>>42085083They are cuddly lefties to an average casual rock listener. But they are up to no good. For instance, watch the official video clip for "Mein Herz Brennt" and tell me if you believe they are the good guys.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WXv31OmnKqQ
>>42085417Exactly!
It's important to understand that Rammstein come from East Germany under Soviet occupation. They're very good at layering symbolism and using metaphor, as was necessary as the members grew up. With that said, industrial music is deeply entwined with the occult. Early progenitors Throbbing Gristle with Genesis P.Orridge were members of The Process Church, and by proxy influenced Skinny Puppy, Ministry, NIN and others with that same esoteric current. Rammstein is much the same, but with Laibach. The musical genealogy of these bands is fascinating.

>>42085539Any suggestions on what to read about this?
>>42085083all metal is like thatnot necessarily satanic but ritualistic, very leaned to make impressions and not caringI'm listening to japanese visual kei and they like to crossdress all the time with the gothic aesthetic
>>42085580I think you're being naive. Rammstein uses very heavy occult symbolism and references in their aesthetics, themes, and lyrics. It's hard to believe it's just for show.
>>>/tv/ you braindead boomer mind.
>>42085640more like the people who would sing a song saying I hate you while burning a woman alive don't have the instinct to self censor themselvesbut who knows. I don't really expect much from modern Germany
