Tommy's mother (Monica) hasn't been shown yet, and it's never revealed who Tommy's father is, all we know is that Josy doesn't like her, and she says that it's where Tommy gets his personality.So, there's this story window there where maybe your dad got Monica pregnant before he met your mom, Lynette, the "legal problems" are child support to Monica, and that eventually you'll read the journal far enough that those problems are revealed somehow and then you'll ask your dad about it, which leads to him revealing you actually have a step-brother he never told you about. There's also the fun angle that he's your "father" and "brother" in the frat, and there are all these moments where you either call him father, or he says that he's your father, or brother, throughout the story, so it would be a funny tie-in, sort of like the "Do you see?" thing with Maya, but more comedic or whatever in this case. It would also make for some funny scenes on the Josy route, or in just general. Maybe it's all nonsense, but I do think it's more likely than some of the other retarded theories.
