Start with ranger.
Get ranger level 3 for spider.
Rush to 5 for extra attack or multi class to get druid for more webs.
Get ranger level 5 before druid level 5 so your extra attack stacks.

Druid and ranger are not ideal for multiclass because their features are heavily tied to their classes. I won't recommend it for a honor run. Your spider is weak companion will be weak because it relies on your beast master level and your wild shape is weak because you're not a full druid.

Not even close, Rogue is (for anything other than the Thief dip). In tabletop Ranger sucks dick (except Gloomstalker) but Larian did a decent job at buffing the other 2 subclasses into being viable. Tabletop Beastmaster is a straight up disaster of game design.

You know, after months I finally found an answer:

and that is that it depends. Phalar Aluve is exceptionally versatile to buff your allies, or to Shriek your enemies like when you post modded hairstyles. The fact that both actions, Sing/Shriek are only available once per short rest however, does not make the game worth the candle: it is ideal for some fights, such as Grymforge and Moonrise, or in general when you have to manage crowd control with many enemies on the field, choosing whether to use the buff or the nerf.

Of course, limiting the actions of a Monk, who has his Unarmed Attack as the bread and butter of the playstyle would seem silly, a reason for mockery for months for others.

In the specific case of the question, however, it was not mentioned at the time that, with Party Limit Remover, having many allies on the field there is no need to aim for effectiveness, but you can also allow yourself the luxury of enjoying the fights with a pinch of roleplaying, dedicating some characters to specific roles during the clashes, rather than having Frankenstein builds like the War Cleric 2/Bard 3/Bibberbanger 7.

When you get to the morphic pool, the Brain comes out and you make a bunch of meaningless DC checks, then the Emperor comes to bail you out in the Astral Prism. That counts as a sort of long rest somehow, it restores all your resources (except items for some reason), but also deletes all your current buffs and summons, and you can't return to camp at that point to restock. It basically made my entire build useless for no reason, had to reload a save before this whole ordeal so I could avoid using Horcrux and Marko and load some corpses to go on Karlach to rebuild the army.

I had never noticed, but sometimes the game is not very clear in understanding when and how the battles are going to take place, so my general advice (even if you are now at the end of the game so I imagine these are things you already know) is to use the summons only when you have a confirmed view of the enemies: maybe you waste a turn, but better safe than sorry.

PS: so you also always have the camp covered in lakes of blood from all the summons that explode at the end of the day before the long rest? kino

I used summons for the entirety of the run basically, this is the only instance when this happened. My go to after every long rest was wasting 15 minutes summoning and buffing them all and the game never robbed me like this, except now at the very end. Annoying but now I know better

Was doing an honour mode durge run and I was actually having fun for the first time in a long time because I wanted to explore EVERYTHING and I found so much stuff that I had never seen before. Then I went to grymforge and I finally found that stupid deep gnome girl with the rune powder. I talked to her and she kept saying she was gonna blow us up but then said she couldn't do it.
