the table in vfe ancients would be the better one in terms of balance because it requires the same material that was used to make the apparel in smaller amounts but then you have to install a bloatmod and can't just build the thing
LTS maintenance works without issues and adds weapon degradation but it's very generous and required homemade nerfs before I was willing to use it, and I don't even repair things that aren't relics or deemed irreplaceable for roleplay reasons
if you're asking because you want to use yayo's armor algorithm, consider that having to maintain a pipeline of the sort of apparel you want your pawns to wear because it's expected that they'll need constant replacements is actually pretty interesting gameplay-wise and will help keeping you poor. sometimes you'll have to replace your previous apparel with a shittier version and I think that's fun

I use a combination of WIP, experimentals, barb, and cherry picked textures from manly addon, wanted and fae-facial animations expanded (this one has a few nice brows and lids but a lot of it is vanilla facial animations levels of vomit)
it's surprising cohesive and probably has similar variety to unagi while being less chibi in style

I like how lightweight it is. it reuses tynan's code to buff things like AI reaction time or how they behave prior to the engagement. even if you don't have killboxes, your base is pretty likely to have weak spots that you'll need to consider for the next raid or you could use tactics that force the engagement to start early to make them drop the caution
CAI short circuits tynan's code and the result is hardly even enjoyable in my experience. the dynamic repositioning often benefits me more than the AI, and the multiple subgroups make it easier for raiders to lose a commanding pawn, which results in the whole group not knowing what to do and eventually giving up after starving for a while
I'd rather have vanilla plus instead of something that feels like it's still in early beta, but your mileage may vary I guess

Caravaning isn't really possible at this time since we're surrounded by toxic forest and any animal will likely die. even so the nearest settlement is FAR and routing around the forest is 9 days one way. Vehicles are next on the block, hydroponics are being built. All the entrances to the base are defended but I didn't anticipate such a huge fucking infestation. The good news is the colony has a fuck ton of food and nearly 30k silver so we should be able to recover for about anything with minimal casualties.

It might be that the security doors take so long to open that they prefer the path with no slowdowns. Some things to try:
Switch to normal doors, or keep one held open.

Highly recommend it, you set a few parameters like factions, rain, etc. Once you get it set up you click random from the main menu and it throws you into a game with everything randomized (story teller, pawns, map tile, scenario). It's a blast to use.

Realistically how hard is it to make a CE compatible weapon mod with similar features like attaching bayonets/suppressors, deploying bipods, etc.? I feel like my current weaponry isn't slapdash enough (pic very related). I have years of experience working with Photoshop and Illustrator but haven't exactly gotten into the nitty gritty of modding Rimworld other than simple texture swaps.
I want to get more experience modding because I'd love to produce a CE and multiplayer compatible mods Namey something with custom user-created ammo calibers (to prevent wide usage when captured by enemies in multiplayer), and a modular gunsmith with external and internal components separately because I've looked looked at both available modular weapons mods and they both make concessions there when you could have easily made the action and barrel the biggest contributors to performance rather than external looks.

Figure out what mod adds that.
If it updated recently it might have broken something when the old files mixed with the new. In that case it should be fixed if you delete the mod completely and redownload it.
If that doesn't fix it the mod is probably broken somewhere and you'll have to ask the mod author. Or just get rid of the mod.

Paul caught an impact grenade to the chest. The initial explosion took his arm off and the shrapnel went into his chest. If Kandice wasn't standing right next to him with meds, he'd be fuckin dead.

There are different tiers to growth and learning, and kids usually want 2 different kinds of learning which sometimes requires having a teacher, so if you want the best possible growth tier you need to make sure their learning desires are met.
