>>27587560just push the button homie
>>27587527Get the airbag assless chaps
What the fuck tires have no sidewalls besides stance nonsense
>>27587561I believe this is correct. Aditionally, the tire tends to do what can be described as "bunching" at speed, and there's a point (especially on race tires) where the max grip starts happening with a sliggt degree of slippage. So even with a hard ass lean at speed you bike may start to drift before you can a chance to scrape a footpeg or slider. As you have seen from my 750, I am not speaking from experience, merely ovservation, but this is my best working understanding at the moment.

what do motocampers do when they get to their campsite and its pouring down with rain? you cant really setup a tent in the wet without the inner getting soaked as well.
Alright anons, if you could help me figure out what’s wrong with my bike I’d be very grateful. For context, it’s a 2014 Yamaha Roadstar Silverado 1700cc and fuel injected (pic related). The bike has 10,900 miles on it and it just started having this issue last week. So every time I ride it, the idle gets super low and the engine sounds like it’s struggling to stay alive. However, when I first start the bike it operates fine, idle is good, starter is fine etc. so I’m thinking it may be the high idle screw got loosened somehow? I’m not even sure it has a high and low idle screw, but that’s the only thing I can think of. Video link of the struggling sound belowhttps://streamable.com/89ttuo
>>27587995I say trade it in. These fake harleys aren't really built that well. They're kind of meant to be rented.
>>27587993Sure you can, just have to have the right tent. The kind where you first build the outer layer.Setting up in the tain has some benefits too, like you can see where the water is pooling.
>>27587993i use a tarp and bivvy so i just put the tarp up first
>>27587995is this only when it warms up and goes away once it's cold?
>>27587995Does she pull okay? Sounds like one of the cylinders is misfiring.Could be spark plugs, plug leads, ignition coils, maybe a clogged injector? Maybe something as simple as syncing the throttle bodies?
>>27587995There should be a screw somewhere near the throttle body that does it. Does the engine run fine when you're riding?
>>27588006Yes, correct, I have a video of me starting it, and it runs absolutely fine. It’s when the bike heats up it runs horriblyhttps://streamable.com/hrsu2d
>>27587977Hold firm, you should have no problem getting that number.
>>27588011I haven’t really noticed a drop in power when applying throttle, it’s only when I pull in the clutch or let it idle>>27588012Yes it runs totally fine when riding>>27588011It could be, I think the service manual says to adjust the throttle bodies every 16k miles but it only had 11k but it may need adjustment now
>>27588018I'd just set my idle higher and move on with my life if that happened to my bike.
>>27588011>>27588018Wait sorry I was thinking of valve adjustment
>>27588014i'd be looking at the charging and ignition systems but i've also seen this with a dying fuel pump, although usually this will be a known issue for the model
>>27587953yea i AM a simp for the pusszuki
>>27588018I'd just change the plugs and sync the throttle bodies and see if that does 'er.30 bucks and you'll eliminate some suspects.
>>27587401>>27587486Cool bike bro but don’t be a pussy and ride it like it is. Also the frame is not meant to take those rigid parts and will bend more
>>27588022I doubt it's the fuel system, I think the top end would die first before idle does.
>>27588020Naah unadjusted valves wouldn't make one of your cylinders not fire at idle.
Saw a friend last night who rides a gsxr750, he said “I saw you earlier today riding wheelies by my house”Other day sister in law texts me “I saw you out poppin wheelies today”Eventually the police are gonna get me if I keep clowning. On Tuesday I did wheelies in front of 2 different unmarked police cars (sirens inside window). Both braked but didn’t turn around and get me.I just want to be free bros.Getting new knobby Saturday so I can be a dirt guy again, maybe that’s the answer.
>>27588029>Cool bike bro but don’t be a pussy and ride it like it is.based.>>27588030it can happen when the voltage to the pump drops at idle but you'd probably know if your model fuel pumps are susceptible to it
>>27588037Makes sense, but I guess you'd have both cylinders struggling since only one injector is ever firing. Road star bro should put his ear to both cylinders and check if only one of them is acting up.The "runs fine when cold" part is throwing me off a bit.
Boys I think I'm falling out of love with riding a bit. I'm tired of being on the road with lunatics, and I've ridden all the good roads around my home to death. Not sure where to go from here. Probably should try off road riding but I only just bought my latest bike about a year ago.
>>27588048>I've ridden all the good roads around my home to death. >Not sure where to go from hereFarther away from home.
>>27588048Maybe you're just bored with your bike? Perhaps try to rent some bikes out to "spice things up"
>>27588051I'm talking like a 2 hour radius around my home. I've been riding here for a long time. Idk there's also the issue of like. I work 9 to 5 now so I'm only able to do big rides on weekends when every cockhead is out and about causing havok.

I have been riding an Aprilia rs4 125 for the past 3 years and it was great fun. I feel drawn in by the sense of adventure i could get with an off-road bike, especially since i will spend the summer very close to the woods, but i would also love some late night city shenanigans with a sport bike in the big city i live most of the year. It's fixed! Now I just need it to stop raining for 5 mins.
How do you upshift without a clutch? I tried it once on a CBR600F, but must have done something wrong as I couldn't get the next gear to engage and the transmission made crunchy noises.
>>275881352k is decent. Like I said check out the gen 1 transalp, I checked a few listings are some are 33kwAlso the older bmw f650's are exactly 35kw, and should fit your budget as well.

>>27588239Install a steering damper, I suppose. I'm gonna get one for my next bike.
>>27588239Your friend is doing voodoo witchcraft ritual on you. Same as people who tell you to "ride safe"
>>27588250It's literally just poor people or people or just learned how to ride and only care about muh superbike speed. Most don't care or think the zx4 is awesome, the vocal people on socials are almost always newbies because actual riders don't bother dealing with retards all day they'll give up eventually
Is Tenere good for you?
>>27588267Not my thing but it's a really good bike
>>27588253How do you bother with steering dampers? I used to have one on my bike but I haven’t put it back on just because I could never be bothered to use it, made steering feel awful at any setting

>>27587269Thoughts?
>>27588278This is like 3K dollars
>>27588278Honestly pretty good. If there are no ninja 400s around for similar prices the 390 is the next best thing.

>finish wiring VFR yesterday>doesn't start>"oh well the battery must be flat">charge it>try again today>doesn't start>bike has power, heated grips come on, but fuel pump doesn't prime and starter button does nothing>check fuses, starter / tilt sensor fuse (10A) blown>check schematicTurns out that the black cable that I had assumed was a ground connection was, in fact, the supply line for the starter and tilt sensor.Silly me, everyone knows black is red and plus is minus
>>27588341>everyone knows black is red and plus is minusNot on cars and bikes, retard, It's usually brown or green, I think. You shouldn't just guess based on color anyway, you're not playing Among Us with the kids.
>>27588348>Not on cars and bikesYou know nothing about electronics and it shows, but I will concede that I'm a retard for not checking the schematic ahead of time.
>>27588356My dude, I've studied electronics and worked as a sparky fixing lifting equipment, you've spent months trying to hook up three wires and in the end you still got them backwards.
>>27588365>you've spent months trying to hook up three wires and in the end you still got them backwards.
>>27588365Yes because in literally every application ever, black is neutral or ground.
>>27588106sport bike with knobbies
>>27588373Not in automotive, that's what I'm trying to tell you. You can't just assume your bike uses the same wire color coding as your mom's vibrator.
>>27588386Heated grips, voltmeter, the fucking battery, half the relays, the wheel speed sensors, they all use black for their negative terminal, and that's just with a cursory glance over the schematic. Get fucked, the assumption isn't far-fetched at all.
>>27588389Okay, just be sure to get a whole pack when you're buying fuses, because I feel like it's not gonna end there.
