The pic watch is taken from the collection of a long-gone avatarfag named ReversoAnon. OG Bittercel fucking HATED this guy and would hound him whenever he posted.
Bittercel tried to rename ReversoAnon "Reversocel" which is how Bittercel ended up getting his name.
OG Bittercel is pretty creative with his images, as you can tell from the OP.
However, Bittercel was so upset with his name, he's been spamming it in an effort to make it a common term, like BitterAnon is now.

I'm unironically buying this to put on a lanyard on my lime green DS. I wish they would introduce more colors like a yellow one and a red one, not just pink but I might pick up one with the pink holder. Also sell them without the strap so they would be cheaper. The only downside is that it doesn't show the current time while using the stopwatch but at least it shows it during the timer. Finally it should have been 20 bar just for fun.

I really hope they continue this product and sell the holders individually.

Hesalite can be polished with Polywatch extremely easily. The dome crystal makes a huge difference in the looks of the watch and most would say it's "more desirable" than the Sapphire. That said if you want an exhibition caseback you must go sapphire (and spend an extra $1000).

A 7" wrist is sufficient to avoid any lug overhang. The Luminor design is meant to be oversized, but has short lugs so normal wrists can wear it.

I find that watch fit can be indicative of how beat-up a watch gets. Scratches occur more often at the lugs than on the face.
If you wear a watch that fits your wrist, bumps will hit your wrist before they hit the watch. A watch with lug overhang will impact first.
(Of course, being careful and aware of your surroundings is still a big factor)
>>
>>18099965

Cost about $120 for all the parts, I did buy some tools and extra dial / hands / strap which added to the price.
It is good value since the case finish is decent, has sapphire crystal etc. A lot of mid tier watch companies just buy this shit and slap on their logo and charge $500+.
Overall it was not too hard I think anyone could manage to do this if you are not a complete npc.
You just need to buy a few extra hands and dials because I've seen that some people fucked those up and scratched them on their first try.
I'm loving the 36mm size because I am a skinny wristlet
>>
>>18100257
Seriously though, where does one go from here? This pics feel is that of someone who's at his peak and has achieved anything he wants from life.
Would a more expensive watch be...."better" at this point? This feels genuine and with a lot of soul.
It's like... he didn't find the watch, the watch and him found each other to create this moment of bliss and appreciation of life itself.

I would recommend you guys get into watch modding if you like watches.
You can build $1000 watches yourself for like $200 or $300 and you can choose whatever features you want.
I only watched a few videos of watch modding, I am personally not that into watches, before this I just had a couple of g shocks and that old seiko pilot style snk 809 or whatever watch which used to be $50.
I used to make my own jewelry as well which I learned on YouTube

Tissot, citizen, seiko owners are people that nooootice other people wearing the same brand and can be enthusiasts that just like the designs. Those other brands you mentioned are literally who and usually don't have original designs. Sure, value for money they are the best but if you want absolute best vfm get a Chinese shitter for 300 dollars and it will likely mog anything else up to a thousand.
>>
>>18100294
Oh also not to mention Tissot, citizen, and seiko all are basically in house or in brand manufacture and don't have generic movements which gives the big bonus points for being interesting

I wouldn't pay $1000 for a Tissot either only because plastic movement, i could pay $700 if they made a quartz sideral because it's fun and unique.
As for citizen, i don't like the brand, tacky as well.

He's right. The only actual watch that can still in modern times be used as a tool, is the g-shock. From climbing to diving to being an accurate chronometer and alarm clock etc. The other watches are jewelry. The g shock is a tool.
It can even tell the altitude and is a world timer too. You can program it to do what you want it to do.

How expensive does an exit game-watch have to be in order the be considered one? Or is it all subjective/it all depends on who's buying it?
If your usual budget is, say, $300, would that make a $10000 watch be an exit game-watch? What if your last watch purchase was around 7K-8K? Would 25K be "enough" to be considered that [end/game-watch] or am I just completely over thinking it?

If your exit-game watch isn't a Citizen Eco-Drive HAQ you're doing something wrong and need to reconsider your choices.
>>
>>18101197
Exit game-watch is a psychological term which is closely related to the money that you've spend acquiring said watch. Even though the watch you mentioned is arguably the best analog quartz watch on the market, it simply is way too cheap (or not expensive) to awake, create and keep it that fulfilment alive inside you once you purchase your supposed final watch. It's not a
>*looks at wrist and is constantly reminded of that he made it*-watch
because a 2000$ watch, no matter how amazing, isn't enough money. The psychological factor is missing. You're being too objective here and that's not what watches are about.

I bought this Seiko.
It looks so good IRL.
Crazy good dial for 250.

I know. I wrote that for myself to let my thoughts manifest into digital writing.
Maybe I can come closer to the truth that way. Nice synced hands btw.

Glad you like it anon! Now go and find a good strap for it, gray, black or blue leather would fit nicely.

Honestly not entirely put off by the stock NATO it comes with. Some people complained about it but I don't think it's any different than any of my other NATOs.

I agree a leather might look good though. I might have some even laying around in the correct lug width or thereabouts even.

Congrats Fren! It's a hell of a watch, and hasn't yet let me down. The anti-reflection on the crystal is particularly amazing....

Citizen Chads...
We keep on winning!

When I'm close to retirement I'm probably going to unload most of my watches that have no serious monetary or sentimental value(for manybof them thst will probably entail literally giving them away to family and friends because they wouldn't be worth the effort of trying to sell) and buying a used yellow gold daydate to coast through the rest of life with.

Absolutely. Now the new 0100-Chad just needs to post more pics!

Serious question; any reason not to do that now? You could get a used one minus the bracelet from the 60s/70s for around 15k...it's not that much for an 'exit' watch, and if you love the aesthetic and size and want to wear it everyday, then you win. I've always been partial to the ones with the step dial from the late 60s early 70s...they're small for me, but the design is undeniably perfect. Admittedly though, for low prices you might have to settle with a day wheel in a non-english language.

It's just too much money for me to commit to putting in a watch right now, and I frankly don't deserve it yet because of that. Stuff is up in the air at work right now to a degree where I don't know anymore if the place I'm currently working is the place I'll be working when I retire or even in 3 years, I'm going to need a need a car soon, the new house still needs a lot of work, my fiance and I still have to arrange our wedding... There are just too many plates spinning at once right now, plus I want to make sure that I stay above a years worth of emergency expenses while I knocks all of this shit down. Once most of that is sorted out I can think about it more.
>but $20k isn't that much for a fuckoff watch though
Maybe not, but I'm not in the right headspace to really settle down and enjoy it yet. They'll still have daydates in a few years when I'm ready.

That's fair Anon, all important points. I didn't mean for my comment to sound flippant; weddings are stressful, for sure, and not having a house 'in order' is extremely stressful. One thing at a time, and I wish you the best of luck with it all. Just remember the golden rule about marriage; it's a marathon, not a sprint. The Day-Date will be waiting for you for when the time is right; I think you are actually 'ready' for it; it's not about whether you deserve it or anything like that, it's simply about how much time you would like to live with it and whether it is a luxury or a burden.

Good luck!
