I like how you described the evolution trees, and the location in general. Using multiple senses to portray d'Alin's feelings/reactions made it immersive. You also did well conveying an Eevee's conflict when faced with so many options. And Pirth's evolving delusion (pun intended) is amusing. I wonder how far it'll spiral out of control.

As for criticism, I feel like the joke at the start was kinda forced and lasted too long. Also, you mentioned that d'Alin has partial amnesia and is concerned about being too prideful, but I don't think those traits have been brought up before. They probably should've been mentioned earlier because they're important character details (then again, maybe you did bring them up before and I just forgot). Regarding the dream d'Alin had when evolving, I wish you'd actually depicted it. It was hyped up as the best dream ever, but the audience never got to see it, which was sort of a letdown.

The titular poem was a nice touch. I'm also enjoying the bond between d'Alin and Arimis. Their interactions and conversations are always nice. And you did a good job writing d'Alin's hard choices and conveying a crushing sense of finality. Similarly, the major conflict with Althi's prejudice and the argument was handled pretty well.

That said, I found it a bit surprising that Althi reacted so strongly to Garchomp's death and became so prejudiced over it, since she never really bonded with him IIRC. Also, while I appreciate d'Alin has an overarching goal, I think there should've been some proof (beyond just d'Alin's intuition) that the ocean dream is a gateway between worlds and reaching the ship will let him return home. Lastly, I felt like your prose got kinda purple near the end.

Overall, I'm liking the story so far. I know the next chapter is huge and full of cameos, so I'm looking forward to reading that one.

The pokemon variety, because it goes so much further than "i can't use charizard." You see the same few pokemon constantly, and what pokemon there are in the game often have some very horrible moves. Mud Slap, Pluck, Bug Bite, Incinerate, all are spammed constantly. It also makes dungeons feel very samey, especially when 4 in a row have Pansear in them.

I'm gonna be real, I think this series is incredibly overrated. The writing in PMD isn't anywhere close to the quality people hype it up to be.

Rescue Team wasn't crazy ambitious with its story, but it told it pretty well. Not interesting but probably the best in the series just because it kept things safe. The ending is carried only by the music.

Explorers is overrated as fuck. The story has its moments but it really shot itself in the foot by including all the time travel shit. The partner is a total pussy for about half the game, becomes a complete retard in the dark future, and only really becomes kinda interesting in the last act of the game. Grovyle is just standard edgelord shit who you're supposed to feel connected to because backstory but he also has no personality besides being an antisocial retard who, for whatever reason, travels just a few months before temporal tower was collapsing, needlessly putting the world at risk and giving Dusknoir years to build up a reputation as a legendary explorer. Characters should've all died during that braindead execution scene if the villains had two functioning brain cells.

Gates was boring for most of the game but it handled the side characters pretty well and the post game story was good. The Deus Ex Machina was retarded though. Game as a whole wastes way too much time with the side characters, too. Virizion's whole character is that she doesn't wanna be friends with people because one of her friends was a dick. The lore of "people around the world are becoming meaner for some reason" is barely ever shown outside of two or three cutscenes. Umbreon and Espeon only exist as plot devices so you can go to the glacier, only to go back home and waste even more time on fucking around in Paradise. Hydreigon's plan gets a billion humans killed for literally no reason because he's a braindead retard and never does anything to stop Munna from intercepting his messages. It earned its shit score.

i feel like you may have missed the more subtle parts of this story in regards to this, as the game focuses pretty heavily on it, it's just a lot of them get brushed over or shown in strange ways. there's gurdurr's house, keldeo, the notices surrounding umbreon when he's running away, espeon's potential to have manipulated swadloon, munna needs no explanation , among numerous scenes and dialog instances where the general townsfolk are pessimistic. gates's problems exist in spades in regards to bringing things up that it has no business returning to later, otherwise plot convenience when it feels like it, besides some odd japanese things like having the villains retreat for no good reason half the time marring the plot.

its shit score comes from the gameplay primarily, not so much its story, it's one of the better ones (though it's definitely praised too highly online, i will give you that)

Mustel is 4'6"/137cm which is slightly taller than the average Zangoose.
Serpes on the other hand is over 12 feet long or 3.6~ meters, which is quite large compared to the Seviper's 8'10"/270cm average length.

My art of them fluctuates all the time so it'll be a miracle if I ever do an accurate piece following these measures.

As for Althi and Arimis I guess they'd both be on the taller end of the spectrum since glaceons and zoruas are smaller than I initially thought and I pictured all non-Arceus-appointed Team Eevee members being practically identical heights.

The dreepy are probably pretty tiny since they can fit snugly into the palm of Ikarus' hand :P

it doesn't matter what they ended up being in the end, the point beforehand was that pokemon automatically assumed the worst of others before coming to the more sensible conclusions which is what lead the bittercold to absorb the negative emotions to begin with. all that distrust invariably managed to culminate over time no matter how insignificant they are paling to the result of why these things happened as they did.

virizion assumes keldeo wanted nothing to do with her. the town assumed umbreon was dangerous enough to print notices and scream and shout at him before virizion recognized him, and espeon was crying because of the fact she'd regretted putting a child in danger because of her own fear and paranoia over her research.

they literally address this after kyurem when the duo attempt to perk up the town and it doesn't fuckin go well.

the game has trouble with the finer details of this, but the instance that 'pokemon are giving into despair' is very prominent all throughout the game, and there are examples i haven't pointed out even that point toward it.

if anything it's super that flubs this because all of its moral misgivings happen in the first 10 chapters of the game and are promptly abandoned until a couple of convoluted ending textboxes.

There's no unnatural negativity there, that's a natural response to being told that everyone you know and love is probably gonna die unless this random shitter actually manages to reach the top of the mystical glacier and shatter the snowflake demon inside of it with his team of land developers. I listened to these with eleven lab's Ai narration while on a roadtrip.

(skipped summer festival story because it looks really good to read and want to enjoy it fully)

These stories are SOOOOOOOOOOO cozy. Team Petal-Purr are the poster children of wholesomeness in this guild. The stories remind me of those of chespin : super cozy, light-hearten and brings a smile to my face from start to end. Except petal's stories are a very different still! Like a whole different flavour of cozyness I didn't know about. I think Petal-Purr (the author) puts more emphasis on cuteness while chespin puts more on adventures and slice-of-life.

Anyway, the girls are adorable. ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think my favorite part of these stories are the art that accompanies it! beautiful art from an amazing artist. God bless praying emoji + kino + based + zazzed

It was a great story. Gible and friens are some of my favorite characters of the guild, a shame we don't see more of them. Shout out to hans and mr gible, amazing duo. Lots of parts made me laugh, especially the ones with gible investigating the guild, lliam's secret closet and the meme library books were hilarious. Also, I loved how alive the guild felt in the story, with well-described guild building layout, mons wandering around (ross sleepwalking) etc. Felt like I was in there.

What an amazing author. Holy shit. I fell in love with the characters, the stories, the adventures, the world, the relationships, the funny moments, the sad ones, the happy ones. It was a roller coaster. Those stories go absolutely everywhere emotionally and I loved it!!!!

Do you have experience writing stories, vaporeon anon? The pacing, dialog and descriptions are very high quality, makes me wonder the previous exp in writing.

I noted down some random passage I liked :
I love how right from the first stories there are reference to previous clover guild lore, like the burning down of apple woods mentioned by Garchomp. also I love how Garchomp mentioned there was a KANTOOOOOO human team kek

eeveelution forest was super fun to read! Loved all the different flavours you gave to each eevee types!!

the part when pirth became a "super-leafeon" was extraordinary. Only a trve pvre blood lefeon like Pirth could ever hope reaching such a stage. Sometimes Pirth makes me think of Terry Davis : racist, divine intellect and schizophrenic.

for real though I feel like this review does not make justice on how much I enjoyed these stories. My head is kind of in a foggy state right now, so I find it difficult to express my feelings properly. But reading all these stories back to back was an amazing experience. It made me feel like I went into a wonderful adventure with team eevee, and that d'Alin, pirth, althi and arimis are my friends. I love them.

Anyway, I am very excited to read Enter the guilded age!!! My favorite part when reading clover stories are when they mix together characters from different authors!!!! I'll read it soon :>
