i'd like some feedback regarding my next step, topology, anything really, i wanna make an og sci-fi sleek gun, and so far this isreally hard for a begginer (aka me)even tho ive been studying blender on and off for a year, i must only have like 2 months total of learning.(sorry bad english)
topology
>>1030991Move the light so that it lights the gun. No point in showing it all in the dark
>>1030993yeah, im still having hard time with presenting stuff
>>1030994More to the right, light the whole thing
>>1030992There's nothing horribly wrong with the topology, but there's no point using subdivision surface for something like this. Just add bevels on the edges you want to round off (since you're basically only adding roundness for realism, just limit by angle, small offset, and a couple of segments).I recommend searching for Ian McGlasham on YouTube to learn the basics of good hard-surface topology. He really helped me get better fast.
>>1031003yeah blender is so hard and im a talentless chudi think ive reached my limit idk how to add details and not mess it all up, maybe my place is in the rentoid and min wage sector of life and i deserve this, im so sad, how do i become good or am i not enough for this hard skill that will b replace anyways by ai or by ppl doing this since age 8
>>1031004You’re coping a real gun of course it won’t look sci-fi. All 80s guns are based around real guns.
