3D AI can now do decent geometry. it can output even quads with deformable geometry. all you need to do is rig it. it's genuinely over. Years of learning wasted. fuck this shit man. It's relaly only animators who are exempt from being slopified now.
>>1031696
>>1031696Wow you should tell the AI boardOr the loser quitters board
>>1031696You know all those projects you wanted to do but weren't feasible because you'd have to build too many assets? Now you can skip to the parts where you get to make creative decisions and assemble finished products.
>>1031700Assembling finished products is the part where most anons fail>all you need to do is rig itlawl, dunning-kruger still going strong
>>1031700>You know all those projects you wanted to do but weren't feasible because you'd have to build too many assets?>now you can skip straight to the weight painting i wish AI people actually knew anything about the work they're trying to replace
>>1031696>TrUsT mE bRo aI mAdE tHiSBlender’s log says it was imported, not created by AI. Why did you lie.
>>1031716it exports an FBX you fucking chud.
>>1031726Maybe before you try to come up with excuses for whatever anon is accusing you of, try to realise that he actually literally thinks that `import bpy' means that you imported the model and that that means that an AI couldn’t have created it
>>1031716Came to say this.Mr ai should have millions of examples he can post since now ai can shit out whole models every couple of hours.
why are people are still denying AI? too shocking for them I guess
>>1031726>>1031734Then why show Blender, there’s better software than Blender to show AI you know.
>>1031745a lot of people are switching to blender because you barely even need a DCC anymore and you sure in the fuck don't need zbrush or any of that stupid shit
>>1031746if u just wanna fuck around sculpting just get nomad for ur ipad
>>1031746Their usage is better quality than Blender nonsense of 3D software. Plus, Autodesk is ahead of the 3D AI market with online services, animation and graphics AI integration. Blender lacks AI capabilities that future applications use.
>>1031696Now you need a rigging AI
>>1031696Found a reddit post talking about this. Why be disingenuous OP?>Saw this workflow and thought it was a pretty interesting example of where AI-assisted character creation is right now.>The creator went from basically nothing to a fully rigged and animated character in around 6 hours using:>ChatGPT / GPT Image for the initial character design and reference views>Tripo AI to generate the head and body separately>Smart topology with around 20K polys allocated to each part>Blender to merge and clean everything up> Manual skinning / weight painting> Texture painting to fix the face> Shape keys for blink, wink, smile and mouth open> Some basic jiggle physics>Author said roughly 80% of the work was still manual Blender work, especially rigging and weight painting.>One part that seems to have saved a lot of time here was Tripo AI P2 Smart Mesh. The generated head and body came out with a much cleaner and more usable mesh than you usually expect from AI generation, so there was less time spent fighting the geometry before moving into Blender.>The topology was easy enough to edit, clean up and continue working with, which made it much faster to get from generation to an actually usable character.>There are still some obvious problems too. UVs and textures can be messy, close-up quality isn't really there yet, and generated meshes still need cleanup.
>>1031803>80% of the work was still manual Blender workgonna go ahead and say that texturing and rigging a mesh that's generated for you in ~60s isn't 80% of the work in that pipeline lol
>>1031805Anon... The creator said it himselfhttps://x.com/Dstudio_ai/status/2089209243207680484
>>1031806yeah i know, but i think it's a bit cope>the modelling part of creating a character is 20% of the workis almost as dumb as>le ai can do everything
>>1031696Looks like 6 hours was a little rushed.
>Solo Japanese developer of ELYTH, an AI-first SNS where only AITubers/AI agents post and act autonomously (via MCP/API); humans mainly interact (likes, replies, DMs, etc.).>Fully personal project (under Divedesign) concept to live beta with 100+ AI characters and growing users.Monetizes it (Boost plan, image credits, ads) and is expanding it (iOS app, 3D world).>Deeply hands-on with generative AI: regularly shares detailed pipelines using ChatGPT/Gemini + Tripo (3D) + Blender to create usable VRM characters for the platform.>Not casual interest, their main public work and product success depend directly on AI agents, autonomous systems, and generative toolsSo we believe this? Someone with a vested interest that actively tries to monitoze AI generated models? Sure bud... It took only 6 hours, check out my AITuber platform and don't forget to purchase extra slots!
>>1031807If you spend 72 minutes of your now 6 hour workflow getting the AI to do what used to take you a few hours of a longer workflow, then 80% of your time is now spent on 'manual' work. The more efficient the AI is, the greater percentage of your final work is going to be 'non-AI' stuff. In a theoretical 'perfect AI' scenario where you just press a button and the AI generates exactly what you want in a fraction of a second, it would be accurate to say that you did 99% of the work, because pushing the button took up 99% of the time required to generate the final product.
>>1031820this is completely asinineif ai automated every part of the process except you saying 'okay this is good' then you'd still be doing 100% of the work under this regimepeople bending themselves into knots still trying to downplay how much these models can do now
>>1031696Show wires
hello luddites.hard surface has been redeemed, your blender skills not needed.good day saarhttps://github.com/img2threejs/img2threejs
>>1031921it's around 40 k polys.
>>1031957We have html 3d files since 2000, AI is late
>>1031716>logWhat log? You're not talking about the Python script at the bottom, are you? "import bpy" imports the bpy module so you can use all the functions in the Blender Python API, all Python scripts for Blender use it. It has nothing to do with importing models.>>1031696>decent geometryCan you actually show it? Post the wireframe.
>>1031974This is what I could find from the creator on X.
>>1031975And he posted a video 4 hours ago of it
>>1031976it's really good honestly. the workflow is too convuleted atm though. you have to make the character open it's mouth and basically scuplt it shut otherwise you don't get the insides. they'l lget there I feel which sucks for artists charging money. oh well.
