It's been discussed a million times here in the general; it's not about the complexity of Shadowheart or human's sexuality (tho of course someone from the US in 2024 would argue for those, no offense:). Them and Paladin are probably the best at just surviving the early game if that's your goal.For a fighter Ander's sword you get from the toll house stays good for a long time and you can get it pretty early. The active on it is good because fighters don't really concentrate on many things typically anyway. I usually use that thing until you find a +2 greatsword. The one you get from corsair greymon is also good, and the sussar bark greatsword is the third good one in act 1/2.Winning combat has less to do with class choice and more to do with just making sure you're at the right level for that section, and making sure your character is built right. Your stat distribution is correct for what you want to do, you have been updating your gear with stuff you find, etc. A party of any class distribution can beat the game, but a party of people with the wrong stats or the wrong gear or who are underleveled would have trouble. So my advice is less about classes, and more about xp. I would bet money that almost every single person who says they're getting killed a lot is just doing things in an order that brings them to an area that they are underleveled for, except for the cases of the people who are trying to cast spells with Str and swing a sword with Int of course. There are certain xp thresholds for each section of the game. The real tip for always having an easy time is to vacuum up all the xp you can find, and always be a level above whatever enemies you're facing. The game generally lets you do this, including bosses. Completionism is rewarded.
