The theoretical maximum size of the site assuming every thread on every board was filled with posts at their 10MBs of data limit the entire site would be roughly 7TBs of raw image data. Round up to 8TB because nobody realistically makes 7TB SSDs.Now of course that's only the 'theoretical' max size but if I had to apportion drive sizes for a site I'd want to buy assuming the highest use case scenario.Now lets assume roughly 1/3rd to half of the capacity of the site is used that's still 2.3 to 4 TBs of images. And given that the post said most of the old images are lost we'll cut the low end in half again to a very round minimum, that's still a whole terabyte of raw images to sort through. Some number of which are potentially corrupted.Also having to sort out whatever malicious bot posted images might be mixed in.It's not surprising it's taking a while.According to 84193099 the text portion of posts is intact so at the very least most external links should be preserved.
