I enjoyed the game a lot as a newcomer.Just wish I could have played as the companions with their own health that could be downed. They designed three different gameplay styles and all these unique high quality animations, I think they really could have added that much more to control your companions in order to experience the other gameplay modes. Though I can see why they didn't do it, they easily could have rebalanced encounters to allow for it. I'd have to start the game again entirely just to play a Rogue or a Mage when I should have just been able to control my companions instead. I hated the Ability wheel layout and it really deserved a full Command menu/wheel for each character, not just the three skills. Would immediately open up the gameplay possibilities to be more like a proper RPG againAs someone who doesn't know much about Dragon Age I don't have the ability to comment on the story. For what it was, I thought it was an okay cartoony fantasy game with a tinge of darkness. Good and evil were clearly defined and I wasn't weary of people that were on my side, despite Solas obviously being sketchy. I got the good ending by Persuading Solas with Mythal.

She, speaking in hallelujah cadence mind you, wonders if she is actually the "prideful one" and selfish for still loving him. And Solas has said multiple times the same sentiment. They are so each others soulmate, it's made so obvious even if you never played Inquisiton in your life if you are perceptive you can understand why he would love her. She is so wise in this game, so poised. She literally says her vows to him that echo back to what he said to the fear demon that "fate is not certain" or whatever. She says "there is no fate but the love we share." Ugh so good. And in front of witnesses and chastely kiss each other and Solas has tears in his eyes looking at her so deeply in love it's literally a fucking wedding.
