I think I'm done with the DLC. The bosses currently opened for me are Gaius, Mother of Fingers, Mesmer, and Scadutree Avatar, and all four of them feel like not leveling enough is what's preventing me from progressing and I don't feel like grinding more levels. It was alright to this point but you know you're done when you're not feeling frustration or enjoyment, you just feel indifference.

I love the Winter Lanterns in this game. A real fuck you enemy that can be beaten if you fancy risking it. Thank fuck there are only three of them in the entire game and don't respawn. I like the environmental design around them as if they're guarding the yelough fruit crop like some cosmic scarecrow. The yelough fruit also chimes if you come in contact with. I didn't notice that until I killed them all.

I used Milady so I was able to sneak in a ton of hits in his gaps and after partial parrys, and I would swap to my seal for casting Fire Snake or whatever it's called to squeeze in extra damage at range sometimes. The second phase has a lot of scary looking attacks, but the clones are easily blocked with minimal chip even with a medium shield, and the light beams can be avoided by sticking very close or far, but never in the middle. It took me a long time to learn but by the end I was getting through the first phase in like 20 seconds hitless, and I was having a lot of fun clanging his sword away with my shield.

I actually dony mind Radahn from a lore perspective and am a huge Twin Princes simp but the fight is just bad. Phase 2 has way too much going on and his health is way too high. I legitimately just beat the final boss in NG+ my first try. Did full Vergis, Verdigus's shotput, Golden Braid, Dragon crest, pearldrake 3. I assumed I'd be fighting Miquella and cast Lord's divine fortification + used Opaline hardtear and stamina tear. Then after realizing it was Radahn and using magic I swapped it to Fortress of gold for magic def on the team, then second phase swapped back to Lord's divine fortification on the team. I had the old dude with the scythe and a mimic tear helping me and my weapons were the Blood Naginata +25 and Verdigis shield. Ran a blood tank.I feel like I cheesed it. Normally I do Giant Crusher and a shield for max unga bunga but since my hammer special was Prayerful Strike which deals holy damage for heals (I run a paladin tank normally, not point and poke), I didn't wanna use holy on what I assumed would be Miquella.
I actually like the pacing of Elden Ring over their older games. It's a much more relaxed experience, since in the earlier games basically everything is a legacy dungeon so you need to be vigilant at all times. In ER you can do open world content and kind of just chill out and take a break in between exploring legacy dungeons.

Hitting Greatsword of Damnation's L2 on co-op'ers is disgustingly satisfying. I only have Shard of Alexander equipped and it's dealing 80-90% of people's health and killing VIGlets outright - while their friends are forced to watch as my MASSIVE BARBED COCK impales them from the inside and I bask in the i-frames. On the other hand, missing it is pure misery.It's technically not a frenzy weapon, though. It's aligned with the weird rune arc-looking things that the people in the Abyssal Woods worship, and it deals holy damage as a result.
