This game is way overhated right nowProbably unpopular opinion based on the current state, but the game is crazy hated on right now. The bugs are annoying and I guess the dawning is not what people expected it to be, but honestly I don’t see the major problems. The bugs that I had (previously posted) took all of 3 minutes to fix on my end. While I understand and agree that it should have been found, patched and taken care of before release, the bugs are not game breaking. Maybe I am bias since this is my first Dawning in several years, but I’m honestly having a great time with this event, I’m enjoying actually doing bounties and doing things that I don’t normally do, and exploring places I haven’t touched in a long time (the moon for me).Additionally content wise, I’ve been primarily and almost exclusively a PvE player to include end game material. I’ve cleared every raid but Deep Stone, and have done almost all dungeons. I completely agree that the content can be repetitive, but it’s only repetitive if you’re not willing to do other activities the games offer. I’ve recently gotten very into PvP. Trials have been without question my favorite thing to do recently. This past weekend I’ve finished my first ever card, granted super flawed, but finished nonetheless. Just got to gold 3 in competitive mode and just need to get to platinum for the associated triumph seal.

I love Arc Titan, the aesthetic is too good. I am sad I missed out on Touch of Thunder Storm Grenades being super powerful, but I’m having fun with the subclass still this season utilizing some of the artifact mods. I do hope they add something else to the pure subclasses to let them compete with Prismatic once Frontiers releases, I assume they’ll keep Prismatic the strongest until then.

But if seasons still disappear there are huge gaps in the narrative. If seasons don't get vaulted either, I think it's overall a better situation, but then you have a small version of the FFXIV onboarding problem where there is almost too much. Red war has a great opening, and a great closing, but all the planetary stories suck shit. Forsaken has a great opening and closing, but the baron hunts sucked shit. The other problem is destiny over charges for old content. They would need to be a lot "nicer" than they have been and I don't see that happening.

The quality is gone in terms of seasons and the only high quality content that really drops now is expansions since they know if they vault expansions again, the community is gonna go ape shit. Witch Queen's seasons, Lightfall's seasons and Final Shape's seasons is also a testament to my statement that they could care less about seasons since Lightfall and Final Shape's seasons have not been received all that well generally. If they really want to get players back which I don't even if they can anymore at this stage, they'll need to increase the quality output of their upcoming content drops and unvault content. But that's just my take on the things discussed here.
