There allow Zero to freely move around while attacking and since the dash was reworked to not needing to have a ground start animation (if you hold the dash button and jump, you'll automatically dash jump), you can just jump around while attacking. They actually took notice of that in X7 and made so his dash jump attack locked your controls so it was very risky to use. They reversed it in X8 though. But X4 Zero is the worst example of the "high reward" factor because they made X broken with the half charge shot dealing 2 points of damage instead 1.
