If you got 40, you're skilled enough to do true survivor. An easy-ish map with easy-ish modifiers and everyone agreeing to run a team comp that's really easy to execute, then sticking together and religiously following pings, should let you get it in a couple of attempts, even with randos.
Double chorus with psykinetic aura really does hit different.

Same, I have a hard time going back to aurics now. Being conditioned to actually respect shooters and consider my actions instead of diving headfirst into the biggest pack of enemies I can find has been a refreshing experience.
I'd also like to see them adding certain maps as potentially "higher" levels, either through penances or simply added in rotation, like Excise Vault or Hab Dreyko/Silo Cluster.

Most DLC Weapons are in the top tier and hard to go wrong with them. Bretsword, Mace&Sword, Shield&Spear, Flame Flail, billhook, dual hammers, coghammer, javelin, etc.
Throwing Axes for Bardin are mid, and the Elf Axe is at the bottom for elf.

Base weapons as easier starters,
Kruber -
Two-Handed Hammer for armour and crowd control. Excellent choice for any Kruber.
Halberd for general use once you get used to the combos.
Executioner Sword is fun, but has notable weakness of poor mobility and getting caught on too many elites in higher difficulties.
Huntsman, wants either the mobility of 1h mace or 1h sword, or the stagger thp and safety of a shield.
Bardin -
Two-Handed Hammer for general use or one-handed hammer for mobility
Great-Axe is fine for Ironbreaker or Slayer. Ironbreaker wants to leverage his huge inherent toughness into offense, and should generally avoid shields.
Axe&Shield is fine for Ranger;
Kerillian -
Sword&Dagger, is still the best elf melee
Glaive, for a weapon with some stagger and casual armour damage.
Spear, is a decent general use weapon. handmaiden can get a little more out of it with her high stamina regen fuelling pushattack combos.
Saltzpyre -
Rapier for stabbing.
Flail if you hate shieldvermin.
Sienna -
Flaming Sword for control; very good on Famished Flames Battle Wizard.
Mace for general use.

I made a 4-player co-op game called Hellbirther, the game's free if anyone's interested. Basically an Ace Combat inspired action game where you control a walking tank drone and blow shit up while leveling up and unlocking lots of new stuff. Game's not 100% finished but it's pretty close, and I've designed it to be playable as if it was finished despite the campaign missing the final missions.

It's not on Steam yet, right now the game is available as a .zip that you extract wherever you want. Co-op works with Player 1 on kb+m and the rest of the players on controller, either local or with online remote play (Parsec or whatever). I've only played it co-op a little bit but it was really cool going through the campaign with other players backing me up on the harder difficulties. Every mode works with co-op. I'll be busy for a while but at some point I want to come into here and try to grab 3 random people to film some co-op gameplay with (assuming I can find 3 people that are down to try it out)

Power wise, gunlugger specifically feels fucking great in aurics. In havoc, it's mostly 30+ that makes ogryn fall behind a lot, but a good ogryn is still useful in my experience. Buuut the same player on chorus zealot is a lot more effective.

Ogryn is fine on lower difficulties because he's specifically balanced around being so sluggish that he often eats shit, but is able to take it by hitting shit over the head a lot.
The moment he stops being able to take it you have all drawback and no benefit from it anymore. He's just straight up more sluggish and has nothing to balance it out

Straight buffs wont change this much unless you gave him gamebreaking stats. There's two ways to deal with this problem. One could be speeding him up, which basically giving up on the unique design which imo is lame. The other way, which I think is far more interesting, is making sure he retains his "don't give a fuck I'm an ogre" in some form. If he could wade through horde enemies, for example, it would give him a lot of movement and freedom that he needs in Havoc while remaining unique. Another thing that could feed into this approach is giving him good stagger values back. I'm not saying he should be able to stunlock bosses like he used to but goddam even a dueling sword can stun mutants. Gotta make his CC actually impactful to make up for his sluggishness. There's a lot of concepts they could play with here. Another could be talent additions/changes/buffs such as giving him a form of ranged DR with some interesting conditions, or maybe playing into the suppress mechanic a bit more. I'm always amazed that shooters just stand there and plink at a 10 foot ogryn rampaging through what is supposed to be their cover. Would be pretty cool if Ogryn had a "suppress on meele kill" talent or something like this.

Also I forgot to say another aspect of this is that other characters are just too tanky comparatively. Vet has all the fun stuff vets have but he gets to tank crusher overheads and facetank shooters even more than Ogryn does, who is specifically built to be slow and sluggish in exchange for being tanky. How does that make any sense whatsoever?

Malice. Ogryn is balanced for malice.
The devs are malicelets, the playtesters are pro gaymers that take their job very seriously and ogryn isn't ADHD enough, and the few retards that care about ogryn are brain damaged enough to convincingly LARP as one.

Try playing ogryn into malice, it actually feels like you're obscenely tanky. You can just eat hits in melee left right and center and only lose like 10% of your health while the veteran might've keeled over if not for pissing on himself. It really does feel like it's supposed to be a low skill class for low difficulties, hence why it's somehow getting repeatedly nerfed despite being objectively weak in the highest difficulties.

I do honestly like the idea as an ogryn you can push smaller enemies out of your way just by walking into them. It would give them that nice bit of mobility while still keeping true to original idea and makes him more unique as a class.
Though I do also want some proper buffs to ogryn and his skills.
Like buffing his base toughness from 50 to 70 like zealot has it. And also reverse some of the nerfs to his skills, like reverse the delight in destruction nerf.
Another is reworking just really bad skills that no one wants to use.
Like for example take Won't Give In, they should rework it so that you get a damage reduction for how many enemies are near you. Like say "5% damage reduction having 2 or more enemies near you. Stacks 8 times."

Yeah I said I don't think he needs stat buffs, but base toughness buffs is one of the few I'd consider a sensical stat buff. Him having more toughness would bridge the gap with shooters a lot more. Another is his general first enemy hit damage on most weapons which is utter fucking dogshit. His overheads are mostly fine but goddamn try killing something with bully clubs light you'd think you're using a foam bat. The weps need tuning
I'm willing to believe hwat other anons have said though and assume this will never happen because it'd make him really OP on malice even moreso than he is now. It's hard to balance Ogryn when you have to make sure he doesn't turn the joke difficulty into a joke, but the devs seemingly do take that approach.

The psyker skill tree is well designed in that you make meaningful choices from the very start, with only a couple cookie cutter options that every build that can, should take.
Veteran is somewhat similar, in that it can feel extremely tight for points if you want to take all the minmax shit, but with only some minor sacrifices, can personalize it to the point of making even bolter's awful swap and reload feel serviceable.

Meanwhile zealot is completely schizo in that certain sides of the tree are obviously more useful than the others, but they're all on different sides in different tiers. Also for some reason you get some really overpowered melee crit nodes everywhere and if you take them all you just become a blender.
Ogryn is me like rock me go left me go left me not forget cdr in middle. Maybe me go right because gun. Shit, half the nodes you pick up along the way are fucking worthless, and most forks are no-brainers as well.

I mainly play ogryn and the biggest difference comes down to how well the rest of the team play
If I get a team that knows how to move at pace correctly and capitalises on my bullrushes into gunner patrols then missions are an absolute cakewalk
On the other hand if you get a team that drags its heels and refuses to play with some level of aggression its miserable and you'll often get hung out to dry by them as they run off scared of a mauler or two

Some rending outside of F would be nice, haven't seen a dclaw or heavy sword in a while and when you do they're almost required to take a bolter which means they're almost required to take throwing knives. I just bought Darktide, what are those little percentages underneath the weapon info? Seems like they only go to 80%, are they critically important, is it possible to get all 80s and if so should I be aiming for that?

You can get all to 80% minus 20%

The first number is the current stats of the weapon, the second number is max potential stats of the weapon after Empowering it at Hadron's craft station. Max empower cap is increased through weapon masteries.

A weapon at max level will reach Rating 500
380 of those rating points belong to the stat bars. Which allows at max stats four 80%s and one 60%. Generally Mobility (or Defence) will be the stat you want at 60%.
