I want SotD to be really open like if the whole game played like the second half of Demon Purge. Finally managed to clear all the challenge missions. The puzzles are pretty cool and they teach you some things about the game's mechanics that you might not realize (though the practicality of said knowledge is questionable). The parallel cards you unlock are also neat and make some cards actually worth taking when they were previously garbage (like pic related). Now to wait for more updates so I can use them.

Funnily enough, the final one against Nanakt with 5 turns is pretty easy compared to some of the other ones. Which might mean that a random health pick up in one stage might be your stage access code in another game (you usually start intro+one stage available), while another pickup somewhere else might be the weakness weapon for the boss you gained access to. Can result in quite some chains if you have puzzle bosses enabled (only specific weapons do damage on bosses; charged variants may be counted as different weapons from non-charged counterparts).Thankfully, if you have cleared a stage up to a certain point, you can just load from that checkpoint on subsequent entries. Don't need to beat the whole stage again if you need to check if a certain boss or miniboss is weak to something.One quality of life thing for X3 is that it lets you move on ground while firing off the upgraded buster charge. Reusing room layouts is a common element in these games but I think Aria goes overboard with that. I just finished it in one sitting and I'm struggling to remember what was the point of the Floating Gardens before the chaos realm. You use it to enter the Clock Tower and then? Even the Clock Tower could be just cut in half here.

Ok, serious question, if you were a humanoid Reploid but had to switch bodies to an animaloid one, which Maverick would you choose to be? I would choose either Kuwanger or Sunflower since they have the most human proportions and it would be easier to function normally in my daily life since nothing much would change. I've been playing D-Nizer in GV3 because I never tried it the first time I played the game and I mostly find Gunvolt really fun in this game, but I hate the effect on his Flashfield. The whole screen feels completely illegible in the second boss fight, I'm usually not that sensitive about things like that and I tend to find I'm forgiving of games that some complain have too many particles obscuring the action or whatever, but I seriously cannot follow the screen at all during boss fights.
