Spent 5 hours yesterday chasing down a bug. It was caused by three unconnected mistakes on my part, and leaving any one of them unfixed didn't change anything so it was like whatever I tried nothing seemed to work. The bug? An image turned black for 3 frames during a screen transition. But it's fixed now so that's something at least.

What do solo devs here do about the aspects of the game they have no experience with? I can draw and code but I can't really do much else. Is collaboration the only option?
Let me preface this by saying I'm NOT Betz, but I think Betz's best course of action is to finish out the game jam and then fuck off for awhile until he's ready to do the summer show. Not to play detective but none of this stuff went off the rails until recently so I genuinely think it's a manic episode and it'll pass. I have my theory as to why it went nuclear but no one cares honestly so I'll keep it to myself.I don't think Betz is a bad person, but he needs some time offline for a while DESU. I think he's capable of putting something cool together which I have participated in.
