Tell ya what, here's what I'd do:
>install some browser addon that shows your public IP on your screen
>change your public IP such as by resetting a router whose public IP is not static (a service that costs a little per month)
>either install a new browser, use a VM, or wipe cookies

This is actually an effective measure to evade fingerprinting, only screen and OS and even hardware get capped out to Cl*udflare after a bit.

Reposting this because I'm a fag and didn't see the new thread. I have two tone Glock 19 with the 'FDE' poop brown frame and a black slide. Considering having the slide and barrel nitrided a darker grey to make something like this 43. Is there any stock gun that has a two-tone like this? Feel like I've seen it on a Beretta or an FN before.
>>61992328
Yes.
>>
>>61992328
Yes, but with the caveat that any gun that comes in a different color should also be available in black. Looking at you, M9A4
>>
>>61992328

Beretta m9a3 fde is two tone (opposite of your pic, slide is tan and frame is lighter)
>>
>>61992348
This could actually look cool if it was a darker grey. There's no pistols that I can think of that fit that finish description - maybe one of the PX4 guys on here has both and can slide swap for you.
>>
>>61992348
M9A3 FDE was like that, the frame would be sand colored (a light gray) with the FDE slide
>>
>>61992437
This guy? Either way this looks pretty slick.
>>
>>61992469
Yes. Actually you were right on both counts, the FNX is two tone too
>>
>>61992405
Just saw this, thanks guys this is exactly what I'm after. Always wondered why this color combo seems so uncommon. I like the idea behind FDE stuff breaking up the threatening black profile for rifles but I never see this carried over to handguns. I'm also not a huge fan of full FDE.
>>
>>61992348
>>61992483
Not a handgun but this is pretty common on a lot of European rifles. HK, B&T, Haenel, etc. You can also look to a lot of aftermarket Glock slides as they utilized a similar finish, I think it's probably just not as attractive to the American consumer market who end up just spray painting their shit anyways.

The reason I said the stock s2c safety is good if you want to carry hammer down (preferably halfcock) is because it's so low profile and stiff you won't accidently put it on. And the safety can be engaged at halfcock on shadows but you can damage the gun if you pull the trigger like this

>>

>>
>>61993630
I'm the guy who originally said 2 MOA. There's always a case to be made for 6 because the larger dot is easier to acquire for some and doesn't make a huge difference in accuracy at pistol ranges. You'd have to be pushing out pretty far for it to make a significant difference. That said, I don't have issues picking up my 2 MOA dots. It comes down to personal preference, idk why the dude thinks it's trolling to recommend 2.
>>
>>61993630
Bigger is better.
>>
>>61993657

it's 2024 and the gun industry has failed to produce a p365/p11-like 1.5 stack micro-compact DA/SA (decocker only) or striker-fired metal framed pistol in 9mm. The closest thing we have is the 80X Cheetah, it's in 380, has a manual safety, and is 1.4" wide according to handgun hero. There's Khar as well but it's DAO and single stack. Also everything's ugly now. Why, because of stupid things like optics cuts, rails, front slide serrations, "READ THE MANUAL", and 'flush fit' mags that aren't really flush, and logos. You've successfully min-maxed your way to shit aesthetics.

What ammo were glock 17 and M9 designed to fire? BTW is Federal Ammo good? What's the closest 9mm true to milspec load you can buy nowadays?
>>
>>61994694
Didn’t you already ask this?

Don’t you have the ability to look at the U.S./NATO load for 9mm and deduce that the only 9mm ammo the US had was probably the 9mm ammo they shot out of the M9? Sorry for being rude but with guns there are a lot of specific things you need to figure out yourself and you can rely on someone spoon feeding you the answer, eventually you’ll lose a part of something breaks, you must be able to figure out what part to buy yourself

Same question from last thread, I'm still soliciting opinions.
G26 vs modern micro nines - does anyone actually carry the G26?
I feel like it would be good to have some commonality with my G17, but are the micros really so much better?
>>
Used glock 43 with 2 mags for $300, private purchase FTF so no tax, should I cop?
>>
>>61994780
It still has a serial number right?
Or was it scratched off?
>>
>>61992328
Only if the gun it's on is famous for having it, i.e. M17, M45A1, M9A3
>>
>>61994734
It's definitely a preference thing. If you keep grip lengths the same you will find the G26 to shoot better, mostly lower recoil, but trigger reach will also be longer if you've got bigger hands. This is because it's thicker and heavier. The G26 will be less comfortable to carry for the same reasons. If you use a quality holster with offset clips instead of non offset clips you won't conceal it noticeably worse unless you wear clingy clothing. It's really a question of whether you want to maximize comfort or shootability.

For field stripping, all you're doing is turning a bushing and pulling out a recoil spring plug. And then for full disassembly, you're just using a punch to push out a few pins. I don't see how that's annoying
>>
>>61995365
As a new 1911 haver, I find the basic field stripping very simple. Honestly I have no idea how you can even make the "idiot" mark, it should be called the "completely retarded gorilla monkey" mark
>>
>>61995132
Very pleasant to shoot if steel frame, about average if not on the better side if aluminum, there is some difficulty getting 1911s in 9mm to work due to the cartridge being so much shorter and smaller than .45 ACP. With a 9mm 1911 you usually can swap between .38 super and 9mm by swapping barrels and magazines.

Or you could do the method where you just pull back the slide and push out the slide stop first. And you cover the recoil spring with your hand as you pull off the slide. No need to worry about the plug flying off somewhere. That's the recommended way for 1911s like Les Baer and Wilson where they make the barrel-bushing fit super tight.

Punishing people for exceeding goals is communist crabs in a bucket shit.
>>
>>61995580
It's not a punishment dipshit. He failed to follow the instructions of the test, instead using it as an opportunity to intentionally and ostentatiously flex his skill. If he wanted to prove how good a shot he was, he could have just shot an incredibly tight group at each range prescribed by the course of fire. He'd have been able to exceed the requirement, while complying with the instructions, and would have passed. A CCW course is designed to demonstrate more than your ability to shoot. It is designed to test your ability to commit, follow through, absorb information, and follow relatively simple requirements. That guy failed.

When I did mine, I wanted to shoot it with my black powder revolver, but the course of fire called for 7 rounds making that impractical. So I shot it with my normal pistol to pass, then had a nice conversation with the instructor and we both shot the black powder revolver and it was a nice time all around.

Some guy using a certification class to be an aggressive, contrarianism showoff pretty clearly paints him as th kind of person who is maybe not appropriate for CCW. The sort of person who will escalate to pulling a gun because he's desperate for any opportunity to show how much of a bad ass he is. Just shoot a smaller group at the prescribed ranges faggot.

I think it's totally unreasonable to fail the guy because he did something faster and farther than he was instructed. The way anon frames it there were no rules broken, I doubt the instructor said "Do not shoot beyond X yards, do not shoot more than 1 round per second." If the instructor laid down rules and the guy ignored the rules that's one thing, but the instructor let the guy move the target out without saying anything and didn't stop him while blasting. Then failed him afterwards. It's such a petty bitch move, as or more petty than smugly overcompeting in a CCW class full of freshguns.

But we're both reacting to a secondhand story with incomplete detail.

He, an American hero, protested the gay arbitrary CCW course clearly taught by someone less qualified than he was. He sat there, imprisoned by government bureaucracy to exercise his right to bear arms (something recognized by more than half of the country to be a natural born right, permit less carry is the majority now). He was given a standard, he exceeded it in American excellency, shooting double the distance and faster than anyone else.

Here. You a faggot ass loyalist, self disarmed yourself with a black powder revolver, disparage his heroic action. “Oh if he kept his head down and did what he was told he would have passed”, should the founding fathers have kept their heads down and did what they were told by the crown? What about the men and Lexington and Concord? Should have they let down their weapons and surrendered their arms?

>>61995730
>I think it's totally unreasonable to fail the guy because he did something faster and farther than he was instructed.
Sure, but there's obviously more to it than that. I don't think the speed had anything to do with it. The instructor was probably a cringe annoying fat retard like every CCW instructor I've ever met. The point here is that, qualifying for the permit, based on this story required shooting targets at three different ranges. That's probably how the requirements are hard written into the thing. Some dude just magdumping at one range, even if it's an effective demonstration of shooting ability, doesn't meet the requirements as written. He should probably have been allowed to shoot again. If anything, call it a warmup and shoot it again properly. Trying to show off then not even getting all hits in the zone is pretty gay. CCW instructors agree to follow specific instructions as well, and they don't get a ton of flexibility in this if they want to maintain their dumb authority. It's just like the defensive driving classes you have to take to avoid getting points on your drivers license, they don't care that you can answer the quiz, you still have to watch the video because that's how the requirement is written.

Better if you just send him your own and pick out what you like. Valued my PX4 at $440 worth of work. You don't need red dot, brake, stippling, bull barrel and other none sense.
>>
>>61996766
Pretty sure you could get a CC2, put a LTT trigger bar and flat faced trigger on it, get it optic cut, send the slide, barrel and cam for DLC coating and get the optic for less than this price. The magwell and baseplates are goofy so nevermind that. The light and comp are meh, the comp does work but it will increase the loudness of the gun which you might not want for a carry.

>>Let's get that sucker under the microscope and see

Time after time (like +90%) it's when the officer is putting the pistol back in the holster.
So who/what is to blame?
One thing is for sure, there has not been one lab documented case of the pistol going off on its own. Not one. Or even more.
The problem is the operator not the tool.
>>
>>61997016
Why does this tool go off so much more than any other firearm?

Lab testing is lab testing, they can only test what they can think of, they do not test every since possible scenario
>>
>>61996243
What is going on with these holsters? Someone should get them fixed.
>>
>>61997016
>>61997027
There is a whole cottage industry built up around nothing more than trying to take other firearm manufacturers down. That industry also has their own labs and even they have yet to recreate a scenario where the fault is from the firearm and not the user.
>>
>>61997044
This cottage industry is also very incompetent and I doubt have any technical expertise in their “labs”

So much work ethic and modelo in something so small and undocumented. Drywall and farm labor. Body work and roofing. Slammed silverados and mariachi music. All in the same beaner.

I had a really nice young latino guy in my class as the only other person in attendance for my CCW test/class in Florida. The kid was obviously new to shooting. I think the old fat boomer wanted him to fail, so our test was hitting one of those tiny paper plates like 6"x6" at 7 yards with 3/5 shots from the instructors pistol. We both passed but it seemed a bit overkill as far as competency test are concerned. The kid almost failed but he would have put all his shots decently center on a regular sized target and for sure on an actual persons torso.

Pic of a random 10 shot 7 yard group I took awhile ago to show I'm not just bitching because I'm a bad shot.

Finally caved and bought some volquartsen parts. Maybe I'll like this thing more than my 89 now. I feel bad only ever taking out the 89 because I know eventually I'll kill the barrel on it.

While not likely, I can't get a new one for the 89. If I just shoot lead tips through it I'm sure it will be fine though.

It's probably NDs 95%+ of the time. But there are unquestionably units self-firing, it's on video, and nobody seems to be very interested in finding out how or why. Which I find very peculiar.

>>61997174
It's possible they did, who can say really. But the burning of the laser blackens the slide. Logos are not the same color as the rest of the slide. That slide was was painted, whether the word stainless is on it or not

Retards will say you deny the ND issue, let this be on record. I'm also super curious. I've seen issues like this at scale. Literally nobody except some unfortunate retard has an app that decides to crash. You can't reproduce it or figure out why it would happen, it shouldn't be happening.

>>61997286
That's reassuring, thanks anon. I love this lil nigga. I've been meaning to upgrade my guns for a while and the MKIV has been in that list, so even if it's not saving the 89 at least it will be more fun to take out.

Literally me every day

We've had this conversation. I hate lazy programmers that pass the buck or just lock out features or accessibility because they can't or won't program for shit. I just had another one of these stupid niggling issues this week; Whatsapp in the browser stopped working, but only in Chrome. Works in FF. I tried changing user agents, tried private, tried deleting cookies, reset my IP. Then for no reason a week later it works again. I changed NOTHING, I haven't even restarted (only plebs shut down). The ghost in the machine just decided to stop having a tantrum. loltechnology

The P320 is different though because it's mechanical not magical (the way coded bits make billions of atom sized switches change paths and that somehow does math is literally incomprehensible magic). There IS a reason P320s are firing in holsters, but not one single department, person, lawyer or corporation has invested a minute to figure out why. Mechanisms are child's play compared to programming or circuitry. It SHOULD be easy to wiggle, wrest and whack a P320 until it goes click. But nope.
>>
>>61997350
It took the FAA years to figure out how the hydraulics of a 737 rudder could suddenly reverse the polarity despite it causing 3 crashes killing hundreds.
>>
>>61997350
Yeah very true. Actually a lot of computer issues are just from random errors that ended up not being corrected. Silicon isn't perfect, especially not memory. Stray radiation can just flip bits and fuck shit up. With billions of computers running constantly, it's bound to happen. Add on top of that the fact that people overclock and it's a done deal. In those states, machine code that doesn't have a failure point just randomly fails.

Anyways, yeah mechanisms are much more simple. It's really fucking weird, and I don't trust sig to be forthcoming about this. I've even spoken to boomers who were happy with the "voluntary recall" bullshit lmao. Where are the patch notes????

>only plebs shut down
Amen. Eventually drivers get me though.

Never forget, Burt, they put a lot of effort into keeping shit out of the press. For every instance you hear about it, there are more that you don't. For every lawsuit we hear the outcome of, there were more that settled out of court and never saw headlines. Ruger at one time was averaging over one lawsuit weekly relating to the Blackhawk without catching bad press, we'd never have known at all were it not for investigative journalists over a decade later.

Only happens when it's an unstable OC. ie not enough voltage.

Re Boeing, I would say they're trying to be in the same league as Sig. It reeks of central banking.
