Abnormal Shift dude back with a question for you guys relating to the comic, relating to this WIP art here.

Me and the artist were talking about upgrading Mule's and Novy's (along with all ZAP guards) uniforms to be body-suits and vests/tac-gear instead of the current BDUs they wear. It would probably be in chapter 5 or 6 of the webcomic framed as an upgrade for them.

What do you guys think?

Yeah I think the new look is definitely better, they're more distinct. Plus Novy has more cake, which an obvious plus. Idk if that's like a one-piece swimsuit over a tight bodyglove, or if she's just wearing the one-piece swimsuit, but either are fine by me. I think the former might even be better, because then it can get holes ripped in it.

If you really wanna get obscure it was actually the recent indie game Ground Zero that initially sparked the idea when I played it. Cause the protag running around in basically a tactical leotard/thong showing off so much ass that i showed both her and Regina to the artist. I was more expecting him to go with Regina's style for the ass being more covered but looks like the Seo-Yeon style was what he went with - no complaints there.

I know most readers probably won't complain if they got a view of Novy's ass at random points of the webcomic.

I don't really remember it happening but it was probably all from one guy like how there's one particular guy who freaks out any time two women are in the same pic. This isn't a thread that discourages yuri, just like this isn't a thread that discourages BDSM, and since it is a general purpose thread it's silly to freak out if something you don't like is posted. It was taken care of at the time. Problem is he just ban evades every time and asking for them to do a range ban is like asking for water in the desert. And yeah, it's so fucking stupid that they added a captcha cooldown and then didn't remove the report cooldown. Plus the captcha cooldown resets if it decides you didn't click on the correct triangle... AND there's a daily report cap where it'll just say the cooldown message for hours before it lets you report more (I've run into this plenty of times). That's without addressing the "false report" warnings they have now.
Seems they just want you to not make them do their jobs.

I think it kinda depends on how subtle you want to be with the fanservice and what kinda impression you want audiences to walk away with.
The old version could easily fly under the radar of non-mask-fuckers. The new version is clearly eyecandy. Not necessarily "the author's thinly disguised fetish" (especially with Y2K casual horniness currently having a bit of a renaissance in amateur web content), but you can tell that fanservice was one of the design objectives.
I think it's hot, but I think the choice of outfit will change what sort of "oh it's THAT kind of webcomic" impression audiences will walk away with.

I have been thinking about that cause while most people I've run the design by (not just friends too) have liked how it looked - I have gotten the same topic that you've brought up before. While the comic has been more action/comedy focused I do recognize that same people will glance thinking it's just a 'fetish comic' and walk off. The viewership I've been pulling so far has been both of people just enjoying soldiers vs weird shit and people of the masked-fetish variety.

Granted I just view outfits in comics as things that can periodically change. It's easy to write in a reason why they change outfits and why they could change back. Overall people told me it's just down to what I wanna do and frankly while yes this is for some fan service it's also cause I thought the characters looked cooler in this get up.

Honestly it's a hard decision still cause I do worry if it'll alienate people and just toss me into IT'S JUST A FETISH COMIC pile.
