Today I finally attempted my first conjuration, and as promised I am letting you gusy know how the operation went.First I must sadly say that the conjuration failed in the most mediocre of ways, nothing happened.The operation was done today wednesday 18 of February 2026.Perhaps the day chosen was ill fated as the combination of the moon being still close to the sun, though in Pisces, and the eclipse the day before might have impaired the manifesting of the spirit. The reason I chose this day is because Valac being a Mercurial spirit I didn't want to have the moon square to it, as next week the moon shall be in Gemini. The conjuration was done after fasting seven days, the first four being an intermitent fasting where I only ate one meal a day, and the last three and a half days(I started my fast the night of the Saturday) being water only. I am still in a fast like state as I only had a vegetable broth after the operation. The fast came with abstinence from sexual activity for 9 days. As well as daily ritual confession and meditation.As to what I think might have gone wrong...The medals on which I laser engraved the sigils of Valac, Iahhel, and the pentacle and hexagram of solomon were made in steel, I did worry about the iron component of steel but I didn't really have other means. The sword chosen, with a black grip, was also steel, which might have dilluted its iron.Furthermore the consecrations were done on a waning moon, rather than a waxing moon. I was ill advised on this.What I had consecrated were: The robes, a belt, a whistle to awaken the spirits of the fourth directions, modelled after the sound of a hoopoe, three pens, coal, candle, censor, white paper, the "contract" outlining my expectations of Valac, a book with the conjurations, incense, the seals, a piece of paper with the seal of Raphael, holy water, and its container.
Some more issues with my ritual.The robes were more of a greysh colour than pure white, what was pure white was the belt.Furthermore the candle chosen was not beeswax. Another big issue I ran into was the fact that the coal started dying rather quickly, and I ran out of storax to burn, I think this was the worst aspect of my organisation. I miscalculated the amount of incense and the amount of coals needed to keep the ritual going.I also stepped into the circle wearing socks, which I forgot to consecrate.But when I recited the first conjuration outlined in the Goetia of Dr Rudd, the one I had actually managed to memorise fully, I did feel a chill air fill the room, like the temperature dropped, which is one of the signs that the spirit is manifesting. Sadly it did not last long.Other than thatThe circle was the three bands circle from the Heptameron, drawn with consecrated chalk.The inner circle says+Agla+ +Adonai+ +Eloy+ +Tetragrammaton+The middle circle lists the Name of the hour, ThamicThe angel of the hour, RaphaelThe seal of RaphaelThe angel of the day, RaphaelHis ministers, Miel and SeraphielThe name of the season I am working in, CasmaranAngels of the season, Gargatel, Tariel, GavielSign of the season, TubielName of the Earth in this season, FestaviName of the sun in this season, AthemaiName of the moon in this season, ArmatusOuter circle lists the aerial king of this day and his ministers Mediat Rex, Suquinos, and Sallales.I used a triangle with its base pointing towards the circle, and its point towards the west. As Valac is said to be a western spirit.I also had a bell besides the triangle, so that I would be alarmed if any spirit manifested. It did not ring.I can also share the template I created if anyones interested.

It seems like you do not have much experience with this sort of thing and you are approaching it like a chemistry experiment, in which details like clean glassware, pure reagents, exact temperatures and good lab technique are the elements crucial to success. In what you are doing the material details are not what is important, what is important is your own mind, how much control you have over it, and things like control over spiritual and mental energy that you might call mana, chi, prana, kundalini or whatever. It is difficult to hold so many things in your mind at one time during an operation. When you have physical objects, and you have done the work to intimately teach yourself those correspondences so that you know them on an intuitive level, the physical object allows you to focus on other things while your subconscious is reading those symbols.
