>37783963
Nikolaj is the best thing about Game of Thrones. Complicated character that's both villain and hero at times. And he does a flawless posh British accent. The series itself is hit and miss though.

Almost reminds me of Enya's "The Celts". There's a legend that they were some of few pagans that rejoiced in hearing the Gospel. Like they were always prepared for it and the new world it would bring.
In any case, Enya's beautiful.
