Do you believe in Bigfoot?
Not really, though I find some evidence compelling like the Patterson–Gimlin film and the Sierra sounds. I can't really say they're real proof or couldn't be hoaxed. I DO believe that people have very strange encounters and I don't think every single person claiming to have seen bigfoot is full of shit but I don't really believe there's an extant giant apeman we've never gotten definitive proof of either.

I also think that the encounters that are not in deeply secluded and undeveloped areas are bullshit and those places have gotten fewer and farther between in the last century. I believe that theres been sufficient enough evidence to support the existence of sasquatch. If it exists though its an extremely intelligent primate species. there are some stories and accounts that seem plausible and trustworthy enough (like the Sierra tapes) though the fact that bigfoot is not infrequently associated with high strangeness and UFO sightings if anything makes me lean closer to the Jacques Vallee school of thought than towards them being another gorilla situation, though I am very open to both natural and unnatural explanationsstrange reclusive wildmen feature in cultural histories with way more frequency than you would normally expect for the geographic distribution of a biological animal, especially with how low the populations would have to be for them to remain so hard to identify and track. Neanderthals went extinct in part because how genetically isolated and few they were in number and we still have significantly more evidence for them than bigfoot

My biggest take away is everything EVERYTHING a biologist says about populations is complete baloney they never backed stuff up. They have no credibility and they make stuff up all the time.
