There won't be any peace. Even if the Iranian central government wants it, at this point there is no chance that there are factions that are grabbing whatever power they can, and who will not let go of it unless they get a seat at the table.

I would assume that there are schisms in the military. When these countries fall, often the people who are best positioned to take power are the ones who are given the reins, if they are willing to play ball and if they are at least somewhat trusted.

So you probably have a good 4 or 5 people minimum who are eyeing the throne, and who control enough chips to conceivably and realistically take it.and hold it.

That is, unless this is the plan. It could be a balkanization they are letting take place and ushering along in the power structures within the country. If the US-Israeli alliance can destroy the sophisticated weapons systems and capture the enriched uranium, they will not give a single fuck about what happens in Iran at that point. As long as they aren't a centralized power.

I could see a self interested person or faction in the right position using the uranium as a bargaining chip, and essentially handing it over as long as they are free to do what they wish in their corner of the country.

You have to remember this. Israel does not benefit from an organized and stable iranian state under any conditions. The ideal situation for them is the Libya/Iraq/Syria treatment where disparate warlords constantly in conflict with eachother keep the country in a near permanently destabilized state.

going to win mother's day this year. my brother has no chance. yes it is a competition. i always write her a card, something my brother doesn't even bother with and couldn't manage if he tried, he's one of those people that finds it hard to speak from the heart. not me. but this year i'll be getting her a real gift too and i'm excited to do so.
