It makes zero sense that they would need, let alone want, to drink our blood. Even if they are extra dimensional They are still biological reptiles and according to the mythos descended from dinosaurs so if anything they would raw eat eggs, they also have sharp teeth so having a liquid diet makes no sense from an evolutionary standpoint. The only alien drinking blood that makes sense would be some type of humanoid Bats Mosquitos or leeches.

Also the whole thing about them needing to eat our emotions only makes half sense, why only negative emotions? Positive ones are way stronger, being super happy literally makes you feel high while depression and anxiety leaves you drained, if they used us like drugs for loosh why not keep us in a perpetual state of ecstatic bliss which would also make us want to stay here forever and we wouldn't even think of how to bypass the moon matrix soul recycler.
