Melee characters should all have the lunge/attack magnetism that Iron Fist has. It's actually pretty baffling that they do not. Additionally, either melee characters should get a movement speed bonus when near enemy players or backpedaling should be made slower than moving forward. Ranged characters have no business having such an easy time kiting melee.

Characters to learn in order to escape low ranks fast in order of priority 1. Dr. Strange - You'll be stuck tanking a lot and he's one of the best tanks and one of the best solo tanks2. Mantis - You're stuck on support a lot and she's one of the best in the game and also easy3. Venom - If you have complete dick heals he's the tank that can still stay alive and heavy stall the objective 4. Magneto and/or Groot - heavily defensive characters for matches when you just need to build the bunker. Magneto is better if your problem is with the enemy dps, Groot is better if your problem is with the enemy tanks5. Punisher and/or Winter soldier - For matches where there is so much fucking anti-tank bullshit (e.g. wolverine, thor) that it's just not worth attempting to play tank. Punisher is good if you're just looking to shred up enemy tanks especially on defense , winter soldier is good if your looking to stop dps dive heroes (and also a good tank buster)6. Adam Warlock - Mantis is the best pick for support usually, but if mantis is taken he's still good and powers up mantis7. Rocket Raccoon - Support who can stay alive when supports are being hard targeted8. Peni Parker - she's just guaranteed free win in the very very low ranks where retards just step on her mines on loop and also a good general defensive pick 9. Hulk - Very strong teammups you can enable, pretty good hero as well but takes a while to learn10. Solo carry dps (e.g. Psylocke, Namor, Hella, Hawkeye) - this is the fastest way to climb, but also lowers your odds of getting a viable team comp drastically11. Star lord - If their team has a smurf dps this is the easiest last hope character to hard target them on.

I'm by no means a top player but one of my critiques for this game is how excessive mobility hurts it. Take domination for example. It's hard to set up an off angle for too long without a pocket but the damage in this game is too high that tanks need 2 healers at all times to keep them up.Healers are forced to play side by side and in the usual positions making the gameplay quite boring from a viewers perspective.Even though the maps can be open it doesn't take long for someone to challenge you.

This scenario becomes even worse if it is someone that can potentially just kill him while he wails away at them, like Hawkeye. Wolverine, and to a lesser degree, pretty much every melee character, except Iron Fist who is afforded both survivability in the form of bonus health/blocks and sticking power in the form of attack magnetism, faces these same problems.

After playing for 20+ hours, I think this game is just 3rd person Overwatch. Same ol' Damage/Tank/Healer roles, same ol' strategies, same ol' game modes. Some heroes are kinda cool like Bucky and Loki.
