Pic related, how true is this? I'm sure we're all aware that atleast 50% of stuff on 4chan are bots, so what are the implications of this? >Specifically, I'm wondering why you're still here? You know half the replies are bots right?
>>41860349>Specifically, I'm wondering why you're still here? You know half the replies are bots right?there is no other place for me. i am not allowed on "social" media etc because i am not willing to spread and live lies. this here is literally the only website i use. and no matter how fucked it is it is still better than anything normalfags came up with.
>>41860349>These platforms construct detailed psychological profilesI don't think that's quite true. At least not in the sense that some CIA glownigger can get a nice printed form of you entire psyche by asking the engagement systems nicely. They could get something sure but not in great detail. The reason being is that these engagement AI's work on their own AI nonsense, just fuck tons of ifs that have been made by generation upon generation of monitoring, testing and reevaluating. Its at the point where it's workings are so powerful that they are almost unknowable in understandable human logical. So I think yeah they have a big profile, but its only readable by itself, or at least there might be another AI to try and interpret it.
>>41860446how is interacting with bots (granted, bots that are programmed to be slightly edgier than instagram bots) worth any time at all? Go find a local poker game that happens in your city and you'll have a new, real, IRL friend group by the end of the night, it's that easy. And it will feel better and more rewarding than anything you'll consume here.t. just did this
>>41860472yes i agree, it's probably unknowable and unreadable to humans, but the algorithm does certainly have a huge level of detail on your psyche. The fact that it can't be interpreted by humans is both reassuring, but also even more dystopian because it illustrates just how far gone we really are. The algorithm has advanced beyond us already, and yet is the predominant influencer of our thoughts, beliefs, and behaviours.
>>41860349Nah this and 2chan have the lowest bot activity on the web, it seems. Because of the captchas?? Also I can see the future of "influencers":There won't be any. They will just be ai generated, ai generated YouTubers, yeah. Basically with everyone consooming there will be noone creating. The internet used to be a special place, until it was given to everyone. We had our fun with it, now what it once was is gone. The same thing will happen to ai. Ai will be gatekept so only a select few will be able to use it, or we could use it if we paid a fee.
>>41860473these people also have smartphones and statistically use popular social media. although I agree irl connection with even normies is more beneficial than solely online interactions
>>41860473>IRL friend group by the end of the nightyou are delusional. have you learned nothing in the last 6 years? how old are you?
>>41860485the only irony for me is I went from having highly educated people pour their heart and souls out into dialogue trees in offline rpgs to getting relentlessly trolled by assholes online to this current shitshow of bots and room temp iq zoomers just spitting out random, disconnected 'takes' on whatever radioactive talking point slips out turd wise from the media drip feederI have nostalgia for the offline days and early www but I also recognize that hey were super gay and super pedo groomy, like way more gay than any of you kids can even imagine. From what I understand the pre www net was even worse, it just get less attention than any of the crimes comitted here in the 2000speople irl are still mostly dickheads or relentlessly seething faggots/women and my computer still only provides a very limited relief from being griefed or grief dumped, seemingly all people were meant to do was make each other angry>t just got chewed up for hours on end after giving up my whole day in yet another fruitless attempt at loving my god given family
>>41860473also who said i dont have social connections? i just limit them to actual humans. for example if someone uses a shartphone and social media he/she automatically goes into the animal group for me. meaning they are tools and food and maybe even pets. the ones i call friend and equal i can count on one hand and thats just how i like it.your poker night is just as fake and retarded as posting here.
>>41860349Not even just bots, but imps too.Why do I interact with a place infested and ran by tincans and diggers? I have nothing to do offline really. I have no friends, have no job, have little in the way of things to do in my area. I do go outside often enough, but other than that, wtf am I supposed to do to keep somewhat sane?
Bump
>>41862045thanks for bumping my thread, what do you think of the content silos and algorithms controlling our lives?
4chan ios quite niche in comparison to what the OP image is talking about.
>>41862599They can read our minds. Users will regularly post stuff I recently seen or thought about. I think it can also be used to install lust or fear or anger by the demons that run the internet. For example, the Instagtam algorithm presenting porn and gore to many users was demonic. They even had memes that hinted at it happening shortly before the event.
>>41863089tsmt>>418628184chan is estimated to get 80 million visits per month. It's one of the biggest websites in the world and a household name, it's not as 'niche' as you think.
