That wasn't stopping the Salamander Apothecary from trying to administer aid to her now while they were speeding down the road, with most of her attempts to spray medical foam into the Chogorian's wounds being battered off while being sworn at.>Inside the Rhino sat a handful of other Astartes, mostly Imperial Fists and Blood Angels. The IXth was glad to see some of his "daughters", but something was noticeable wrong with them. They sat silent, with heads pointed down, and with small, sharp twitches as if they were trying to fight off some form of possession.>The Rhino rolled into the outer sanctum of the throne room, before stopping. A line of Golden Warriors stood, in their path, Guardian spears lowered and aiming at them.

He had only met her on one occasion before, and she had been stoic and unreadable, but this single glance down conveyed a feeling that the Consort couldn't place. Not until he entered the throne room. Pain.>The Empress was sat on the Golden Throne. Her body bloody, broken and in dire condition. Every form of medical and technological expert left in the palace was huddled around her and the throne. Doing everything to keep her alive.>At the base of the Throne was Regina. Her stoic heart of stone shattered, her head in her hands, and tears poured down her face. She had interred her mother on the throne. Shattered her legion in defence of Terra. And minutes earlier, the fate of her beloved had reached her.

As she took one out and placed the recovered organ into the vial, the consort realised that he was standing over the broken body of a Sanguinary Guard.>He looked around and realised that a good third of the bodies lying motionless were wearing red and gold armour, with bloody tear drops on their pauldrons.>This refocused his attention and he looked around.

Every time an Alpha Legionary is pretending to be Alpharia, they are seen with their own consorts so there are lots of conflicting descriptions for Alpharias consort.The truth is that both Alpharia and Omega keep their consorts secret from everyone else, and their consorts are the only ones who can pick them out from their daughters.

I've got an idea for how reproduction works for the Adepta Astartas in 63k that has the potential to please most parties. Gene-seed isn't a thing in my genderbent 30k headcanon, the femarchs/matriarchs are -literally- giving birth to their warriors, who gestate grow at the same rate as normal humans. This gives the consorts an essential function as the progenitor of more Astartas. The more motherly astartes (Aurelia, Vesuvia, Sanguina) likely had close to a dozen children or more (even as demigoddess generals, 250 years is a long time when aging out of childbearing is not a factor) while the less matronly would have fewer (Konnie, Furiosa, Petra, Griselda). The mostly female offspring of the femarchs are able to bear their own transhuman offspring with the aid of a male consort, and thus are the Astartas legions filled at an even slower pace than in canon.While there are rare male Astartas (eight of them in the first generation which consisted of upwards of eighty children of the Femarchs) that have numerous advantages over their sisters, they are unable to reproduce with mortals and cannot further the lineage of their genemothers.Notable Astartas of the First Generation: >Nemia: Honored and decorated daughter of El'Leanor who was infamously killed by her own mother during a heated argument. >Fabia: Apothecaria savant and eldest daughter of Griselda>Sigismonda: Champion of the Empress. The only Consort she ever took was one who scandalously bore a striking resemblance to her cousin Kharn.
