I didn't want to buy the new Eldorado set because I have the original and I think it's overpriced, so I bought the sails off Bricklink and made my own version of the trading ship.
It has two spacious cargo holds.
And the railings lift up for docking.

I'm turning this excavator into a crab. The top is a modded version of some City volcano vehicle I pieced together and was about to rip apart. The bottom is a prototype for now - the final version is going to use ball joints for the hips and I want to add some kind of gripper to the legs, but other than that I think the proportion and shapes are alright.

Saloon moc I built for a much larger Wild West display. I recently took photos of each of the individual buildings standing on their own.

this is the bank. there's a play feature that lets you blow out the wall to the back of the safe
sheriff's office is up next, to the left of the image there's a tiny jail which lets you smuggle a key under the floorboards so the prisoner can escape
second to last we got the saloon. this one i'm just not happy with yet. the gray floor makes it look pretty drab and the whole things is rather empty. after the winter frontier town is finished i think i'll work on an upstairs for the saloon too
and lastly we got the church! the stained glass window is made with 1x1 slopes stacked and they're held together by pressure. it's delicate, but stronger than you might think ^^

I finally built the Seinfeld set that I had sitting my closet for 2 years, my first set since I was a kid. The pieces all feel 'softer' and sort of mush into place rather than having that satisfying 'click' I remember them having, and they're a lot easier to take apart, to the point where they practically come apart by themselves. Overall it was quite fun, but most of the modern sets don't seem too interesting so I doubt I'll get more.Thanks for reading my blog.
