Bodahn skip: Pull all the darkspawn to the start of lothering. Group teleport at the doomsayer. Stealth all the way to the exit and leave. Bodahn will not be at your party camp. This is a handy way to reduce your xp by 254. Bodahn may or may not show up later in the game. Or, you should be able to recruit both oghren and shale, and then return to lothering (it doesn’t get removed from your map until after a main quest is completed), to gather up bodahn and whatever else you wanna do there. Clear the whole place, you don’t need to save anymore xp at that point.

You can’t stealth past the mobs to lord dace during the princes first task without tier 2 stealth. Since we’re level 3, the next best thing is to pull the entire thaig.! Dace can’t die, although his guards will. He will kill every enemy, there’s like 100 of them. Takes awhile.

Finally left the Wintersun area after dealing with the bear. All that's left is the stone tree and I remember that being pretty tough on Core so this will be likely annoying. As usual I will only do some minimal prepping unless I TPK a few times, preferring to buff in combat. Had to return to Drezen instead of resting because on Hard the corruption goes up extremely fast. Plus we took care of some crusade stuff.On the way back to Wintersun, some baphomet cultists stopped us, so it was a fine opportunity to try out a new lich spell, which was fun and looks pretty neat.

When you refuse to acknowledge to any degree the way the player executes their fantasy you get MMO-tier quest design.
Without tier 2 coercion, you have to fight imrek. Which means you’ll miss out on stealing from all the npcs during the origin, and at ostagar. It’s a pretty big gold and xp loss. If you play as a dwarf commoner, you will be able to steal. But you’ll miss out on the human racial bonus. And, overall this won’t even be an xp save. As the dwarf commoner origin gives more xp than the human origin. Using the ostagar map hole glitch, it’s probably alright to get tier 2 stealing before any points in coercion. Although this needs a bit more testing. We probably can just skip out on coercion all together, if we make wise choices, as we’re a cunning rogue, and all coercion does is give you 25 points into cunning. Theres not too many early game persuade options with a significant reward. Ideally, we want to rush tier 4 stealing at the very least. Postponing combat training for a point in coercion is probably the best option. By that point, we will have over 60 dialog cunning, which should be enough for all the early game persuade options. Of which, I haven’t categorized. I need to find a list of it. Redcliffe village, you’ll miss out on the sword, and recruiting Dwynne. You also cannot do the side quests in brecillian forest. Which may be problematic, as we want to gain access to donating elfroot asap, while maximizing our gold and xp gains during that phase.

Audecan thaigs design is interesting. It seems the devs meant for you to not have access to tier 2 stealth. As the enemies lord dace will be killing don’t drop any loot. And the darkspawn lose aggro, because of the size of the map. Meaning you can return to collect their loot after you complete oghren. Imrek however, seems like you are suppose to kill him. As his bodyguard drops a rare helmet. And their loot table is pretty high value in general, you can easily get a couple gold off of them. Unless the run changes, we still cannot do oghren without map glitching in ostagar. Bringing Jory instead of lelianna to orzamar is better, lelianna won’t gain a full level anyways, which means all xp gains are worthless. Orzamar will have a lot of moments where your guys need to tank damage. Jory will have a higher armor rating. Fun fact is you can give Jory 2 tomes to unlock taunt, and he’s good enough to use for the rest of the game. Although shale will still be way better.

Ian and I explored and tried to join the khans, but ian aggroed on garl and hit him with a crit fucking twice and knocked him down. Ian is a monster at these early levels, sadly I had to reload because we where heavily out numbered, but the khans kept aggroing when I tried to join for pulling my gun to kill the girls, so I decided to leave and come back later with more gear. we went to vault 15, dead end, wandered to junk town, killed some cannibal doctor and my lockpicking skill came in handy to get some free ammo and alcohol which I traded with this absolute stud for a deagle. Another oghren run complete. Got some huge xp saves this time. -0xp korcari -killed like 12 less darkspawn on ishal 1F -0xp lothering, we can skip recruiting bodahn until later -0xp orzammar. You can skip the doorman before jarviaOne problem is there are a lot of chests in the Carta hideout. But to open them, we need to use a tome on lelianna, who is already level 4. And lelianna isn’t a party member we will be using after jarvia, so the tome is almost totally wasted. If we don’t do this, we cannot chest reset the carta hideout. The gold bonus probably wouldn’t be much greater than 22g50s anyways, so I don’t think I’ll do this. I might test it out, just for fun. I did end up getting the level 5 oghren, although I had to map glitch ostagar. With all these xp saves, we’re getting very close to not even needing to do that. Which would give our warden 2 extra talent points from the joining. But, these talent points are really just quality of life improvements to the character, rogues like the least desperate, and will have plenty of points to spare to unlock its full potential.

As I said in the post it was permanent, like actually. It happens if you fail the check.I beat the fight shortly after my post, but there really isn't a real counter to that confusion You can use prayer against bewilderment and the paladins supress ability but its a huge downside since the fight is tough enough as is, which the tentacles dealing 200+ damage per round of rocks if you get hit. So you want to focus on the buffs first and foremostIt's better to just leave and get the con or resolve necessary to avoid the debuff. I didn't know con would work, I happened upon it since the rest at the inn gives 2 con which pushed me over the invisible limit. I think this is one of the few encounters, aside from text events, where your options are hidden from you even if you play with the "show unfilled requirements" setting on.

If you run to the exit during phase 1 of jarvia, when she goes stealth and summons the adds, they won’t aggro to you. But she will still run all the way back. You can lock her in the treasure room by closing the door while she’s inside. She will still open the door in stealth to try to go to the middle of the room. But she gets stuck in a loop where she immediately drops stealth. The adds are worth like 200 xp.

Ishal 1F is one of the coolest places in origins. It uses several mechanics. First you kite the elite darkspawn into the far room. Next, you stealth your rogue into the stairway, making sure to avoid everything, and lock the door behind you. Next, you move everyone who is not a rogue as close to the stair room as possible, and have them die. Wait for every enemy to patrol back. Then have your rogue clear the room of enemies. And now you can walk to your party and rez them. This saves an extra 100xp compared to the old way, where we killed the elite. It should work, I haven’t tested it yet. I’m tripping out in honnleath where I actually managed to trick like half the darkspawn into patrolling from their slope. But I can’t repeat this for some reason. They always seem to have a trigger, it’s designed to make a normal everyday joe face extra enemies by surprise. But we can trigger these events to bypass them using stealth and a group teleport by triggering a cutscene. Or in this case we can go into willhelms cellar, completely avoiding the elite and an extra couple darkspawn.

I’ll definitely be bringing daveth instead of alistair. Dirty tricks is way better cc than any other spell and works on elites every time. Rogues are so good early game. Daveth, the warden and lelianna. All rogues. And Morrigan as the 4th. She’s not better than alistair, but she will benefit more from the xp, because she’s our main mage. Alistair is the trap bitch just in case we find a use for that skill one day. Everything will be so much easier with 3 rogues. But like as soon as we unlock forcefield and taunt, we only want damage. It also seems we can get a level 4 shale if we do honnleath before oghrin. Although shales levels don’t really seem necessary, im not actually sure how to build shale lol. Her crystals and attributes don’t seem to matter at all. I guess it’s best to prioritize mana regen and wisdom. As shale will spend 10 seconds outside of a forcefield, so if we can keep her buff going the entire time it’s a dps increase. The plans basically to use mind blast, and have shale tank the damage for like 6 seconds, until forcefield is off cooldown. But if shale is dying during this, the dodge crystals would be more useful. We won’t be training any heal spells, so I guess it just depends on who we’re facing. If we pull like 20 guys obviously shales gonna die, but those fights are pretty rare.
