You can't view the site without https homey. It automagically forwards you.

Back when millenniums were first browsing the web there weren't 150 scam sites per brand or leaked databases or fraud. In fact there were virtually no scams at all, viruses weren't even a widespread thing or were easily avoidable. You just typed in what you want and it was delivered to you earnestly.

Probably call the cops to secure the weapon. I was a cop and got hit by a car so they handed by gun belt off to traffic investigators on scene. Then they cut my uniform off. Later in the day get discharged from trauma center in violent East Coast city and walk to the car with my dad wearing paper scrubs, foam slippers and my gun belt skin over my shoulder. Nobody bats an eye.

>>
>>61984277
I'd treat them? If it was in the way I'd move it off to the side. If it's at your house I see no reason why it couldn't just be left at your house, but ultimately my job as a first responder is fairly limited to getting you stable and doing everything I can to help you last long enough to pass you up to an EMT or doctor. Other stuff is all secondary so long as the situation itself isn't an ongoing danger. Police or fire department usually show up around here as well for emergency calls while/before ambulance is on the way. 1Rs are just the very first line, the idea is we don't have nearly as much training and can't do nearly as much but there are lots of us.
>>61984307
Well, I hope it's not serious and they can get you sorted out. If you have family/friends/neighbors might want to let them know the situation too so you have some emergency plans ahead of time, that'd be pretty ideal and hopefully a stress reliever for you too.

Nice battle buddy btw (who is another reason to make some plans, so he/she can get taken care of if you needed treatment).

It's unremakable. The pistol feels cheap, although some people like it.
>>
>>61986124
Not him but first of all they are largely ineffective at gas redirection, they lose too much pressure from the barrel to comp so it cannot operate like a compensator. They mostly are just unsprung mass on the end of the gun and that’s how they do recoil reduction.
>>
>>61985218
oh shit fenix makes weapon lights? I had no idea.
>>
>>61986184
Thank you, I understand. When I shoot with a suppressor, I'm way more accurate. I assume this is the recoil-mitigation effect of the mass at the end of my barrel, since it doesn'thave any porting or anything like that for gas redurecting (other than blasting it back into my face, which I guess might be something of a compensating effect maybe?). I wonder how well a rail-mounted compensator would compare.
>>
>>61986285
A rail mount “comp” would only be effective if it were made of steel. Which those HKparts “comps” are not. MatchWeight.com makes steel versions, they also don’t pretend they do gas redirection but still are obnoxious to shoot without the extended Match barrel they’re supposed to use
>>
>>61984202
Ive been watching a bunch of ben stoeger videos and it seems that fundamental to having good pistol grip is having good support hand palm contact with the grip
I now realize that due to how freakishly long my fingers are, there is basically no gap for my support hand palm to reach it and my support hand basically sits on top of my fingers and doesnt contact the grip.
I have a CZ with Lok's palm swells.
Am I cooked? Am I doomed to a life of only shooting double stack 45s well?
Any other fellow skinwalkers in here have any other ideas?
Pic related is basically how much my firing hand fingers take up, except on a P01 with lok palmswells and not a micro compact.
>>
>>61986300
>but still are obnoxious to shoot without the extended Match barrel they’re supposed to use

No they aren’t, unless it’s obnoxious to get powder burns on the front of the plastic frame.
>>
>>61986388
Depending on frame fit you’ll have gas escape the gap between the slide and weight redirecting blast towards the sides. If you’re shooting on a cramped firing line with no stalls it’s a real issue
>>
>>61986416
It’s a .45 ACP, there’s not nearly enough pressure to have any affect like that, not like my 4 port breaked .357 mag, that shit will ring your bell if you stand under a roof.

Hi /hg/
I'm planning on shooting my second-ever USPSA match in a few weeks.
I shot my first USPSA match back in December. My only goal was to not get DQ'd for a safety violation, and I achieved that goal. However, I finished second to dead last.

How do I improve my performance?
>dry fire
>range time
Obviously, but what should I work on? How should I structure my training? Talk to me like I'm a /fit/tard. How many sets, how many reps, of what?

I'm shooting Limited with my larp gear (bone stock G17, irons, safariland holster, two-piece battle belt). Obviously I am way, way far off from real hi-performace go-fast territory. Just wanna suck less.
>>
>>61987518
Magtech is good even if it's made in Brazil, it's somewhat powerful and relatively clean.
Maxxtech is literalwho, I've seen it but I avoid, no personal experience.
CCI is excellent quality and cleanliness at a low price, made in America, low power = low recoil.
S&B is very good quality, powerful but a little dirtier with somewhat hard primers, made in Czech Republic.

Other than Maxxtech they're all good but my preference is CCI for the cleanliness and lower recoil.
>>
>>61987557
Buy Ben Stoeger’s book on practical shooting. It’s specific to practical shooting and not tactical shooting. He talks about topics specific to competitive shooting and things you may not be able to guess how to prepare for matches.

Of all gun companies I don't know of a funnier firearms-related lawsuit than Dix v. Beretta. Two children playing with a Beretta 92 Compact L belonging to the father of the "friend," who pulls the loaded mag and replaces it with an empty but doesn't clear the chamber. He accidentally shoots the other kid, Kenzo Dix, through the heart. The claim for the suit? The loaded chamber indicator was too small and hard to see. Found in favor of Beretta, then mistrial, then the court said it was fine and not a mistrial, the defense pushed harder, another trial, on and on just an absolute shit-show. The THIRD trial found in favor of the defendant. The father ended up writing a book, "Who killed Kenzo?" blaming not only Beretta but the negligence of the entire firearms industry for the death of his son. This case is the reason for the California legislation mandating clear loaded-chamber indicators and magazine safeties.

Copy the stage plans of the fast guys. You can just ask them how they’re gonna shoot a stage, and they’ll tell you. Treat doubles like one shot with two trigger pulls, not two distinct shots. Keep your knees bent and stay slightly lower to the ground than what feels normal. Don’t worry about having super crisp reloads, just don’t do any standing reloads. Your bullets go where your eyes go, so keep your eyes dead center of the A zone and always be actively looking at the target, don’t zone out and lose visual focus. Don’t get lazy with your grip. Prep and press is fine for longer shots, but you should try to get a sense of when you can get away with just ripping the trigger, and when you have to prep and press.

Are you missing a lot of points with deltas and mikes, or are you just going slow, or what?

It's due to differences in hardnesses of the bore and the copper brush you use. The brush is hard enough to get rid of deposits but not meaningfully damage the bore.

>>
>>61988818
I wonder how good of a texture that is, you can print PX4 frames these days
>>
>>61988995
43X is a dedicated carry gun, 45 is much more general purpose. I’d go 45 unless you’re certain you need something for CCW.
>>
Anyone have experience with the shadow 2 compact? Is the safety as bad as to hear people say? Was thinking about picking one up for carry but a safety that doesn't have positive detent is something that would bother me
>>
>>61988995
The 45 is easier to carry than the 43 is to enjoy shooting at the range, so absent any other information and limited to those two choices, the 45.
If you just want a Glock for the sake of having a Glock, get a 17.
>>
>>61989007
It feels nice but it's definitely ineffective. Doing it this way looks good and is a little easier to both design and print versus doing it as a legitimate grip texture. Needs to be enlarged very slightly, reversed so they're embossed instead of debossed, and made to protrude a little further than it's currently relieved. Could be workable. Won't pull it off like this with an FDM printer though, and you don't want to print any pistol frame on a resin printer.
>>
>>61988818

>>61988843

>>61988895
Hm I don't have that problem, outside my PSD that jams on anything softer than 9mm NATO. My M9A3 with stock recoil spring works great with it, so's everything else. CCI/Blazer is my go-to 9mm

>>61989023
Is that a separate thing from not having a firing pin block/drop safety?
>>
>>61989038
>wtf how is it so smooth and crisp?
He's probably using a resin printer, which are capable of much finer detail that makes them suitable for, e.g., pirating WH40K models
>>
>>61989023
It is not truly drop safe mechanically without a firing pin block but there is no video evidence of the shadow 2 (unmodified) being not drop safe. There is a ton of videos of people dropping completely stock shadow 2s without issue. Modified ones with reduced power firing pin springs and extended firing pins have killed several people. Do your own research to see if it’s sufficient for you carrying hammer down with the hammer resting on the firing pin.
>>
>>61989051
>pirating WH40K models
Crazy that 3D printers have gotten far enough to be capable of this, pretty cool. I still want to 3D print some various small things for shooting but I cant get solidworks to do what I want. Im sure if I sunk a ton of time into it I could get it done but meh
>>
>>61989038
>wtf how is it so smooth and crisp?
>>61989051
Yup, resin printer. Even the most basic and accessible resin printers now can produce voxels smaller than 25 microns. The quality and fine detail you can get it staggering, but you're very limited in materials. Only so much variety they can manage to UV resins with the right properties to be printed. I desperately want to resin print whole firearms, but an appropriate material just isn't available, even the very expensive shit that's actually strong enough to handle it has other specific limitations, like becoming garbage above 80°F or below 50°F, having virtually zero abrasion resistance, and suffering from significant creep/long-term deformation.

>>61988332
Great points all around, thanks anon.

>Are you missing a lot of points with deltas and mikes, or are you just going slow
Kinda both. I'm trying to be smooth ("smooth is fast") but the result is I'm just slow as shit. I can print reasonably tight groups via slow fire at the range, but under match conditions the wheels fall off when I try to open up the throttle. I definitely have the dreaded basic-bitch low/left tendency. Usually if I can remember to elevate my left elbow a little it drives the gun back towards center. I started shooting pistols Weaver-style and gradually became more isosceles-y over the years, but my left elbow still has a tendency to dip down.
>>
>>61989365
Ben says the slow is smooth and smooth is fast stuff is total horse shit. The skill set of being fast is completely different, you cannot learn to be fast by going slow, you must be going fast to be fast. Or something. He has a video specially about that.
>>
>>61989365
>>61989392
Also do you have a fiber optic front sight or a dot? Try shooting color confirmation, it’s a technique where you shoot as soon as you see the color on the target, or the dot in the window again. Much better rapid fire groups from doing this than just pushing the muzzle down and pulling the trigger again

>i need to find longer s-hooks so i can bend them tight around the shepherd's hook
Bingo, you got it! Otherwise they pinch too small for the bolt. You could use a slightly oversize bolt or something as a mandrel to bend those ones you have maybe, but easier to just use a larger size (with same rod diameter) S-hooks and pinch them closed in a vise.

For 6-8" gongs I use 3/8" bolts with 2 inch S-hooks. I have the smaller 1-3/4" S-hooks too, pic related, and they work but they bend too easily, they'll deform and twist off the shepherd's hook after while.

The thing about subcompacts is, because they are fatter, they are less concealable but much better to shoot unless you have an actual woman hand. I would bet the G26 is more shootable than any micro9 out there. The 3.5 inch barrel also means you will get more reliable performance from all ammo because SAAMI specs are for 4 inch barrels, therefore most bullets are designed for 4 inch barrels, and 3.5 is closer to that than 3.
The drawback is that the G26 is fatter and with anything but the flush mag it starts getting pretty big.

>>
>>61989681
Overall length and rod diameter I guess. Mine are 3/16" diameter though the packages aren't marked so.

I think you can make do with what you have, Use one of those bolts or the foot of the shepherd's hook as a mandrel, whichever is larger diameter. Hold the "mandrel" while you press the hook closed, and once the gap is a bit smaller than the mandrel's diameter pry the S-hook open a smidge so it rotates freely but isn't wide enough to come off. Do that on both sides of each S-hook, that's what I would do rather than schlep down to the 'Depot for another batch of parts

I prefer to carry a full-sized gun, which would prevent me from bending all the way if I was carrying appendix. Shoulder holster or OWB at 5 o'clock are way more comfortable and let me sit however I want.

G26 is still perfectly viable, especially considering it handles far more like a full-size than a micro 9, for not just terribly more thickness. But the thickness difference is indeed enough to make a difference in concealability.

>G47 mentioned
Now that I think about it, the 47 might not be totally pointless if it had lightening cuts in the slide so that it could use the same recoil spring assy as the 19 and 45. CBP's design requirement to be able to mix-and-match 17 and 19 parts at will is still retarded, as are the people who—apparently—like the 19 but would like it more with .5" more slide, but at least it'd be one fewer bean to count.

It was my first Sig but not the last.

Its not an issue about being not having firing pin block which I don't care about since it has been proven safe many times. Its about the safety not really "clicking" on/off. From what I have heard is that its very easy to rub/brush up against the safety and engage/disengage it when not meaning to

>>
>>61990120
Yes it's a good first gun. DA/SA lets you practice dryfire with a heavy trigger. It's also by far the easiest to not fuck up carrying. I'd recommend at least a D-spring and convert to decocker only. When you load it, use the decocker. Once the hammer is reset into DA, hold the gun so that when you push it into the holster, you do so by pushing it in with your thumb. It is mechanically impossible to have the firearm go off doing that. Once it's fully seated in the holster, it's also not possible for it to go off. Definitely train with it though and get comfortable too.

The 92x G version is basically what you want over the 92fs unless you need it for roster purposes. Future upgrades would be a 13lb hammer spring, match hammer and LTT trigger bar.

I think it's a good first gun as in it lends itself for easy dry fire practice since it's double action or hammer cocked (singe action practice). The DA/SA trigger is harder to master than a striker trigger but if you learn a DA/SA trigger you can shoot anything well.

It in it's stock form (safety/decocker) makes it very safe to handle, when not in use just flip the safety on and it'll decock the hammer for you and deactivate the trigger. The exposed hammer makes handling it loaded easier, when handling it put your finger out of the trigger guard and then slip your thumb over the hammer, holding the hammer down means it's physically impossible for the gun to go off. Use this hammer control technique to holster, unholster, or to put the gun away. If you have the safety it's another layer of safety but once you get used to handling it most people go decocker only (removing the safety) so they just rely on the long double action trigger pull and hammer control for safety (this provides more than enough safety).

The decocking function rotates the firing pin transfer plunger out of the way and drops the hammer on the slide, there is no way of it going off. Some people do not trust it and decock manually which is very dangerous, I know a guy who's brother who shot himself in the leg decocking a CZ-75 while drunk.

I may be a little biased since I have 10 of them. A 92 was my first gun too.

>Future upgrades would be a 13lb hammer spring, match hammer and LTT trigger bar.
I didn't notice any improvement going to a 13 from the 16 that the 92X came with, to the point I literally don't know which one's in the gun now, and the Match Hammer still leaves a touch of takeup on the SA pull, which IMO makes it a failure at its one job.
The trigger bar is absolutely a must-have, though.
>>
>>61990183
one of the important things about those springs is that they're chrome silicone and last alot longer than the steel springs.
>>
>>61990183
The WC short reach trigger also helps. It's like a 2mm pull and reset back onto the wall. I could definitely tell between the two if I compared them. You could just squeeze them with your fingers and see. But if it doesn't matter to you then w/e.

>>61990486
No, there is no "best" 1911 since people want all sorts of different options and features from a 1911. IMO best 1911 would be the Wilson Combat Sentinel since it's the only subcompact sized 1911.

For the dollar to 1911 ratio, they are one of the best. A working .45 1911 under 400 bucks and more often then not closer to 300? Yeah. Sub 600 dollar 1911 with front strap checkering? No other brand does that. For the 9mm guns they sell optic cut slides you can drop in.
>>
>>61990510
>yet another ben stoeger vid

>>
>>61990508
Not that much better, 9mm defensive loads are already designed to expand out of a short barrel. Making them go faster might even be worse since they might over expand and under penetrate. Having a rifle stock and long barrel helps considerably in aiming it and having the bullets go where you want them.
>>
>>61990518
sorry, he comes up in my recommendations alot. Is there another short to the point, world champion shooter, putting out content I should be watching?
>>
>>61990519
>9mm defensive loads are already designed to expand out of a short barrel. Making them go faster might even be worse since they might over expand and under penetrate
Why I immediately side eye anyone that recommends them for self defense. Especially to newcomers. They're great for plinking as a newbie but for actual self defense are a pain in the ass for them as they have to find some ammo they probably can't even find that'll work for their gun.
>>
>>61990508
imo, after about 9 inches you've reached peak performance. All the powder is burnt and you've reached maximum acceleration of the pressure wave. the extra barrel after that is not getting you much and may be detrimental with lower power range ammo. the benefit comes from extra points of contact, better more stable optics mounting, and things of nature.
>>
>>61990510
My US-made 92X has the same markings—model, caliber, PATENTED, retract, fires, read; the last three are just all on the dust cover instead of partially on the slide.
It'd be nice if the billboarding on Italian ones were in Italian, but >>61990470 I can't imagine being triggered by the barrel and slide being SN-matched to the frame. On some guns people pay extra for that.
>>
>>61990528
I'd rather not listen to someone who's opinion changes whether or not a gun company gives him preferential treatment but whatever
>>
>>61990519
>>61990543
So the answer is what load you run. I would argue that 9mm parabellum is widely available and has every kind of ammo you could want. You can experiment and pick out the one right for you.
>>
>>61990486
It's the best for the price if you just want a functional 1911 for the sake of having one. They punch way above their weight and would be a bargain at twice the price.
Obviously the BEST 1911 is going to be a $$$$$ one-off custom job with hand-fitted everything and a gold-inlaid game scene on the slide depicting the signing of the WW1 armistice on one side and the signing of the Japanese Instrument of Surrender on the other

They deleted the decocker and DA hook on the trigger bar for the PPQ. Otherwise they are mechanically identical and parts still interchange, they fit and fire with any of each other's parts (other than decocker function or trigger bars not allowing DA). The PDP changed virtually nothing from the PPQ, though I think I heard that P99 barrels won't fit in PDP slides, I don't have a PDP to confirm that. Complete slides will interchange and function on any of the three guns though, other than the P99's decocker not working on the PPQ/PDP. Internally they only made tiny iterative changes pic related, nothing that prevents any parts from working with anything else though as mentioned feature function comes and goes depending on DA/decocker presence.

There IS a different model, it was called the P99Q which has a slightly different internal fire control mechanism that allows decocking without a decocker button. This was revived in the PPQ M3 for police trials in Germany in 2020 but not imported to the US. Those actually may not be able to swap parts, I don't know because they're incredibly rare in the US, but we're not talking about those. There's also the Smith & Wesson SW99 in .45 which is slightly longer for .45 but even that still uses the same FCG cassette and small parts as the 9mm and .40s like the mag release and locking block.

A S&W M&P is a completely different design from a Glock because not a single thing is even slightly the same. However virtually every important part interchanges from P99 through PDP. They're not just the same mechanical mechanisms and operating principles, they LITERALLY use almost the same parts. The PDP still uses a P99 single action lever just cut down (by hand with a grinder lol they didn't even change part production).

Other than looks how exactly are the P99 and PPQ or PPQ and PDP "completely different designs?" If there's something I don't know I want to know it.

Trust me. Get a 357 gp100. Can't beat a 357. Your first gun should have a wheel. Also it might end up being your favorite. If you want something concealable, consider an sp101 357 snubby, or a 38 snubby. Remember, a .357 gun can also shoot .38spl. Also one more reason to prefer a revolver is you simply won't spend as much on ammo. And if the revolver is SA/DA (hammer spur exists), then you can probably shoot more accurately with it than a striker gun like your glock. Well, i guess you're better at whatever you practice though. I'm not saying strikers are bad. Strikers have comfy follow up for spraying.

>you have decided on a semiautomatic and don't want a revolver
Glock works fine, but so do most other polymer striker guns. G19 is a great choice, even if certain faggots here meme on it. Very mod friendly too. I personally prefer single/double actions (they have a hammer you can cock) such as a Beretta m9, any 1911, a 2011, cz shadow, or iwi Jericho. Single action in general is great for making crazy trickshots like sniping a rabbit in the dome at 100m with no red dot. Downside is that da/sa is more fragile and generally requires more maintenance more often. And they're harder to disassemble.

>other options besides the Glock for striker fired beginner friendly guns
MP Shield like anon pic, Walther PDP, any Ruger 9mm (not as good as Ruger revolvers sadly), any HK you can find cheap, and a bunch of others too.

>what i carry these days

It was so good that i got a Chinese Norenco Tokarev 7.62x25 meme gun, but it shoots straight as fuck. And Winchester makes ammo for it, among others. Cheaper than 9mm, though less plentiful in usa.

>meme guns
I say Ignore the Brazil and Turkey shills. If you wanna buy cheap, buy Chinese.
>>
>REEEEEE MY LAWYER WORDS ON THE BARREL
Since your engineering skill is too low to get it off, why don't you buy Chinese? They don't come with gay safety crap till the Americans stamp it on, which they often don't.

I forgot to mention. Unironically buy the gun which feels best in your hand. Yes you can adjust the grips, trigger, and sights easily. But you should buy what you FEEL most comfortable with. The non retards here say you should go shooting with different rented guns first. While i tend to agree, the g19 is a solid choice all around. Some anons consider it basic, but like I said you can mod the shit out of a Glock. And it doesn't have a ghetto rep like Taurus, or a meme rep like Sig. So yeah, solid fucking choice.

That's cool. Remember that it does do recommendations based on IP and geolocation+sensor proximity as well, even if logged out. What do you use to change user agent? I use multiple browsers.

Most based answer. I am a Newpipe enjoyer myself. I can't fathom the idea of paying $70-120 a month for shitty YouTube videos that actually still have ads inside them. Plus yt-dlp works better than premium as some Youtuber i think Rossman explained. Yt-dlp and newpipe actually allow you to download music. Based if you're on a sea voyage or on a motorcycle trek in a desert or in a snowstorm. Jewtube premium cannot do that. So you may lose your music just when you want it the most. In other words as LR put it, the pirate version unironically works better than the paid version. I don't hate the cattle though. The less pirates, the more booty goes to each. At least, that's how it was in the old days. Now, the less pirates, the easier it is to pirate. But the point is a pirate gets it better. A pirate is free. Take all you can, give none back. And share all by the rule of thumb. That be the pirate's code. To make this about guns, i love how smoothbore pirate guns are illegal kek

Go check out a bunch of 9mms and figure out a reason to buy any of them. Do NOT just buy the first thing someone tells you to or you heard about.

I think it's just called User Agent Switcher for Chrome and Firefox, but you can do it manually too by just searching "useragent" under about:config in Firefox and paste in (or edit) a user agent string. You can find lists of strings. Chrome is more complicated so I use a switcher there.

I also use multiple browsers broadly, it's easier than managing user agents on a per-tab basis lol

Checked. That's a cool trick. I know that extension. I should install it, but I don't bother usually because I don't believe it fools browser fingerprinting technology in this day and age. I like spoofing everything. I'll like, use a VM

I love it how the algorithm for that is if you watch certain videos, it automatically flags you as a whitesup, so if you wanna fool the alg you have no choice but to navigate away from them, or come back using some container. And you can tell how much the alg is tracking you by its recommendations, I guess. But remember, they have a way more powerful version of creepJS to use on your browser.

>why fight the alg
Think about it, YouTube controls and rots the minds of idiots here. They think they know guns they've never held because of what some literal shill says. If it knows your political views, it can puppet you. YOU need to control the alg. Not the other way around. Just make sure you understand that. You have to control it, not let it control you. That means that 100% of recommendations need to be good.

In her defense she was Asian and didn't know USA laws. In China, that would be illegal for their version of YouTube. I guess. Idk. She wasn't Chinese. Neither am I. She came from further south than China somewhere. Anyway, I wonder if there are any countries where this is actually illegal. I hear Mexico has anti-modder laws, designed to prevent jailbroken consoles/kindles from being sold and shit.
