Count calories, all of them.
Eat about 500-1000 less calories than your TDEE.
Buy scales, be accurate.
Learn to cook. Try to stick to lean protein and green vegetables.
Eat a lot of protein. 0.72g per lb of goal lean body mass.
Doing cardio, even just walking, will improve your health. There is no such thing as a healthy fat heart, but you can offset the risks.
Lifting weights will keep and gain muscle mass and burn fat much quicker. No lifting results in the body burning away muscle AND fat.
Drink more water.

Wife and I have been committing hard to getting super fit in time for summer. Lot easier when you're doing it with someone else. I'm 187lb 5'8" with some muscle mass but still like 25% bf probably. I did some excel autism and planned out a whole meal plan for every day. Lifting/cardio 3 times/week and doing Pilates with her on the off days. Breakfast is a hard boiled egg and some protein Greek yogurt with a tiny bit of granola for fiber/texture. Mandarin orange and another hard boiled egg for lunch/snack. Dinner I marinated/froze like 20 pounds of chicken from Costco, then grill a weeks worth each Sunday and prep dinners- the chicken, roasted Brussels sprouts, roasted broccoli, some brown rice, kidney beans, and some stir fried greens. Actually very good and doesn't make me want to kill myself. Total for the day is just about 1300 cal if you include a protein shake and popcorn as a snack (bought an air popper, we love popcorn). My question is how do I get more protein to reach the 0.7g/lb bw, right now it's only like 70g but the goal is like 120g based on a 165-170 goal weight. I don't want to add a significant amount of calories so I'll have to replace something but it seems so sparse already. Or am I fine?

I have nothing to confess. I'm down 50lbs and 7 BMI in 4 months since New Years. Been losing a steady 2.5lbs per week just counting calories and eating a ton of vegetables.

6'3" 311lbs, down from 334lbs in 5 weeks doing Keto+IMF+GOWAD with plenty of slip-ups. Generally been aiming for around 2200kcal with at least 180g protein.

Been having issues with the lack of fiber, and don't want to chug psyllium husk just to take a proper shit.

Now hear me out, I get that this will not work long term, but I've come up with a plan to hit my protein and fiber with 400 kcal to spare(for vitamins, minerals, and more fats of course):

(8x) @ $2.50/ea Sardines in olive oil 200kcal 22g protein
(3x) @ $5.00/ea 6oz Organic Blackberries 73kcal 16g carbs 2g protein 9g fiber net carbs 7g

This ends up being 1,819kcal with 182g of protein, 21g net carbs, and 27g of fiber at the cost of $35 per day, with an extra 400 kcal for greens and foods that are high in selenium to offset the mercury poisoning.

This would cost me $1050 a month with some extra for a few bottles of mustard and worcestershire sauce, maybe less if I can find a proper wholesaler for the deenz and berries.
Is my plan as solid as my shits will be?

A few month ago I tried putting on some trousers and it was useless. There was a few inch gap between my belly and the flies of my trousers

Just had a serving of pic related and oh boy what a treat! Not only did it fit into my calorie budget for today, but it only came out to 100 calories for 80 grams. I was also feeling a little down, but as soon as I had a bite of this low carb neopolitan ice cream, it brightened my day! Nice, I can’t mess with that carb free stuff myself. I used those low carb tortillas for a while but the grocery list of ingredients started to bother me. I recently discovered lavash bread and it’s shockingly low cal/high fiber, problem is some brands split like a bitch. Flour tortilla is the ideal thinness/pliability for a wrap.

Sorry I mean like, my minimum should be 1,200, but I find it hard to reach that number if I'm eating what I usually eat, like I either need to make meals with more calories or eat out. Since I've started losing weight last year, I think I've generally averaged around 600-1000 calories. Re-counted my calories and macros after some adjustments and I'm pretty much spot on at 1500kcal but fat intake is slightly too low so will have to switch something around to fit few grams more.

Started working out about 6 weeks ago. In the past week I went to get a blood test done and the doc whom I haven't seen in half a year told me that I lost a lot of weight. Asked me what kind of exercises I do and asked me what my weight was when the last time he has seen me. Told him it was 105 kilograms. Asked me what my current weight is, but I couldn't answer because my scale decided to unalive so he asked me what my height is. Told him and he told me he thinks I'm around 90 kilograms. I don't think I lost 15 kilograms in the last 6 weeks (I exercise at least an hour per day, 6 days a week, if I also jog on top of lifting, it's closer to two hours).
Anyways, sorry for the blogpost. What I'm also adding to this is that I'm really happy rn because I could do 5 pushups and I know it sounds cringe af but I couldn't do a proper pushup before.

You just gave me good memories of when I was a little kid, and my mom would say if I was hungry I should just eat an apple, but I hated apples because for some reason they always made me feel so much hungrier than before I’d eaten them. When I got older and had Internet access and it became relevant again, I looked it up, and apparently that can happen because your insulin is getting a good beaten switch. You produce more insulin than you actually need so your body is telling you I’m still really hungry. I imagine that having all the small snacks throughout the day is just doing the same thing, beating your insulin and telling your body that you’re still very hungry, as opposed to giving it nothing to break down.

I had this experience before as well i think its a lack of protein daily/during a meal. When I binge, I think I'm unconsciously searching for something that will make me full (that usually contains protein). I would keep trying food that is easily accessible/prepared/hyper palatable and end up being filled with that and their carbs until I'm satisfied (which will naturally take longer). For me, catching myself "in the act" and thinking this has prevented this for a month and some weeks now. Obviously, this is still just a hypothesis.

bros, i need help with a weird issue
so i decided to stop eating out so much and start cooking my own meals...issue is, now im not eating enough calories

Feral cats are unique, if one intact one (especially female) comes on your property the scent will attract others. Males will wander miles in a day. It honestly depends man. I’ve seen both sides to it. It’s all about what my mindset is like. How starved (of success/the goals) how desperate I am how angry I am how much I truly want it. I have been a habitual long term faster (5 day complete fasts on snake juice), and I think it gave me metabolic damage. Can't say this on /fast/ because they're religious about the whole thing.

I started with a 5 day fast every 6 months, and I noticed the results got less and less each time. After a couple of years I got tested and I had a very low metabolism. I'm not sure, but I'm almost positive it's the fasting.

Each time I have done CICO the muscle stayed and the fat loss seemed to stay as well. That may be an illusion because we're talking about long time frames here, and maybe CICO is less of a jolt when returning to normality so it just feels better... but I seem to keep my gains on CICO.

For muscle gain I have tried the raw egg diet and it definitely was the best gains I've had in my life, but also got some good fat on me too.

My anecdotal experience, but just eating normally and clean seems to be the best fit for me.

Not really. When you have a full colony of 6+ cats they typically hang out in the same area. The males wander more but they have access to easy pussy (heh) so they’re not far. You just set up auto traps with smelly cat food inside and wait, get as many as you can in one go. Cover them with a towel so they chill, the traps are designed so you can squeeze a spicy cat to one corner so the vet can give them a shot through the cage.
