>>61968671ah, so it IS a cult
>>61968647I picked up some of the aimsurplus leo surplus Glocks, hoping for some cool markings. Just a lot of holster wear. Am sad.
>>61968671
>>61968671>>61965481>I carry around a photo of Earnest Langdon that I masturbate to in public bathroomsHe wasn’t lying, was he?
>>61968705That wasn’t me. One PX4 is enough.
The sales are hitting, boys, and I am shaking. I am a giant slut for cheap shitty guns, anything under $300 makes me salivate. I can grab a Stoeger STR-9F locally for only $220, a GForce Arms RPX9 Exodus for $275, Beretta APX A1 Carry is at $190 after rebate. I can't do it, bros, another week of sales and I'm going to bust a whole paycheck on Turkshit I just know it.
what the fuck is this weird shit with Langdon
>>61968802I'm just waiting on another rifle upper and maybe a new optic. Not buying anything else this year aside from ammo
>>61968671>train safe and stay hardwdhmbt?>>61968802Stay strong you don't want any of that crap just buy one nicer gun. What do you have currently?
>>61968865Do you think he's creeped out by the fact that he just changes springs in berettas and there are anons that literally want to suck his dick?
>>61968865I was browsing their site a few months ago looking for stuff to fill out an order and I saw they had signed pictures of Ernest Langdon (PBUH). I thought it would be funny. As soon as I ordered it it was removed from the site, so they must have had like 5 of them.If you’re an Beretta appreciator, he’s your guy. He designed the RDO mount, he made the short reset trigger bars, he’s the reason for the resurgence of the PX4 and 92. He got James Reeves to replace his Glock with a PX4
>>61968922idk did he serve? was he a marine or in the navy? gay shit is probably just background radiation from his perspective.>>61968926that's cool, really cool. honestly all this noise about the px4 (in /hg/) has me giving it a more honest look for a ccw.
>>61968802>GForce RPX9 ExodusI had one of those, piece of shit couldn't even keep a steady 120fps in CSGO
>>61968966>all this noise about the px4 (in /hg/) has me giving it a more honest look for a ccw.I got to that point too but they kept shilling it to the point that I hate it again
>>61968966He was in the USMC for a while, trained a lot with the Beretta M9, got out, worked at Beretta USA for quite a while. He went from customer service help desk taking phone calls to being the head of law enforcement sales. He also shot competitively for Team Beretta. He then worked for a few different companies, I heard something in the early 2000s he had a falling out with Beretta and was off the team and he shot Sig P226s instead. He also worked for Wilson Combat as their Beretta advisor. Started his own company, worked with Beretta on some collab guns, he asked them to make a RDO mount for the 92 and they told him it was impossible. He would then self teach solidworks and designed it himself. He also designed the short reset trigger bar. I listened to a podcast he did
>>61969015I like people like this. Nothing can stop them. Love it.
>>61969015the cut he puts into p30s is fuckin' good, too.
>>61969015>He went from customer service help desk taking phone calls to being the head of law enforcement salesI need to find a new job.
>>61968899>What do you have currently?Ruger LCP, EC9s, MkII, MkIII, Kel-tec P-32, P3-AT, P17, CPX-2, CPX-3, Tisas Service Special, AMT Lightning, Diamondback DB380, S&W SD9, Taurus G2C, G3, Hi-Point CF380, FMK 9C1. I've just realized I never replaced my Bersa Thunder or picked up the TPR I was considering, so those are going straight to the top of the list along with the Kahr CW380 and Kel-tec P15.It's a fetish, Burt, don't worry about it.
>>61968865Speaking of Langdon - does he do sales ever?
>>61968693With department marking it's kind of a gamble, the one in OP it's pretty cool, but there are some pretty retarded billboards out there
Bringing it back over to CZC today to have the loose front sight remediated. They were immediately responsive and apologetic, and it should be sorted quickly. Eager to put a few hundred more through this thing.
>>61969043As long as the screws holding the plate to the optic don’t come loose. Common complaint of installed plates on slides is that they don’t use enough thread locker and also use blue loctite which isn’t great. I replace it with vibratite and never have an issue down the line. LTT CS says it’s a PMS issue to me, but to a YouTuber they’ll say “our bad, it’s a problem and we’ll fix it”. They’re not the perfect company but I trust them a lot more than some other small gunshops. Horror stories of gunsmiths holding your slide hostage after you send it in, blatant lies on lead times from being 4 weeks to holding your slide for 6 months. I haven’t heard of LTT ever bungling a cut destroying anyone’s slide. >>61969065You missed their Christmas sale and their 10th anniversary sale. They did complete sales where even the guns are discounted, everything except custom work orders like RDO cuts and other shop time work.
>>61969081>full length dust cover >no railIs that only on the compacts?
>>61969086>As long as the screws holding the plate to the optic don’t come loose.the first 100 rounds had my dot drifting left and right, a LOT. I removed the dot and tightened everything like an ape and things held for the following 400~ rounds. I am liking this idea of going back in there and using vibratite.
Is the Peltor ComTac V worth upgrading to from Howard Leight electronic earmuffs? Are they more comfortable? Do they block loud sounds better? Is the electronic amplification better quality?
>>61969116Yeah, the full size has a rail, different grips, different serrations on the front strap and mainspring housing, larger slide stop and safety.
>>61969138I'll let you know soon, just bought two pair of the single comms lead version of the ComTac V.My Howard Leights earpads had gotten kinda hard and they're definitely not blocking sound as well anymore and I'm always double up with earplugs. For the previous ce of replacing the pads, it didn't seem worth it.
>>61969136ape retightening things is not a good idea. LTT is smart in how they use replaceable T nuts, over torquing these T nuts stretches the nut and screws. Do not over tighten the 3 screws holding the plate to the slide, if you fuck up those 3 holes by snapping a screw or cross threading you have to send the slide back to LTT to fix it. It would be a good idea to get replacement screws and nuts some time so if you ever mess one up you don’t have to wait on replacement parts.https://langdontactical.com/red-dot-optic-rdo-replacement-parts/This is me learning from experience, I never fucked up a slide but I have fucked up these t nuts and screws
>>61969180Forgot, when the nuts and screws stretch they tend to shear off in recoil
>>61969184>>61969180sheeeit thanks for the heads up man.
>>61969086I hope he does a 4th of July sale. Otherwise I'm paying too much for a holster.
>>61969138Yes, it's worth it.
>>61969184Also do not buy the 30mL bottle of vibratite. You do not need that much vibratite, how it’s designed you’re likely to get vibratite on the threads holding the cap on making it impossible to open. Get the 5 mL tube. That’ll last you a long time since you do not need a lot.
>>61969138They're more durable and the sound quality is better. Cheap earmuffs are generally cheap in every quality (except noise reduction, since that part's trivial)>>61969180LTT plates coming loose despite allegedly being torqued and loctited seems like a common enough problem that I'm not going to discourage anyone from giving them a couple extra inch-lbs.
>>61969218I’ve never had a problem once it was vibratited, I use a torque wrench usually but I think on my carry gun I just free handed it.
>>61969218>Cheap earmuffs are generally cheap in every qualityAgreed. My walkers sound like I'm playing a game of telephone using tin cans and piano wire
>>61969218To be honest noise reduction is the only thing I really care about, but it’s good to know you get what you pay for
>>61969075>Retarded Leo markings Had me sold at retarded.
>>61968899One of these days I'll find the source you used.
>>61968979Excuse me sir. Have you heard about the Lord and Savior, the PX4? With a small purchase of a PX4, you can ensure your predetermined place of the 40,000
>>61969184Really? Mine just end up looking like bat wings.
Is it a dumb purchase? Missed out on getting the 941 R
>>61969027Hello fellow lover of Earnest Langdon, I also love Earnest Langdon. I agree, it is amazing how unstoppable Earnest Langdon is, and he has truly inspired me.
>>61968647Ok but is the Glock 26 still relevant for CCing compared to more modern choices ?
>>61969337just get a px4 that's the meta this year.
>>61969329YeahAtlantic has the bottom of the barrel Jerichos with none of the features you'd want. Since they're all surplus from jewland they don't have da/sa guns, just single action. I think you could probably convert one to a da/sa but that's just too much hassle for the price they're hocking them for
>pre-lurking /hg/ I can't see myself owning anything besides a Sig or CZ>post-lurking /hg/I need a Beretta and Steyr asapWho knows what will happen in the future
>>61969445>I need a Beretta and Steyr asapSteyrbros!
>>61969454
>>61969058Oh God. Oh GOD. What are you doing man? STOPThe Marks are nice and the Taurus at least has a good trigger but come on homey do yourself a favor and get something cool!>>61969282There are a gorillion laser engravers, you can just ask any of them to do anything. If they say no there are still a gorillion -1 left to try. It only took 3 tries to get it done, and that was because the original image I was forced to use was not vector it was full colored art and nobody wanted to draw vector lines of a female penis. But it's been a few years and times have changed
>>61968802Get none of them and get an APX A1 compact (tactical)instead.
>>61969466I’ve seen a few engravers I don’t remember the names of that would be happy to do it on Twitter
>>61969454>>61969460> Calling in even more backup
>taking girlfriend to Austria this year >Can visit and your the Glock factory, maybe even buy a T-shirt >No Steyr factory for me to tour Shitsucks, bros
>>61969466>get something cool!Like what? I've owned Glocks, M&Ps, Berettas, Sigs, I've not owned a "good" gun that wasn't unremarkable. My G19 was "fine" the way my M&P9 Shield was "fine," but I was never excited to get either out to the range. Shit like that is just like a Toyota Corolla to me, equal parts practical and uninteresting. I see very pretty Berettas and CZs that hit me like luxury cars, expensive and pretty but no better at getting from A to B than the Corolla, certainly not in my hands. I like 30y/o 200,000+ mile beaters that need constant repair and garner no respect or attention from others, I am gratified by inconvenience. The only cheap gun I've ever found disappointing was all Hi-Points, makes any SCCY or Kel-tec look like it was handcrafted by a Swiss watchmakers. New Hi-Points still have that Raven/Lorcin/Davis/Sundance/Jennings/Bryco/Jimenez/JAI level of "quality." It's disgusting that they're still SO FUCKING BAD when a company like SCCY can afford to sell a <$200 gun with zero MIM parts in it. Hi-Point should stop with their incredibly retarded design and slap their big retarded slides onto a simplified double-action frame like a Diamondback DB9/DB380. They'd cut the part count in half, they'd be safer, cheaper to make, more reliable, and they could retail for $89.95 like they should be doing already.
>>61969466>"I lost a bet."mhm
based
>>61969559They have a factory; is it just not open to the public?
>>61969570Get an Arex
>>61969584I assumed that all Steyr stuff is now in the US
>>61968647I sorta want one of those Detroit Police Department glocks, just because of how ghetto detroit is.
>>61969604They have ongoing contracts with the Bundesheer, so it'd be kinda weird if that were the case.
>>61969570If you can't find a gun to get excited about that just sucks man. $450-700 guns are not luxury guns man, THEY are the Corollas and Civics. The cheapos are like rental scooters.I have my stupid gay niche of weirdo guns that don't cost an arm and a leg, there must be a more satisfying niche for you to discover than good value for money>>61969577You dare impugn my adherence to dubs?https://desuarchive.org/k/thread/34660513/#34660700
>>61969651well i'll be dipped, you DID lose a bet.
https://youtu.be/m_eGWiSMH2g?si=aAdoJl7gLaXqA4pWLooks like the DPP footprint might have more life. This week it has an enclosed option and now a bigger than the SRO (while being lower mount) optic.
>>61969717It also have nightvision brightnesses and also a 3 or 8 MOA
>>61969651>$450-700 guns are not luxury guns man, THEY are the Corollas and Civics. That's what I said, Burt. I liked my G19 about as much as the average leased Corolla driver likes their Corolla. When I was talking about the higher-end shit I was referring to my interest in LTT's 92 Elite, the Staccato XC, or anything made by TTI as I am clearly tasteless. I'll take 40 year old C-10 or a decomm'd CVPI over -any- brand new car on the road today, and I'd still carry my CPX-3 if I had a Staccato at home. I like guns, but I have passion for cheap handguns.>It's a fetish, Burt, don't worry about it.
>>61969741>decomm'd CVPIso get a police surplus Glock 22
>>61969751>Glock 22Ackshewally that's right up my alley, I just don't find most Glocks comfortable in my old crippled hands, otherwise I'd be all over surpglocks.
>>61968724Sure the px4 is a decent gun, but being so comically ugly I can't get past that. Beretta needs to make a compact 92 with upgraded capacity
>>61969762Its not ugly!
>>61969762An attempt at a compact was made, this is 15 with a flush mag.
Do all Shield Plus models come with that Good 2.0 trigger? I'm thinking about springing for the rebate but I have no idea if I can get the Shield Plus with a sweet trigger or if I have to size up to an M&P subcompact.
>>61969778Big caveat is its with a third party plate as the compact 92 mags have pinky grips
>>61969786what the fuck why's he gotta be bread, man.
>>61969778What were the results of this attempt? handgunhero has the 92 compact at 13 round capacity, not good enough.>>61969775It's like if you told a chinese airsoft employee to make a plastic 92 from memory
>>61969786>piclol because people keep stealing it
I want this gun so bad>gorgeous red wooden grip>sexy ass name>classic revolverwhat is there not to love
>>61969801Mec Gar makes 15 rounders for the 92, the end result of the 92/92X is a gun that's basically on the smallest end of fullsize. I turned mine into a Roland Special knockoff since its borderline combat pistol size anyways for the ultimate CC larp. I have to carry it on my abs in an enigma holster to keep it from smacking into my balls.
>>61969801MecGar 92 compacts have been 15 rounders for several years. They even come with brand new 92 compacts. Stop insulting the PX4. It’s what Beretta made when they were tasked with making a better 92. >>61969813Been there done that. Kind of miss it but going extended ported barrel is a less of a hassle than this PMM comp.
>>61969809
>>61969559Take some pictures for the internet. Right now all of the ones on Google maps were posted by a certain James Reeves. I’m going to Vienna next year, and I have half a mind to visit Glock HQ too if I can make it out to Deutsch-Wagram.
>>61969813yep she looks like quite the heifer, it is a standard 92 compact no? I'm aiwb a marginally smaller gun, went for extra length holster which helped me keep it off to the side of the jewels
>>61969875He has a 92X Compact.
>>61969905It's disgusting that the GTS exists and the 92 Subcompact doesn't.
God Pringles suck. Why did I do that.>>61969741Oh sorry I conflated "Berettas and CZs hit me like luxury cars" with the M&Ps and Glocks of the previous sentence. I put them all in the same category>>61969751>>61969756Copsurp P226? Or USP even
>>61969829>tasked with making a better 92>make a worse 92 instead
>>61969955I remember eating pringles as a kid and vomiting, vomit and pringles seem to be linked in my mind.
>>61969955Damn, Burt. How you get your USP to have that nice round indentation at the bottom of your handle?
>>61969801>It's like if you told a chinese airsoft employee to make a plastic 92 from memoryThis is actually spot on
>>61969963I thought I liked them but they're so pasty and chalky ugh>>61969964It's only the right side apparently as I see no evidence of the same thing on the left of affected units, and only ≥2024 production (CE). Mine all predate that, here's a CB P8A1
>>61970008Even the lines around your hump are symmetrical. It's not fair! I FOMOed in 2 (TWO) green USPs with CE date codes. Every time I hold them my body is reminded of the decline in German manufacturing and how the West has McFallen. It takes every ounce of self control to not turn the gun to my face and end my suffering and dissatisfaction in my consoomerist decisions.
The PX4 looks better than any Sig pistol, polymer or steel.
What do you feel is the best looking handgun on raw aesthetics alone. It does not matter how reliable it is or how it shoots
>>61970082This is like in junior high when you develop a huge crush on the only girl who pays attention to you and lose all ability to see she's a 4/10 after thinking about her constantly
>>61970099I love the P210, wish someone made a double stack version
>>61970099The 1911 just looks right. Can’t believe one of the first handguns got it right and to this day is still made.
>>61970081Think about this though, if they should fix the mold for CF date codes, then your rare green frames will be EVEN RARER production flubs collectors will clamor for! Even if they make green frame 9mms again, they will not have that unique flaw.
>>61970099
>>61968647>Surplus handguns editionNeat!
>>61968802>>61969058>>61969741>>61969570based and value pilledlove me affordable guns simple as
$38 Hi-Point progress. Slide is 99% stripped, just needs some brushing, and the barrel is getting stripped and polished. I'm happy enough with the frame, it'll do the job. It's the Lo-Point V2, I changed the trigger guard and rail to make it stronger and easier to print, and cleaned up the bottom of the handle because it was a heinous mess. I also added some comic sans dollar-signs and warning messages. I've got my gold paint, and I'm even going to use primer and clear coat because I'm a man of culture and means. I'm at $57 total spent so far, only $13 left in the budget so I'm going to build an optic from parts I have on hand, should be fun.
>>61970277This is a much needed and satisfying break from px4 general
>>61970277I had an idea, what if you made some sort of thumbhole stock like grip so you can put a M1913 rail on the back so you can put on a pistol brace
>>61970297You’re always welcome to post your own handguns
>>61970297Did you see the grips I designed? >>61963548>>61970303That's already a thing, it's called the LPPDW. Behold.
>>61970277Based dubs, chkd. What caliber you got there bud? As much as I love HP's, I don't know how much I'd trust a squirted frame on a direct blowback pistol that's more than .380. I'd still be concerned even with a .380. That's a lot of mass slamming that frame. This is coming from a guy that trusts his p80 g21 he made for .45 Super. Hi-Point just because it makes /arg/ seethe.
>>61970305I do, quite regularly >>61970314I did, I saved that picture actually
>>61970277Also, I really fucking hope your PSR.
>>61970181R-Really? My short bus USP are special and unique? Yay c:
>>61969075>Georgia State PatrolI used to have a fuckton of 45 GAP brass because of these retards using my local indoor range a lot.
>>61970082Quit being a bandwagoning faggot. Yeah, nusigs like the 320 suck ass, but sig has been making great guns for a long time, you’re just too young to have seen any of them.
>>61970317It's a 380. I trust printed firearms as much as I trust my own knowledge of firearms and mechanical engineering. Retards and faggots print shitty and unproven designs from shitty and inappropriate materials, and they get what they ask for. I've had plenty of 3D printed guns, including ones I've designed myself, and I've never experienced a failure of any kind outside of experimental testing. Meanwhile if you hop on reddit right now I'm sure you'll find someone who has resin printed a Glock frame asking "WHY DOES NOBODY DO THIS?" and people printing old abandoned Ruger P90 designs with 3 walls and 15% infill. This piece of shit I'm calling my CryPoint is a dangerous piece of shit, but not because the frame is 3D printed plastic, I'm much more frightened of the metal parts from Beemiller. >>61970329 Probably not.
>>61970314>those wingnutsKeltec could learn from you.
>>61969955Poor Burt gets no respect. BASED USP DUB DUBS>>61970181Did IWI really use an electric engraver for this? The pits and inconsistency def isn't laser engraving and it looks too sloppy to be CNC, unless it was rushed with a very tiny ball end mill and shitty feed rates and speeds.
>>61970379Dust cover and trigger guard look retarded, like every other metal-frame Sig. Points for having a sane slide instead of the heinous half-height front cocking serrations like the 22X though.
>>61970403>Dust cover and trigger guard look retarde???? Niggy is u retarded? The p232 is sexy as fuck.
>>61970391Based Glong enthusiast. I have no experience squirting frames. I know it's come a long way in the last couple of years. What kind of filament are you using if you don't mind my asking?
>>61970398Respect is earned. The only thing Burt has earned is diabeetus.
>>61970412The trigger guard is bulged out just enough at the front-bottom that it feels unbalanced. Dust cover and front-bottom of the slide have way too many bevels, same as the magazine and the grip
Which way Western man?
>>61970403>p232 is ugly Blind people shouldn’t own guns, it’s dangerous.
>>61970435>tapered dustcoverPeak aesthetic. Why do only some 92s have this?
>>61970428You've clearly never seen his 130lb gf. And no, she does not have a benis.
>>61970416This is MatterHackers Succulent Green Pro Series PLA. It's a 4043D PLA, which is plenty good enough for most printed firearms. I prefer a fiber reinforced Nylon like Polymaker PA6-GF for anything I want to last. PLA is strong as hell, never let anyone tell you different, it's far stronger than many plastics that are much harder to 3D print. With impact modifiers like you find in 4043D, 3D850, or 3D870 PLA it is incredible stuff, fucking perfect for guns in many ways and super easy to print very well. The only major drawback is the very poor temperature resistance. Being a shelf-queen and occasionally hauled to the range, this thing will last forever, but if I leave it in a hot car on a summer day it'd warp to shit and become trash. The Nylon won't do that, but it's also much harder to print well, needs to be annealed properly to get long-term performance out of it, and still suffers from long-term "creep" deformation, like trigger groups in polymer AR lowers slowly pushing their holes further apart.
>>61970457It came about because of the Beretta 96 needing more material in that area because they kept cracking frames. At some point Beretta just made one frame using it both for the 92 and 96 cutting a different pseudo feedramp for the different calibers (it’s not really a feed ramp, bullets aren’t supposed to touch it).
>>61969788I am not looking forward to throwing an x300t on my 92x but it's one of the few options of light + holster available.
>>61970459We know about the FtM pp anon.
>>61970461>You like Huey Lewis and the News?I feel like I just read this as that scene from American Psycho...
>>61970379God sig went from sexy well made steel guns to indian-made ugly polyslop. Thanks cohen
I want a compact size gun that is around $300 but I also want the best quality gun I can get for $300. Which should I get?>PSA Dagger>S&W SD9 2.0>Taurus GX4 Carry>other optionWhat's my best option here?
>>61970435There is another.
>>61970570SD92.0 is not compact, but is a perfectly good gun. The GX4 had a drop-safety recall recently, and is a snappy little bitch, unfun to shoot. The PSA Dagger is a perfectly good gun. If you're choosing between those 3, Dagger.
>>61969466Shame not many do the full image printing. Is it just MST?
>>61970435M&P
Today, I created an NFA trust and ordered three suppressors.
>>61970398It seems to be done by a machine controlled electropencil yeah>>61970435The one without machining marks which also costs less and can be dryfired without extra steps>>61970604MST? these nuts?
>>61970570Is it for home defense, carry, or both? Let me list their qualities to help you decide.SD9 2.0: Highest quality relative to price point of those listed. Good stock trigger (though the GX4's is, surprisingly, actually better imo). Not quite compact though, almost a full sized gun. Still perfectly concealable though with the right holster. Just maybe not during summer months if you mind a little printing.Dagger compact: a cheaper generation 3 glock 19. Not quite as nice as the new SD9, but since it shares almost total compatibility with glock parts, you can use any of glock's cheap-ass mags and their many accessories down the road if you end up wanting to customize it to your needs. Probably your best choice if you're going to tinker with your gun.Gx4 carry: Smallest and most concealable of the three by way of being thin. Takes glock sights, has a metal interior frame so it's more rugged than you might think. Takes glock pattern sights. Actually has a really good trigger for what it is. Will have more recoil than the other two due to having less mass, but the Carry model is pretty shootable regardless, unlike the regular Gx4 which is much smaller. It will be significantly more comfortable to carry concealed than the other two-- have to decide yourself how important is to you.I've owned all three at one point or another; they're all a decent choice at the price in their modern iterations. If you have a more specific purpose in mind, though, people can probably offer some more curated recommendations at the same or similar price.
>>61970814It's for carry. I have other handguns, I just want something cheap that I won't care too much about, but that is still quality enough to trust my life to. I recently went out and bought a G43X as my first carry gun. 1.) Are lights a meme for CCW or are they actually worth it? 2.) Any recommendations? It seems like the only thing people agree on is a Holopoint EPS for an optic.
>>61971165>1.) Are lights a meme for CCW or are they actually worth it?yes and no, it really depends on where you live, when you get off work, you need to do a real threat analysis of your daily life for where you are most likely to use a gun. more likely than not, it's just going to add unnecessary bulk to your firearm, force you to use a larger crappier holster, or abandon concealing your gun. I appendix carry, I don't like the when I attach a WML and use a light bearing holster it digs into my leg more and is uncomfortable compared to without.
>>61971165>Are lights a meme for CCWRead the guide
>>61971165Lights are for identifying people in your house to make sure you’re killing the right person. You already have your gun out, and you’re pointing it at a person, you just want to be sure before you pull the trigger. Why would you be in that kind of situation outside of your home? There’s no need to draw your gun outside unless someone is actively attempting to kill you, in which case, you don’t need to identify them. Just kill them.
>>61971165Unironically you should have gone with a G26.Lights are a meme on carry guns.Replace the shitty plastic sights with a cheap set of iron sights. Do not buy tritium
Do you guys practice with snap caps? Has it helped you? If so, in what ways?
>>61971225It helps a little bit. I like to practice reloads a lot and I always slingshot, I don’t use the slide release (I’m a lefty) so the snap caps are nice for that.
>>61971223What's wrong with tritium?
>>61971225Yes, I dry fire dozens of times everyday.
>>61971263Nothing, he’s just autistic.
>>61971263He’s one of those memers who thinks that if it’s dark enough that you can’t see your sights normally, you can’t even see the target at all. Which is kind of true, but tritium still are useful in mixed lighting scenarios and also finding your gun at night. It’s pointless, just buy the night sights if you want. Don’t if you don’t want to.
>>61971125Imagine getting in the news for wasting some junkies robbing a local liquor store and the reporter makes a special mention of your Damascus Steel Spohr .357 revolver
>>61971278>finding your gun at night Honestly, this is my only use for it. In a self defense scenario, I’m point shooting, not using my sights.
>>61971295Anon that is unironically the kind of shit journalists live for. If you wax some dopeheads with a super special gun of some kind cops will show journalists it going "get a load of this shit" and they will run photos and video of it to show everybody how insane your gamer gun with a charging handle and $900 optic and extended triple port rainbow TI finished barrel and Punisher skull back plate is.This is why you either carry a stock piece of shit or go all the way and try to be a legend.
>>61971305In theory, you’re right and I agree, but I don’t know of any instances in which a guy in a clear self defense situation was convicted because his gun was scary. Short of putting “African Eliminator” on your AR, you’re probably not going to have an issue. Having a cool gun does not show intent.
>>61971317You won't get convicted because your gun is cool, but cops and journos will show it to the world because it's very out there. It's good publicity. You could make use of it. Thinking of trading in my Glock 19 for a S&W M&P 2.0I know a lot of people would see that as a downgrade but I've had the glock for 6 years, put thousands of rounds through it and I just don't like the grip angle or the ergonomics at all. Yes I can get used to it if I train on it enough, but when I take it out of the case after not hitting the range for a while I'm always like "what the fuck is this thing?"I rented an M&P 2.0 and it just felt so much more natural. Every other pistol I own has a steep grip angle which I just prefer. My 1911, Browning Hi Power and Ruger LCP 2. Then there's the glock. It's technically fine, but I just don't like shooting it at all. Am I making a big mistake?
>>61973023The M&P2.0 is way better than a Glock. If I didn't already have a Glock I am pretty invested in, I'd probably get one.
I want to purchase a TX22 handgun. Is the comp worth paying a little extra over the Gen 2 model? Seems like the difference is a longer barrel, chunk of slide missing, and optic mount sits center of the gun. Colin Noir likes (he's so cool, I love based black men).
>>61973023imo the M&P is superior in every way to a Glock
>>61968647https://hkparts.net/compensators-matchweights/hkp-hk-usp-45-cal-compensator/Would this even work? Are slide mounted comps/MB just a meme?
>>61973234
>>61973238>Would this even work?Yes, why wouldn't it?>Are slide mounted comps/MB just a meme?No, why would they be?
>>61973032Way better is an overstatement, the difference is mostly on subjective aspects, like the grip angle, the factory sights are better on the m&p, but the Glock barrels run circles around the M&P's, mags are way cheaper and common for glocks, it all comes down to what's important for you in a handgun, but both are top tier when it comes to defensive/service handguns
>>61973238As a comp, no. As a weight, yes.
>>61973238No, .45 ACP does not generate a lot of pressure. It’ll add weight to the end of the barrel/gun/frame which most of its recoil reducing power comes from. Even +P+ 9mm will not generate enough presssure alone to run one properly, you also need extra unburnt powder to be burnt in the comp to generate extra gas or some shit. Pic related barely does anything, it’s 9mm +P+ Also don’t buy from HKparts. They overprice everything. Their match weights are inferior to matchweight.com versions
idk how to make this post without the system thinking i am spamming, can someone tell me what gun is in the album cover for red hand akimbo by paris texas
>>61973342First glance it doesn’t look like a real revolver, it doesn’t match anything the big 3 would do (Ruger, S&W, Colt). On closer inspection the two roll pins holding the site would be a distinctive feature of whatever it is, Taurus does something similar but they only use one roll pin. Still it may not be a real gun
>>61973023From personal experience, I spent close to 5 years trying to deviate from the Glock 19 as my main carry gun, tried everything, a Walther PPQ (this was before the PDP was released ), the original M&P, FNs (both the FNS and the FNX), 1911s (this was painful, but I learned a lot), SIGs (p226 and a P229 once the summer started) and HKs (first a USP, the a P30, a VP9 and the USP again)... I always ended coming back to the 19, so I would encourage to experiment, but I would not get rid of the Glock, you are going to be looking for it down the line.
