Is even possible to create these pictures using 3D in blender?
Only a subhuman would ask something so retarded
>>1012229Yes, duh
>>1012229It is a little known fact that all Sengoku Rance models were in fact made in Blender
>>1012231FUCK OFF NIGGER BEFORE I BREAK YOUR JAW
>>1012235>>1012229No, the VN artist created everything from paper and digital it. That’s why it looks like that.>>1012237You stop lying about everything
>>1012241Of course since it's a 2006 game it was actually mostly made in Blender 2.40 and the current 4.4 version allows for much more impressive visuals
>>1012229this image is very unappealing to me.i dont see why you would chase this look in blender. you can make it look a lot better in blender. if you really want this flat look then just do it in 2d
>>1012247I can't make 600 pictures by hand.
>>1012265Well, you can't do it in 3d either
>>1012273Why though. You can make models and rigs once, then just position them in different ways, adjust lighting and normals and render each frame.
>>1012280Render is the problem, it doesn’t matter if you have a Linux operating system or Windows device with the highest performance. Rendering will take hours.
>>1012280It's entirely predicated on you thinking posing and lighting models is a zero effort thing.
>>1012295you can make a modular system similar to how VN uses a limited number of poses and layers.
>>1012295It's not zero effort but it's less effort then rendering every single frame manually by drawing it in 2d.>>1012293Rendering the full animation will take hours, but in such delicate area you probably want to render individual frames to check if they're alright. That's gonna be like 20 seconds.
>>1012310This guy is stupid, everyone knows rendering can create videos. The problem is the staging and background. You can’t have those things be in one location in one file.
>>1012297That's gonna take time and effort to set up
>>1012280Do you know what a "normal" is?
>>1012331Normal is a vector that describes light response of a geometry. By default it's perpendicular,in advanced NPR styles and especially in anime normals are most often manually edited and deviate highly from that. You can get non-perpendicular normals also automatically by using "shade smooth" instead of "shade flat" or with modifiers like "smooth by angle".https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKfFi1MpO9c
So yeah when I said "adjust normals" in >>1012280 I meant something like true 2d anime production in Blender. You will probably need to render it frame by frame and adjust normals manually between frames (in addition to moving their bones and so on) for it to look good. And even with this, using 3d here is probably still less time consuming than drawing every frame manually like traditional anime production.

>>1012339I thought of your stupid comment and this show up on /g/, see how stupid you sound.
>>1012367Sounds like you don't even understand what we are talking about. You picture couldn't be more irrelevant.
>>1012339Adjusting normal is one of the most horrible and time consuming things to do so no. Like, the whole point and advantage of 3d is you avoid to manually do stuff each frame
>>1012383> Like, the whole point and advantage of 3d is you avoid to manually do stuff each frameYou avoid stuff that you can avoid. The need to artistically break physical rules of lighting and proportions of your models is something where you can't avoid doing manual adjustments. What you can avoid is redrawing 100% of it from scratch.
>>1012384Drawing will be better because you can plan ahead vs not having a plan in 3D. That’s the major advantage in drawing that 3D also uses. Stop being stupid, none of what you’re saying is better than 3D, it’s only making things worse.
>>1012385What you're saying doesn't make any sense.Anyway pretty sure things I mentioned are all used in >>1012340 because there is simply no other way to achieve those visuals in 3d and that video shows it is indeed done in Blender.
>>1012388It’s called Drawing and the creator did drew it. All visual novels during the digital age transaction were hand drawn and printed into digital. InspirationTuts is a known YouTuber who lies about shit in 3D and never was an artist.A real example of how art went to digital: https://www.crunchyroll.com/watch/G4VUQ1E0Q/lets-make-bishojo-games-together
>>1012394You are beyond help.
>>1012397>Never used mouse for drawing>Never used Microsoft Paint>Never used obsolete dead computer to make VNYou have been wrong about everything in VN. Not once did you even consider drawing as part of 3D production. You just think we magically created from our thoughts when big studios had concepts arts.
>>1012383Most models emulating a 2D style simply make normals around the face flat. Because it's too much work to craft the normal masks required to handle all the various angles. a camera might view the face in.So it's easier to just remove the shading.>>1012388>>1012340It shouldn't take 4 months to create that short length of animation. And if I recall, that artist actually uses grease pencil to draw the smears and other minor details. So it still comes down to drawing to really sell the look.
>>1012229yes but its more practical to just draw
Holy ngmi in this thread. I don't know how its possible for you guys to be this clueless when there's thousands of anime NPR tuts online
>>1012400> shouldn't take 4 months to create that short length of animationGonna go with Dunning-kruger, huh?
>>1012806They don’t look like old style computer drawings, that’s the part where you nobody’s don’t understand.
>>1012819Nigger you're retarded and expect to be spoon fed.
>>1012835You’re never going to recreate 2000s style art like this post’s image. You simply too stupid to accept the reality of VN being hand drawn, not rendered.
>>1012836I'm not denying anything retard.. So you're telling me the artist drew it on paper then digitized it... Almost like you can make a render... And.... Draw over it...
>>1012838Yes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IaMHHGpqHrwYou literally can
>>1012806Link some good ones plz
You might want to check ucupumar at artstation
Yes and no.That image is done in 2D style.Your Rance character will look like a deformed shark if you changed the camera angle from that.
>>1012229Why wouldn't it possible?
