Evil doesn’t actually exist in DnD. Theres an alignment system that labels something as evil, but actual metaphysical evil isn’t real and everything fully subjective in the forgotten realms. Ao supports “evil” gods being evil. Evil people don’t get judged and go to hell. There’s no objective foundation for evil being wrong. If you are a murderer and worship Bhaal you don’t go to hell you go to Bhaal and he gives you your afterlife. Hell if you’re a murderhobo worshipper of Selune fighting for the greater good you still go to Selune. Being evil in DnD isn’t wrong, you just worship different gods and have a different perspective, one which is wholly supported by the Overgod as being legitimate. Actual evil as an objective reality would be harshly punished and Ao would exterminate evil gods if there was truly such a thing.

None, it's purely for RP flavor. Half and half characters just don't work in a party based RPG where you've got multiple classes available. Why be a half wizard when Gale is right there, why be a half martial when Lae'zel is right there, you just end up weak and bad at everything. Bhaalist armor is one of the best armors in the game, arguably the best since most armors don't double your damage. booal's blessing is pretty nice icing. The infernal robe is a pretty reasonable robe, and so is Isobel's. Ulder's armor is good. People seem to forget that the hag hair is the bad route as well, and every powergamer takes that. So I think the bad route gets more toys than most people make it sound. The good route gets more but the bad route isn't hurting for stuff like lots of people say.

The one thing that hurts the most is the Potent Robe. For a Warlock or Warlock multiclass, no other chest piece comes even halfway close to it.
Heavy armor users have some alternatives to the Armor of Persistence, both Helldusk and Bhaalist are great, but there's nothing comparable to Potent Robe.
Yet, the class that is most often associated with Evil and is a popular pick for evil runs, gets cucked out of it. Doubly so because, expecially if you're Durge and maybe don't want to side with the goblins (honestly not even an evil character would side with the goblins, the first thing they do is make you eat shit, kiss feet, brand you like cattle and drug you to torture you, any self respecting evil character would exterminate them and keep the children for last so they can watch), you still end up killing Alfira, the one that gives you your BIS armor, unless you metagame around it.
It's the Potent Robe that breaks the deal for me.

How did Wyll and Karlach get tadpole'd? I get tav/durge, froggy, we literally see that. Shadowheart was part of the plan. Gale, Asterion... no idea why those two were abducted, but can accept that they were at wrong time in the wrong place. Minthara looks like the kind of person that would happily put the tadpole into her eye for the promise of more power. But Wyll and Karlach boarded the nautiloid in Avernus. There wasn't enough time for them to get implanted by parasites and they aren't stupid enough to infect themselves on purpose.

another issue is that the Nautiloid, by the time it was in Hell, was already in deep shit due to the Gith attack and also under fire by Imps and Cambions.
How tadpoling some random people was still a priority is beyond me, nevermind that Karlach and Wyll were quite powerful before being tadpoled, so they must've put up a fight.

Both Astarion and Gale are also odd cases.
Astarion was most likely on the prowl in Baldur's gate, so that Nautiloid must've shown up during the Night and presumably captured a bunch of more people from Baldur's gate.
Gale was sad, sitting in tower crying about the "break up" with Mystra, how he was abducted is questionable at best.
Honestly, beyond Lae'zel (which unfortunately makes her incompetent for being abducted) and Shadowheart, none of the companion don't feel contrived as far as their abduction is concerned.
Having Minsc in there would ironically have made a ton of sense in hindsight.

If you put Waterdeep and Yartar into straight line, you can figure out he was heading to the least inhabited area in Faerun. What he wanted to do there is kind of... sad, considering his condition. Abduction might have been the best thing that happened to him in a while.

Tav has a rumbly tummy from all that "goodberry pie" but just can't stop.
As soon as Daddy Halsin pumps a new batch into Shadowheart, Tav is in place ready to slurp it up like a greedy little beast. It goes on like this for all the night and into the morning.
Finally Tav retches, it's just been too much druidic seed... yet still, the feeding frenzy continues.

Halsin and Shadowheart look both disgusted and highly amused. "Nature's bounty" he says to her and she laughs, shaking her head and looking away.
Slowly over time, Tav becomes conditioned and addicted to slurping up the Goodberry Pie, which is good because Halsin and Shadowheart keep making more of it, and Tav's new role in their relationship pleases the two of them.

If I were to go all in on an element, like X type dragonborn, sorc with X draconic ancestry, and X elemental adept, what do you think would be a good pick? Fire? Lightning? I guess what matters the most is the amount and quality of the spells of each type.

Probably Lightning. You get plenty of variation for spell damage types and can set yourself up for LOADSADAMAGE with Wet. Storm Sorc or Lightning Draconic Ancestry both work

Fire Sorc 100%, it's one of the most broken builds in the game. Uses the hat of fire acuity + Scorching Ray spam to get unresistable CC spells while shitting out damage

Frost Sorc. Get Mourning Frost, Snowburst Ring, Winter's Clutches, Potent Robes, and that one Necklace that lets you add Cha to cantrips. Without even getting into your actual spells, your Ray of Frost now does 3d8 + 2x Cha (which may randomly double because you apply debuffs to the enemy) and creates massive pools of ice that the enemies will all trip over. And very little resists Frost
