Is there any information public on how the hell they did design transformers? For me as someone without any creativity it looks impossible. Now with pcs I could imagine it working but how did they do it before? Like ok we want a truck that transforms into that robot, you can draw both things but how do you plan the transformations?

I assume they use CAD or some specialized program. Before that, they used wooden mockups to plan things out. Kawamori famously used Lego to work out how his planes transform too. Outside the Studio Series 86 Ratchet and Black Friday promotion two packs Wal Mart put out last Christmas, I haven't bought a new mass retail Transformer since Legacy started. In fact I have largely switched over to Blockees Galaxy and Defender figures, especially after Frameslop and shitting out garbage characters like the 13 Primes started derailing the line. So when SS86 Shockwave suddenly appeared at my local Walmart, even with the bullshit price hikes, I decided to get it. I hated WFC Shockwave with its kibble and battle damage paint, but even with a proper G1 paint deco, I kind of felt ripped off paying $45 with tax for the fucker. Onslaught and starscream just arrived. Once I got him on hand i can certainly say the lack of a gun is a shame because like the others I think he could have held up solo with the transformation seeming fun and he felt solid and heavy but now I have them set up as Bruticus waiting for when Swindle finally comes out over here in the UK. As for Scream this is my first 86 seeker and he looks great, glad I waited since he was always my favourite of the seekers as a kid, I didn't know he also had light piping so taking him out of the box only to be greeted with glowing red eyes was a nice surprise.

Another new figure came in Cartoon color missing link G1 grimlock Same mold as the toy version.The previously chromed parts are now all painted in yellow besides the tail. I don't see much issues with the paint on my copy, but the yellow does have the problem of weaker paint coverage that you can see the colors under it on some parts 2 things this one has going for it comparing to the toy version1. No rub sign, no peeling of the rub sign. The rub sticker on the toy version was peeling right out of the box because it was applied on a curved surface. It already lost part of the heat sensitive. Maybe this is the same with the original toy. I don't know if I should jist remove it all together at this point 2. Stronger lateral outward hip joints. Nothing too strong, but my copy has a stronger hip than the toy version and it does hold its pose better.
